The tabby padded toward the group that was forming, ears angled forwards. So much had been happening in the Clan recently, such a busy life. Was it always like this, or was he just remembering wrong?

Snakepaw nodded. He flicked his ears toward an area where he heard a mouse scurrying about.

Darkclaw was eating a small pice of prey, not rabbit, when she heard her name called by Peachfrost. She listened to the other names called. An herb patrol. As she stood up and gathered with the others, she fell a certain pride of her name being called first. She didn't know why and it was a stupid thing to be proud of but she just liked it.

Thistlewing focused on the area Snakepaw indicated. She did hear a mouse there. She nodded to Snakepaw and made a gesture with her tail to spread out and cut off the mouse’s escape routes. Since Snakepaw had been the one to find the mouse, it only seemed fair he be the one to pounce on it initially. Thistlewing gave him a nod and gave him the signal for You go first.

Snakepaw crouched and began to stalk the mouse. He padded onto the rock above it silently, and jabbed his paw in there, hitting the mouse hard. He hooked his claws around it and flipped it out. It began to run, straight towards Thistlewing.

Thistlewing pounced, her front paws landing squarely on the mouse. She killed it quickly with a bite. ”Good job, Snakepaw,” she said. Thistlewing looked around, trying to smell for more prey. ”Think we can catch another piece before heading back?”
There was little time before they’d need to report back, but Thistlewing thought that there should be time for one more catch. Especially since one mouse wouldn’t feed an entire Clan.
