The grey tom grinned back at Maple. 'You seemed so surprised!' he teased. 'Were you not expecting a sneak attack from a ShadowClan warrior?'

He suddenly flopped on the ground beside Mapledawn like a dead fish. 'Oh, no! I shouldn't have attacked a ThunderClan cat, I should've chosen someone else to fight! Now I'm going to get shredded!' Basil yowled in mock terror, lying on the ground. 'I surrender! You're too strong! I chose the wrong cat to attack!'

Mapledawn let out a laugh, flipping over so she was now standing on her paws beside Basilwisp. She then placed a paw on his chest, grinning.

"That's right! You fox-hearted ShadowClan cat never should have messed with a ThunderClan cat!" She laughed, her tail lashing. She lifted a paw, claws sheathed, as if threatening to claw his throat out.

'Oh no!' he wailed dramatically. He churned the air gently with his paws, pretending to be struggling. 'Please don't hurt me! ThunderClan is the strongest clan, I'll admit it! Just let me go!' Basil grinned up at Maple; it was so peaceful, hanging out with her, with nothing to worry about except getting discovered.

If only it could be like this every day.

Mapledawn gave a uncharacteristic grin, gently hitting Basilwisp's shoulder multiple times with claws sheathed. She stepped away from him, still smiling.

"I'll spare your lfie this time, but I won't let you go the next time we meet!" She let out a playful hiss, dropping to a crouch for a moment, then straightening her posture again. Mapledawn smiled at Basilwisp's very playful side. When they first met, he'd looked like he was ready to rip her apart.

That just means he's really loyal to his Clan, that's nice..

The tom jumped to his paws and grinned at Maple. 'Oh, no! Please spare me next time! You're too powerful!' he mewed in mock terror. He flicked his tail and began picking the leaves out of his fur with his teeth and paws, before shaking his pelt, sending leafy debris everywhere. Basil stared at the floating leaves, before sneezing as one tickled his nose, and glanced at Maple to see her reaction.
