Re: No Time To Lose [ Training Event - Warriors & Apprentices ]
Stormfall crept closer to the gathering of cats. "I'll join." A small smile formed on her face. She didn't have an apprentice, but she did like teaching.

Re: No Time To Lose [ Training Event - Warriors & Apprentices ]
Event [#event]➣ The tall RiverClan tomcat’s single eye seemed to shine with slight surprise, but overall gratitude by how many clanmates approached and gathered around him. Warriors and apprentices stood before Snowleap, looking to the dark oriental longhair for what was to happen next. He recognized Fawnpaw and Shadepaw among them. Some cats even yowled in agreement to his words and it made him smile, his heart pounding in his chest with this newfound determination to steer RiverClan in the right direction. He would do his best to not let anyone down again. That was a promise that he would keep.
“Thank you all very much. I am very pleased with how many of you are eager to train. It means the world to me, it truly does.” Snowleap said, his tail swishing behind him as he addressed his clanmates. He wished Bluebellcrackle was among his crowd. One of his ears twitched to Steamtail’s words, regarding an ambush rather than battle. It was a reasonable concern and there was a part of him who was sure that would be the case of their next attack. But the deputy couldn’t blame Cinderstar or any ThunderClan cats for that course of action. RiverClan was the one who kidnapped Cinderpaw, and they just wanted her back. “No matter how ThunderClan chooses to come at us, we will be prepared, I assure you.” He would not stop their neighboring clan from taking back their clanmate, but if he can help avoid any more unnecessary death, then Snowleap would do so in a heartbeat. That’s all he truly wanted from this training. Preparation. Nothing more, nothing less.
Peering around at the group, the long-furred oriental tomcat hummed, thinking for a moment before nodding. “Alright then. Follow me, RiverClan! We will train at the Training Island. There is no time to lose!” Snowleap called out to everyone, looking up at the sky. It was overshadowed by darkened clouds, which made it hard for him to tell what time of day it was, but he was determined to not waste a single second of daylight if he could help it. With that decided, the RiverClan deputy turned and gestured with his tail for the warriors and apprentices to follow him as he pushed through the reeds that made up the camp’s entrance. He was still getting used to being an important part of his clan, but this would be a good start to make sure he would be truly ready to lead RiverClan someday. Leading his clanmates, it didn’t take too long to get to the Training Island. Hopping over the shallow stream that separates it from the rest of their grounds, Snowleap briskly trotted into the open space.
Padding to the opposite side of the island, Snowleap turned swiftly on his paws to face the group and make sure everyone was here before he continued. “Okay. Apprentices, please gather towards the middle. Warriors, if you can, move to the outer rim of the crowd. You are free to either practice the moves with our apprentices, or simply observe. No matter what you choose to do, do not hesitate to help out a paw if you see them needing help.” He hoped these instructions would make sense to everyone and that he was doing good so far. From this point on, he looked specifically towards the RiverClan apprentices who were here. “I am sure all of you have differing levels of training, but to make this easy for everyone, we will start from the beginning and work our way through a battle training session - starting from simplest to more difficult moves. Keep your claws sheathed. I don’t want to see any of that out here today or you will be sent back to camp. With that said, does everyone understand?” Snowleap would take his time to make sure everyone was situated and ready before they would actually begin the lesson. But once he got the okay from every cat, they would start.

Re: No Time To Lose [ Training Event - Warriors & Apprentices ]
Although Littlepaw didn't entirely know the outcome of Cinderpaw's kidnapping, she knew Snowleap would do what he could to prepare his Clanmates. The she-cat was bubbling with anticipation, nervousness, and excitement. My first battle training session! I hope I do good...
Checking to be sure her claws were sheathed, Littlepaw stepped foward, following the dark gray tom to the Training Island. Once the deputy had given orders for warriors to go on the edges and apprentices to go to the middle, the young apprentice moved to the middle and sat in silence to make sure she heard the next of his instructions. At least we're starting at the beginning and working our way up... she sighed with relief.

Re: No Time To Lose [ Training Event - Warriors & Apprentices ]
Stormfall sheathed her claws, rising to her feet to follow the oriental to the training island. At the orders of the deputy, the large molly took her seat at the outer rim of the crowd. She brushed out her long, grey and white fur, looking at the apprentices that had gathered. She waited for any further orders, her tail coiling around her paws. If Thunderclan decides to retaliate.. we need to be ready. Aside from the moral implications, she didn't think kidnapping an apprentice was a smart idea. Thunderclan would be angry- and they couldn't afford losing anymore clanmates.
(Open to helping any apprentices!)

Troutstone followed Snowleap to the training island, then stood back when ordered. "Yup!" he called.
Reedsplash leaped to her paws. She tried not to bump into any cat as she made her way to the island. "Yes!" she called to her deputy.

Lilycreek settled at the outer rim, stilling her usually expressive rail. She observed the apprentices with critical eyes. Some of them needed help, but whatever. She would help whoever wished to approach her.

Re: No Time To Lose [ Training Event - Warriors & Apprentices ]
Gingerfrost remained silent as he awaited further instruction – it was rather clear the most possible place they were to go was the training island, but some cats liked to mix it up. Wouldn’t be good anyway to just go ahead and leave. As he waited, the ginger picked up on some bits and bobs of conversation – like the ambush theory, and the fact that Snowleap replied. The tom held back a slight scoff. Ambush or not, it didn’t change anything about apprentices needing training. But whatever. And even if they did ambush, they had every right to want to get Cinderpaw back – but RiverClan still had a duty to protect their clan and camp.
Getting to his paws, location clear, the tom followed along in a somewhat lethargic looking but otherwise average pace (for him, at least. He was keeping up just fine).
How were they going to go about this. He had some thoughts, based on previous events, though it appeared Snowleap was taking a different approach. It’ll be of interest to see how this works out. As instructed, the tom padded to the outer rim, where he sat himself. His mind paid little to no mind to those around him as he kept an eye on the apprentices and awaited further instruction – well, more for them than him. His job was fairly clear if Snowleap mentioned everything right.
So how would he go about it? He’d likely have to approach the apprentices himself, unless they asked for help right away. Some might, yet he wasn’t counting on it. What a pain, but whatever. It was for their training and some could hardly know whether they were really doing something correctly or not. The finesses, at least not all of it. So yes he would keep watch and pay attention where it was due, to aid appropriately at an appropriate time or when asked. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t try on their own first, however. Trial and error was part of learning, he had learned that by now.

Dovebark
Dovebark grinned, purring. She padded alongside Shadowspark and chatted to him as they followed Snowleap.

// Bluepaw | He|His|Him | RiverClan Apprentice \\
Bluepaw chased after his mentor, happy. "Wait for me, mentor!" He called, his fluffy white fur blowing in the wind as his paws sent dirt and mud and grass flying behind him.
