Re: Trees are cool! (TC app event)
(NOTE: This event canonically occurs before the creepingpaw leader's den meltdown situation)
Briskly padding over to an open spot around the large oak tree, Creepingpaw watched Nightgaze in silence, yet a faint glaze of disinterest seemed to blanket over his electric green eyes. Tch, climbing lessons, you mean what I've been doing since I was a kit? His right ear twitched as he silently huffed to himself, his glossy silver pelt and bold black spots and stripes rising and falling with his exasperated breath. Classic Creepingpaw and his ever inflating ego. Piece of cake.
Creepingpaw glanced over several spots away from him to Antpaw, the apprentice with the seemingly uppity demeanor, hoisting himself up gradually. Watching him struggle, Creepingpaw sneered with his fang peeking out from his lips as he unsheathed his claws. Digging his front then back paws into the tough bark, the apprentice began to scale the wooden heights with a challenging rigor, a look of determination, and a wild, confident smirk was plastered over his striking maw. Managing to seemingly effortlessly rip at the tree and hoist himself up, Creepingpaw reached up with his powerful paw to a branch that was slightly higher up than Antpaw. Suddenly, he felt the bark under his lower legs loosen and fall, causing him to slide as he felt his lower half collide with a cat below him.
"Tch.." He spat between his teeth, ears flattened as he glanced down below him, "HEY! Watch it!" The rowdy apprentice yowled, amazingly unaware that he was the one who slipped and should be apologizing instead.

Mothflame's eyes widened as Creepingpaw fell right on Firepaw, instinctively bolting forward to help. She did not expect, however, for Creepingpaw to lash out at Firepaw. Frowning, she turned to the spotted apprentice.
"Why not you apologise as well, Creepingpaw?" She said in the nicest voice she could possibly make at the time. "That way it's fair?" She then turned to Firepaw, mouthing a "Are you okay?" which received only a small nod.

Shaking his head in annoyance, Creepingpaw was about to continue his climb until he heard Mothflame's sharp voice rip through the air to chastise Creepingpaw. The silver and black adorned tom's ears flattened as he turned to first look down at Mothflame. Definitely wouldn't want to mess with her. As he glanced over at Firepaw, his tense and annoyed demeanor suddenly relaxed as he caught sight of her fear ridden expression. The arrogant apprentice suddenly shifted his position, reaching his paws out to the side so that he was able to scale the massive trunk once more, except downwards and towards Firepaw. His long claws scraped roughly against the hard yet brittle shedding oak tree as he carefully climbed down next to Firepaw, "H-Hey... I'm sorry." Creepingpaw croaked, his voice cracking as he gazed apologetically at Firepaw. Giving that moment of genuineness it's brief period before he smirked haughtily in the classic Creepingpaw fashion, bracing himself as he beckoned her with his head to the nearest branch above them, "...Sorry that I'm gonna beat you to the next branch!" Creepingpaw suddenly challenged in a playful demeanor, a mischievous glimmer flashing in his bright eyes as he waited for her to make the first move before he began their spontaneous race.

Ivypaw looked around for a tree. Finding one she found was fairly rough, she tried to climb it. Clawing her way up, she successfully got to one of the lowers branches. I wonder if I can get onto that branch... she thought, eyeing the branch next to her. she started trying to move sideways and almost made it to the branch, but her back leg slipped and she slid down the tree with a yelp.
She sat dizzy at the base of the tree for a moment, then shook away the fog and glared up at the tree. she would get onto that branch.

Firepaw was grateful for Mothflame's arrival. Her tail twitched behind her, and her single deep blue eye looked to Creepingpaw. Her anxious expression turned into a warm smile as he apologised, and when she opened her mouth to reply, it was quickly shut once Creepingpaw said something... Completely different. Was this a challenge?
She let out a nervous laugh, before unsheathing her claws and latching onto the tree.
"No, I'm sorry." She grinned, looking down at the grey and black apprentice.

Burnedpaw followed Nightgaze to the trees, watching his demonstration before approaching the tree and finding a spot that was free of other cats clinging to its bark. He had done some climbing with Hawkthorn, but truly he loved the thrill of climbing so much he wouldn’t mind the extra practice. The reddish brown apprentice set his paws on the truck of the tree before him, digging his claws to test his grip. Satisfied, he decided he wanted to go a little higher than he had last time. Less of a competition with his denmates, more just to expand his skills.
Burnedpaw pulled himself up and dug his hind claws into the tree, relishing the feeling for a brief moment. He pushed himself up with his hind claws and dug his foreclaws in again, repeating the motion. Once at the branch Nightgaze indicated, Burnedpaw hooked his forepaws around it and hoisted himself up. It wasn’t very graceful, but he didn’t care. After taking a moment to enjoy the breeze in his fur, he backed down the branch and hooked his claws into the bark again. Descending until he was close enough to the ground to jump down, landing on his paws as Hawkthorn had shown him earlier.
Burnedpaw looked up at the tree behind him, his eyes glittering with a rare semblance of emotion. Satisfied, and still feeling the thrill of the wind in his fur, he stepped away from the tree to make space for his clanmates.

Creepingpaw's sly grin grew wider as he watched Firepaw's slender red frame take the first few lunges up the tree, but the tom knew better than to make it too easy for her. Shifting his weight on his hindlegs and leaping up for a quick burst, Creepingpaw dug his claws deep into the tree trunk and began climbing after her, his face lit up with excitement from the challenge. Whether Firepaw was actually faster, or maybe Creepingpaw's hesitation at the end of their race was the reason, but Firepaw won undoubtedly.
As Creepingpaw reached the large branch that Firepaw had gotten to first, the lean apprentice chuckled and smirked as he dipped his broad head down in admittance of defeat, bowing to the victor before raising his head back up to meet the deep blue pool of her eye with his fiery gaze, "Nice one, you're a pretty quick climber!" Creepingpaw praised, throwing his head back to belly laugh boisterously before play bowing with his tail waving excitedly behind him from the rush. With Lavendersong away on a journey and Shockhoney sick in the warrior's den, he couldn't remember the last time he was able to feel any sort of thrill or have fun. Relaxing his toothy grin into a friendly smile, Creepingpaw's black ears flattened as he bashfully realized how rowdy he seemed to be. Dropping the tone of his voice to be more gentle and approachable, "I'm Creepingpaw... and you are?" he meowed calmy, his deep forest eyes wide with curiousity.

Firepaw let out a breath of triumph, peering down at the silver and grey as he made his way up the branch. Though he hadn't made the best first impression, Firepaw could tell there was something kinder about the tom. Nervously smiling at the compliment, she laughed, attempting to return it.
"Yeah, thank you, uh- you too!" She couldn't help a purr, noticing how the apprentice was quite cheerful and seemingly excited, despite how snarky and mean he looked at first. She nodded without thinking. What the hell why did she nod huh "Firepaw. It's Firepaw."

The grey and black tabby briefly glanced at Firepaw's vast amounts of scars, his expression neither shifting nor wavering. How cool... He thought to himself. Creepingpaw wondered what hardship the she cat had gone through to gain those scars. The young tom's slightly bashful expression relaxed as he playfully flashed a goofy grin. He wasn't the best at being not stand off-ish and having self awareness sometimes, but Creepingpaw had a newfound respect for Firepaw for being up to the challenge. He didn't have any other friends besides Shockhoney, so making friends wasn't necessarily his strength either. Maybe Firepaw could be a good training or sparring partner, especially with Lavendersong gone.
Glancing down below at the Warriors and few apprentices who hadn't made it to the top, Creepingpaw turned his gaze back to Firepaw and motioned below them with a flick of his head then glancing above them and smiling mischievously before speaking, "Should we get back down.. or race to the next branch~?" Creepingpaw questioned teasingly, his voice becoming smoother and magnetic.

Beachpaw -
Beachpaw wished more supervising warriors had been available because apprentice training dragged enough without there being lines to contend with. If they were a more self-conscious cat, they would’ve also noted the extreme anxiety of performing in front of a crowd of waiting apprentices adding to preexisting pressures.
But when it was finally their turn, their skills from a previous tree-climbing session soon returned to the forefront of their mind. It flooded back with the repetitive movements of placing one paw above the other, claws dug into bark. While their process still wasn’t elegant, it got the job done, and then they were back on solid ground.
