Swan licked her kits again. "Open your eyes, little one. Time to see the world." The white tom mewled and his eyelids slowly opened, revealing shining yellow eyes.

Swan smiled. "I shall name this one Pebble," She pointed to the gray she-kit with white underbelly, muzzle, and paws. "And this one Frost," she nodded to the white tom with yellow eyes. "And this one Talon." She finished with the white-and-gray tabby she-kit with brown eyes.

Swan smiled. "Thank you," She spread her legs out so Talon could get to her belly. Frost mewled and batted his sister with his paw, wanting more milk as well. While Talon may have been the last-born, the first-born, Pebble, was quietly sulking milk with no distractions.
