Stepping out into the clearing, Peachfrost quickly cleared her throat before hopping on a nearby rock. "Excuse me everyone! I have my first herb patrol today, and I need a few extra cats to help me! Alongside me, Snakeheart and Kestrelwing, I would like Strikecry and Sweetpaw to join us! Please don't diddle daddle!" Deciding to keep it short and sweet, she hopped off and waited for the members to gather. The sooner this is done the sooner Snakeheart and Kestrelwing go home!"

Snakeheart was there of course he was he needed to be in order to try and teach Peachfrost as much as he could on this patrol before it was his time to head back home. It was nice in a way to pay back what was done for him and despite her demeanour the sheer fact that she was trying was enough to start to endear windclans new medicine cat to riverclans so far. Only the stars knows if that'd stick, if Snakeheart could have a friend in windclan like he used to have with Coldamber (but he knew full well it wouldnt be like he had with her perfectly, he wouldnt allow that anyway that relationship was to dear and too painful to lose) but he hoped it'd turn out well. After everything he felt that both clans and cats needed something good. Though with Peachfrosts ice cold demeanour maybe that wasnt even possible.... He'd try anyway he owed that much.

"See no snapping Kestrelwing youre included in this. Im not going to go out and get 'mauled by some hawk without protection' despite being among a patrol youre gonna be there carrying the herbs I tell you too to help." The warrior had been snappish all visit long, first out of worry (Snakeheart was never going to let that go, Kestrelwing showed he cared~) then just due to nature but if the medicine cat had to bite his tongue to make peace here he would too. But he wouldnt ever skip teasing the Birdbrain a bit so he happily snarked at his fellow clanmate while waiting. "Ill be sure to make to make you get the burdock too, as a treat~" Also to spare Snakeheart from having to, he hated that bitter numbing herb.

weaving flowers into their curly fur, sweetpaw stopped as soon as they heard their name called. herb patrol...? looking around, they spotted peachfrost, and the fishclan medicine cat! (snakeheart was his name, luckily they paid attention.) oh, oh! and strikecry was coming too?? this would be amazingggggg! (they completely ignored the name kestrelwing.)

bounding over to the older cats, the apprentice flashed them both a huge grin. "hi peachfrost!! and, snakeheart from fishclan." they greeted loudly, words ending in a happy sounding hum. they casted a short glance to snakeheart, before turning their full attention to peachfrost.

what exactly..did you do on herb patrols? they knew that they'd have to collect herbs, but what herbs? what did the herbs look like? or smell like? hmm. (oh my, what if the herbs made sounds?) "what...herbs are we gonna be looking for..exactly?" they questioned with a slight tilt of their head.

Fish fang? Well Snakeheart had heard worse nicknames and this was obviously a thing Fernpaw did with cats so the tom let the whole thing go without comment. "Help you fix the camp? Well I suppose we can make some time to help with that before we have to go though give me a moment to try and talk with Peachfrost will you. I need to help her as a medicine cat with medicine cat stuff, go collect some 'moss feathers and sticks' if you wish Ill join in a bit." Ha let the birdbrain deal with his loud moor chick, he had his own assistance to offer before he was free to deal with. The meeting seemed to be over so with a nod and a wave he padded off to slip into the medicine cat den leaving the remaining cats to do what they will.

Why. Why was he roped into collecting herbs? He was a warrior who did warrior duties. Wasn't the whole point of Twilightstar electing a medicine cat so that he wouldn't have to do this?? At Snakeheart's remark the gray tabby just scoffed. "If it was gonna happen anywhere it'd be on this exposed piece of moorland. I'm sure you'd give it a good enough bite though it'd drop you just as soon as pick you up." That made a thought cross his mind, of potentially getting... well, he guessed they were friends at this point. Snakeheart felt like a brother of sorts. Regardless, he'd need some fighting lessons. Even being a medicine cat didn't spare him from that.

Glancing at the first cat that came up, with flowers all twisted around in her fur, the first thing Kestrelwing noticed was that... he was completely ignored. Great. He comes to help, along with the rest of the RiverClan patrol, aaaaand their allies are ignoring him. The tom wanted to grumble, or snap, or both, but he knew Snakeheart would cuff him over the ears for it. So instead he just waited for the rest of the patrol to gather.

Usually kits and apprentices irritated Kestrelwing to no end. He'd just as soon punt them into a fast moving river as look at them - which is what he had originally planned to do with Fernpaw - something about Fernpaw... amused him. Whether it was the bundle of energy that was so palpable the warrior could practically taste it or the fact that he still wasn't scared off by how grumpy Kestrelwing could be, the tabby tom didn't necessarily care. It was quite a nice break from reality whenever he got to interact with the young apprentice, despite being from different Clans.

"RiverClan is here to help, so I assume that camp fix up now relates to that," Kestrelwing agreed reluctantly, though got to his paws as Snakeheart finished speaking. Of course he wouldn't stick around - though it wasn't like Kestrelwing would fault his Clanmate. He'd come here under the guise of assisting WindClan and helping heal their wounded - so that left him standing next to Fernpaw with a somewhat free afternoon to collect "moss and feathers and sticks".

Shifting his gaze to Fernpaw, Kestrelwing offered a sly grin, tail flicking slightly. "Alright kid. I'm not from around here so you gotta show this Fish Bird where the best place is to collect all these things, okay?" He was sure he could find his way around, by why suck the joy from Fernpaw playing guide? Besides, it would serve as his amusement for the day, watching the apprentice scramble around and practically being the ony contributing member of the Clan.
