Crowtooth was in a word, filthy. He'd finished digging out the prey stores in the warren today and was coated in dirt he didnt bother to brush off in the slightest as he padded into the clearing tired and tail dragging over the dust. Sure he wasnt the type of cat to particularly care about his hygiene and on most days his fur was messed up and a little but dirt dusted but this was a lot for even him..... Buuuuut he was too tired to take groom himself right now, his paws aches and the lazy tom just wanted a nap so that wasnt going to happen until after some sleep. Not even getting to the warrior den he collapsed with a groan in the middle of the clearing, uncaring of anyone he anyone he blocked from moving around the camp or little kits underpaw he nearly squished. They could move out of the way Crowtooth was shaking the ground with a thump.

Thistlewing padded out of camp, already sniffing for more prey. She turned to her patrol. ”Okay. Is there any spot in particular that you three would like to hunt in?” She asked. ”Preferably one with no rabbits.”

"What?" Silentstorm followed behind Thistlewing, scanning the skyline for prey. When her head turned back, the she-cat was looking at her. Great, she must have spoken. "Can you repeat that?" It was embarrassing to ask. Asking for clarification always made her seem weak, distracted. I bet half the clan thinks I just don't listen. She did listen, she just... couldn't hear? Silentstorm wasn't sure how to describe it. Sometimes she made up voices in her head to go along with the moving mouths of clanmates.

"She said is there any spot in paticular you'd like to hunt. Preferably one with no rabbits." Snakepaw growled. "I think we should check adder rocks, because birds liek to hunt the snakes there." He mewed

A set of jitters ran up the molly’s spine, her paws itching to run with that fire in her belly. Casting a small gaze, Rabbitrunner shook out her pelt and winked, bracing as Swiftfire began the countdown. Three.. Her weight began to shift to her hindlegs, coiling to maximize her energy upon take-off. Two.. Preemptively, she balanced out her tail, readying it to use for steering around those tight-knit corners in the Adder Rocks. She was ready for this. She was built for the speed.

“One! Go!” A shrill yowl roared from the lanky she-cat, her hindquarters unraveling to spring forth within mere seconds and the WindClan warrior was off, dust spilling beneath her as her pawsteps thundered against the weathered, dry soil.

Racing was one of her guilty pleasures, marveling in the cool breeze that stroked through her ruffled pelt, the way things blurred past her as she ran. Rabbitrunner closed her eyes for a moment with a cheerful, thrilling racing yell. Opening her eyes once more, the warrior began to lean into a curve, lowering herself to the ground for the turn for a sprint within the curve. Her tail tipped towards the direction of her head, as racing this course taught her that the winding and sharp turns were definitely a risky play.. But, paid off well if you knew how to use them right, and the she-cat knew them well as practicing the trail was a pastime in her youth.

Time slowed around her. Thumpthump..thumpthump.. The blood roared in her ears as her coiled muscles launched her into a sprint. Moons of paws passing through here had worn the ground into a well beaten path. Swiftfire's legs pumped with energy, each spring sending her forward faster each time. She streaked alongside Rabbitrunner, keeping to her inside around the curve to take that extra few feet to get ahead. The turn was sharp, but Swiftfire had practiced a new trick since her apprenticeship;

Drifting.

The turn came. While Rabbitrunner angled her tail and body, Swiftfire planted all four paws, claws sheathed, and let her momentum carry her around the bend on the loose dirt so that she faced the end of the turn. Dust flew in Rabbit's direction as Swiftfire drifted the curve, breaking back into a spring with a well timed spring at the peak of her slide. Swiftfire pulled ahead, laughing as she sprinted further into the Adder Rocks. Rabbit wasn't the only one that took pleasure in the feeling of being fast, or having the wind whisk past her face!

Rainpaw was grateful that her friend moved over to let her in. Thinking about it she had more than one place she could go. Twilightstar had opened her den to her if she needed somewhere to get away from her Clanmates or someone to cry with, but right now, the black apprentice just wanted to be with her friend, the one she still had left.
Crawling into Bunnypaw's nest Rainpaw felt herself relax against her friends soft fur. A sigh escaping her mouth as she settled in and felt the comforting licks. "I just... can't close my eyes without thinking of Littlepaw... Seeing him... how he died I mean. It keeps me awake..." She explained tucking her head under Bunnypaw's chin. "I don't want to forget him... but I want to forget he's gone sometimes..." Rainpaw added on, swallowing a lump in her throat.

Bunnypaw gulped as she listened to Rainpaw gently comforting her by putting her tail on her. She wished she knew how to fix it,” I’m certain he’s well in Starclan and isn’t in pain anymore” she meowed unsure if she was helping or just making it worse. She wanted to take away Rainpaw’s grief, she’d be happy to grieve intensely and have that memory with her forever if that would mean Rainpaw wouldn’t have grief. But she couldn’t just do that, even though she wanted to.

"Mother!" Bearkit called out as he trotted into the nursery, making a beeline for the nest he and his littermates shared with their mother. Secure between his jaws he had two dandelions he'd found at the edge of the clearing. It was really busy today, the rest of the clan was bustling around to fix the camp but he was too overwhelmed by the activity to help out efficiently. Instead, he decided he'd pick a few flowers for his nest and stay in the nursery for today, it was easier on his nerves and eyes. "I've got some flowers, mother! Everyone's moving around camp a lot today. I think they're decorating or somthin'." He stuck the two dandelions into the moss of their nest, the flowers sticking up like they were still growing.

okay Midnightkit she purred as she walked out fo the den with a swollen belly when she came back she dropped two small mouses in and flops she was excepting another kit soon!
