Daffodilpaw nudged her brother with her shoulder and gently batted his ear with a sheathed paw playfully. “Rude!” She meowed with a laugh. Then she looked at their gathered supplies thoughtfully. “Hmmm…an obstacle course?” She suggested. “Oh! Or a fox? A badger? A hare?” She prattled off ideas as they came to her, looking to Bouncepsw expectantly. Then her eyes glittered mischievously. “Or maybe a squirrel?”

"Sure, a squirrel. Maybe if we're lucky it'll look like a cat." Bouncepaw starts gathering dirt and stones with his paws, and searches for an acorn he can use to help make the sculpture more real. Squirrels were always around acorns, weren't they? He sniffs the air, eyes taking in the fallen oak leaves, scanning for a nut, then he stops. The small sound of scrabbling paws and rushed, tiny breathing.
Bouncepaw drops into a crouch. If he's lucky, he might get a real squirrel right now.

Daffodilpaw laughed at her brother, dipping her paw in some fresh mud and flinging it at him playfully. “You’re so mea!” She mewed playfully. She didn’t really feel that way of course. She was busy gathering some leaves to add the texture of fur, shaking her mud-dipped paw when a leaf got stuck to her.
Then she noticed her brother suddenly drop down. She focused her gaze and spotted the squirrel right away. Daffodilpaw instinctively crouched like Elkjump showed her, lowering her tail so it wasn’t visible but keeping it off the ground. She glanced at Bouncepaw and blinked slowly at him, letting him know it was his catch. She slowly crept around the squirrel in a wide circle, positioning herself where she might be able to catch the squirrel in case it ran from Bouncepaw. Every sense intently focused on their target.

Bouncepaw has zero hesitation as he jumps on his prey and kills it in one bite. His form isn't perfect, but he's lucky today, and his catch is slow and dumb. His prey twitches one last time. Bouncepaw lets go and prods it carefully. "Is it dead?" He asks dumbly.

She was not going to take no for an answer, and she knew that Bouncepaw was aware of how serious she took her faith.

Oh, right. Since Bouncepaw is now relieved that his catch won't suddenly run off, and he sits and starts praying to Starclan. It's his first time, what should he say?
'I thank Starclan for this catch I made today,' Bouncepaw tries to think, 'And I give thanks to the squirrel and the forest for giving a life to feed our clan. I shall only take as much as I need, and I shall give all I can.'
Was that good enough? Bouncepaw opens his eyes and glances around. It takes a while for the news to sink in. He caught a squirrel. He. Caught. His. First. Prey. His expression slowly lights up like a Christmas tree. Oh boy, was he telling Bluestrike. His mentor would be so proud.
"Thanks, Daffodilpaw!" Bouncepaw meows, picking up the squirrel in his mouth. He bounces over to the fresh kill pile.
