1 moon old She-cat kit with FHS and slight ADHD
There was a huge problem. She had no idea what this cat was saying. She only recognized the words; "Clan", "Shadowclan," And "Friend". What was this cat even saying?
She assumed the cat was saying something like: "Shadowclan was friends with all the clans!" It sounded reasonable. She smiled.
He paid no mind to whatever the other kit was saying, or at least try too not listen to it too much. One ear kept flicking back and forth to pick up what Lostkit was saying then back to Dawnstar. Even if he tried he couldn't tell what sense the other was making so he turned his attention back to the leader. "What happens if they broke those rules?" he wondered if it was like a slap on the wrist or something else.

The first two seemed simple enough, but he wasn't so sure about that last one. That sounded painful and scary. Maybe he could do something else- anything that didn't involve fighting.
"Um... Do I have to fight? It sounds scawy..." he mumbled into his chest, eyes glued to the ground. He couldn't bring himself to look her in the eyes and hoped that she wouldn't be mad at his question.

Dawnstar found herself staring at the kit that said, friend. It took some long staring before Dawnstar finally came to the conclusion that Lostkit was simply too young to process anything that Dawnstar was saying. That or too mentally immature, regardless there would be no point in passing a kit that was too young to comprehend this lesson. Deciding to ignore Lostkit, she turned her attention to the other three older kits.
"Depends on your leader, we all rule differently and hand out different punishments," Dawnstar told Rufflekit. "I wouldn't recommend breaking the rules here though, I don't tolerate cats who can't follow simple rules," Dawnstar warned.
"Yes, if I give you the order you have to fight, no matter how scary it sounds. You are trained to be warriors, to die defending your clan is both noble and honorable, but what's better is fighting to live another day." Dawnstar told Cloverkit. "If you want to leave a soft life free of violence and conflict, then the life of a warrior is not for you. You belong with kittypets, whose twolegs provided everything for them, but also lock them inside and feed them dry pellets." She explained frowning unhappily at the question. "Or you can try becoming a medicine cat, they don't have to fight if they don't want to."
With the medicine cats brought up, Dawnstar decided to wrap up this lesson. "Our borders, the places we scent to tell our territory apart, must always be patrolled and defended. Any cat who isn't ShadowClan is automatically a trespasser and must be challenged and chased out. There are expectations to that rule though, Clan leaders and deputies on official business may cross over the border, but unless the business is urgent, they should wait at the border and brought in by a patrol, otherwise, they must be challenged. Medicine cats however are special, you shouldn't fight with a medicine cat unless you need to defend yourself or your clanmates. Most medicine cats aren't fighters, they're.... supposedly above clan brawls and clan rivalries. They can cross into our territory without being challenged, although if you ever find a medicine cat in ShadowClan's territory you should still ask them why they're here and offer to escort them. They shouldn't be wondering anyone's territory unescorted." Dawnstar finished her explanation and rose, stretching her back.
"That's all unless you have questions, shoo." Dawnstar waved the group away. "Lostkit, since it doesn't sound like you've made any sense of this lesson, you do not pass it. Try again when you're older."

Ruekit- Two Left Paws
Ruekit was upside down daydreaming when she heard the pawsteps of another cat... peering upwards she was pleased to she it was anotheer kit, like herself... maybe they would be willing to play with her? she really wanted to play...
The tabby, who was now thuroughly pouting, had turned his head to the side. Tail flicking beside him, "No. You ruined my...my. What was it called, tide? Yeah. You ruined my tide." he huffed. It was true! His pride was tarnished, after all he had been picked up as if he were nothing more than bedding moss. Maybe that was his life, what he was to become. A mossy boy.
However, the note of a story perked his interest. The fluffy mossball looked up at the older feline, interest sparking in his eyes. "Oh? Than I demand a story as worth as me." he sniffed. Yes, as worthy as a mossball. "Choose wisely, you only have once chance."
Oh dear, the little one was pouting. She certainly got herself into a predicament, but at least Eveningkit seemed to be fine... Unhurt, in other words, at which Nightshiver let a soft breath of relief. The bit of concern still in her eyes as she sat down was soon enough joined a bit of confusion as the kitten spoke of... Tide? What could have been his tide? Oh dear, had Eveningkit been hurt after all? A slight frown flashed across her face, the kitten seemed fine. How strange.
As his ears seemed to perk at the mention of story, it seemed for a moment that the forever queen was saved from eternal grudge-holding -- until she remembered her complete lack of imagination when it came to stories, and the awkward way with which he stutter allowed her to tell them. This truly was not her lucky day, but she ought to try nonetheless. The white feline tilted her head, lips pressing together as she bought some time trying to think of an adequate story to tell the young kitten.
"How.. About one... of the g-great.. adventures... of.. Mink..rush?"
"That's... right, yes."
Nodded Nightshiver as Ravenkit seconded her explanation to the young Cloverkit, her own expression soft as to make these things seem less frightening. She knew first-pawed how terrible fighting could be, how frightening it is to be lost mid-battle unable to do anything, needing to be saved but having no one to rely on. She'd experienced it more than once, shamefully so, both as a kit and apprentice. And while each time she was saved, these cats were no longer around today. Whether it be because they joined StarClan or could not stand the clan of shadows, she did not know. Oftentimes she still wondered: what had happened to her brother and dear friend? But the forever queen shook off the thought, eyes focusing again on the kittens as Ravenkit spoke again. Nightshiver's expression softened again, eyes looking tenderly at the child. She seemed dejected by the loss against WindClan; Nightshiver could understand why. A child's image of ShadowClan was often ideal, learning they didn't always win could be upsetting. But it is a part of life. "Yes... but it.. is a... oppor..tunity... to learn, too."
She gave Ravenkit a smile, silently trying to convey that it's alright to loose sometimes -- what mattered is that they were still alive, safe, and well. ..They had their fair share of casualties during the battle, yes. But the clan survived still, and now they had a new home. Loss was a part of life, and hopefully these kittens would grow up to accept that they couldn't win every battle. "Yes... that is... all."
Finally mew the queen, smiling gently in response.

The small grey and white kit peeked her head over the low mound of nest. There was something happening and she just had to find out what. She took a step and tumbled from the perch she'd been on at the edge of the nest. Her pelt was dusted by the soft ground and the graceless roll, but she popped back up, shook hard enough to shift her footing on the ground, then trotted forward with a bright smile to butt into whatever those other kits were doing. "Hi other kits!" She looked between the two. One was little, like her! And the other was bigger. "Are you a kit? Or are you all growed up? I will be all growed up someday, I think."

He literally jumped when he heard a voice speaking to... him? He spun on himself, slowly, on his small and unsteady little paws, and faced the kit that approached him, he made a small "M...Meow", a very small meow, he didn't knew how to speak for now, beeing a newborn.
He jumped again when he heard another voice, he this time turned only the head and looked at the other kit with his widened big green eyes and meowed again.

"Ruekit, I like that name," she cocked her head thoughtfully. "It almos' sounds like Wookit," she giggled, "Or Roonkit." She perked up, her pale blue eyes meeting the other kit as excited orbs, "Do you think maybe it's like ruin?!" Her head dipped playfully, the smile growing, her voice dropped to an excited, conspiratorial whisper, "Maybe we're the same! What does it mean?"
The conversation forgotten and the other kit suddenly back into the forefront of her mind, the little grey and white kit turned to the other small kit. She lifted a paw to try to gently touch the mewling kit. "You don' talk much, do ya?" And then distraction stole her attention again as the red feather went up into the air. Her backend slid down to sit as her eyes tracked the bright feathers as they were flung into the air and then drifting back down to the ground. "Ohh..."
