Flintfreckle realized he shouldn’t have snapped. Yes, the pain of Losing Sagedust was still fresh, but it wasn’t his place to get mad at his apprentice. “Sorry Frostpaw. I shouldn’t have put that on you like I did. This is new to me. I have to put my wisdom on you, not my sorrows.” He mewed finally as he gazed around the old Twoleg structure. Sagedust would’ve hated it being in the middle of the forest. The tang of salt was fresh as Flintfreckle breathed it in. It was almost toxic on how abundant the smell was. Flintfreckle refrained from wrinkling his nose at the smell and instead focused on its uses. Though he didn’t look at his apprentice, Flintfreckle held on ill-will to the younger tom. “Any questions or do we want to try and see the borders?” He couldn’t see the sun since the top of the nest covered it, but he knew they would probably still have time to do them. That hadn’t been in the Waterbarn for that long anyways.

The white apprentice was a bit confused by the apology, although he didn't show it. He was used to being disregarded and the same outburst to his first mentor would've earned him some less than desirable chores around camp. "I am also sorry," Frostpaw said quietly. "I should not have snapped at you in the first place." Great. Now that that was over with, maybe Frostpaw could stop feeling so awkward in this place. "The borders is fine," the white tom replied. "They are... the Whispering Wetlands, Herondive Hollow, and Saltmeadow Marsh, right?" As they left the Waterbarn and continued walking, a question floated into Frostpaw's mind. "You said that the Waterbarn was an emergency camp. Did ShadowClan ever resort to using it? I know that part of WindClan stayed there for a time..." @Ombre Party

Falcondive was frustrated no one seemed to remember the relocated queens, kits, and maybe some untrained apprentices.. so he made his uncomfortable trek from camp to limp to the Waterbarn.

What he saw and heard, he was not impressed by. "Chasepaw, leave Blackpaw and Falconkit alone!" His hackles rose, bristling. "She is a KIT, for Star's sake! She does not need to be romantically interested in anyone and SHOULD NOT BE. Stop being a creep and go back to camp, now." If Chasepaw went willingly, there would be no issue. Falcondive did not want to deal with him being weird around kits and other apprentices.

To the collection of other young cats and Owlfeather, he flicked his sore tail irritably. "All of you, we are going home. RiverClan is gone. Stay close to me." He did not miss the familiar gray lump on Owlfeather, and he narrowed his eyes slightly before he turned on his paws to head out.

At some point Smokewing had found herself dozing off despite her best attempts to stay awake and manage the kits and keep an eye on the other queens and Owlfeather. It was Falcondive yelling at Chasepaw that startled the gray-ticked molly out of her sleep with a small gasp.
Wiping a paw over her face, the forever queen slowly stood up and looked to the others with a small smile. "Come on everyone, stay close. We'll be back home soon."
She was thankful they were finally going back to the nursery, she had missed it and she was sure most of the kits had missed it as well. Of course she wasn't looking forward to the walk back, her legs would be sore. But she wouldn't complain, Falcondive didn't look to be in the mood to listen and she's sure none of the others were either. Sweeping her tail, she moved to corral any straggling kits towards the entrance so they could get a move on back home.

Falcondive bared his fangs at Chasepaw. "You were harassing a kitten about romance. That is not helping anyone." Children, especially-- should not be put in that situation and he was disgusted with Chasepaw, no excuses would change his mind. "Stay away from both of them."

On that note, he headed out.

Daintybird had quickly become Daintybored, left in this old twoleg structure with nothing to do but watch these demonic imps run around like they were possessed by Eternalstar himself. And that old bag Owlfeather wasn't interesting in the slightest, lazing around.. being useless. The kits were lucky to have her, because left alone with Foulfeather and Jokewing, they were bound to burn something down. "Finally," she meowed, grateful for Falcondive's arrival, "a warrior escort! My hero, saving us from this drab barn." Its only use was sadistic plotting. "Come along, sweetie," she chirped to Heatherkit, prompting her forward, "it is time for us to brave the forest once again and return to camp."

Frozenpaw stirred, going from peacefully asleep to wide-eyed and ready to rumble in the span of a second. He jerked upward, springing to his paws to do a little dance around Falcondive, recognizing him from a previous memory. "FAIL CONE!" he squeaked jubilantly. What a fool, thinking RiverClan was gone! And yet he prevailed, heehehe! Frozenpaw scooted under Falcondive, weaving between his paws as he led the way out of the barn.
