Beetlepaw’s skin grew hot as she realised that they were looking at her. She started to casually clean her claws, avoiding eye contact. “That was close” she muttered under her breath.
@Highsnow of Matterhorn
Twistedkit Black she with cream swirls and white flecks; green-blue coloured eyes, one with polycoria and a scar.
What do we have here? Her paws were scooped around the soil that coated the ground, a wide grin spread across the feline's face as she eyed the subject of her interest with care. Idle claws were unsheathed as she carefully poked at the little grains of brown her clan walked upon on the daily, the twisted-cream stripes of her tail swaying over from left to right with vigour, leaving a cloud of dust in its wake. Her expression grew from mischief to gleeful enjoyment as she threw herself to the ground, the soil kicked up in the air and falling upon the fur of her belly, a tickling sensation.
The bugs were flying. They flew, then they fell, and she caught them. Mister Bunny must be around here somewhere, too - a long-lasting friend of hers, he dug burrows. She imagined, the soil sticking to her fur, it must be what it felt like being underground to Mister Bunny. Truthfully, Twistedkit knew she was not yet meant to be outside - mind you, not because of age! She was not little anymore. They just liked her inside the den. But the den was far too stuffy, the outside was far more interesting. It's where she saw Mister Bunny, running about (a figment of her imagination, much like the bugs, if you will, but to her all too real. Always there. Always watching; a comfort in the unfamiliarity).
Twistedkit blinked. Twistedkit. What a name! Not Scrap, not Twisty - but Twisted. She liked her name. But she was hungry, now, so Twistedkit ought to find a competent member of the clan and request some food. Oh gee, who shall be her victim today? One who looked upon her with scorn - one she didn't know? Twistedkit giggled to herself, pushing herself to her paws, bits of soil falling to the ground. With ruffled fur, the kitten rushed through the clearing upon light paws, a smile plastered across the multi-coloured feline's face as she found her victim. A paw lifted intent on poking the feline for attention, before it lifted to rest in front of her maw and lower down. "Hungry."
She tried to sign, head tilted.

She and her sister had returned from the hunting trip, and Hawkcatcher now trotted through the clearing to drop off their catches. Amber gaze glided over the camp, as per usual taking in what was happening to see if there was something that needed to be taken care of, but everything seemed calm for now. Just a few apprentices were running around, and a kit was playing in the dust, but nothing she needed to step in about.
The bird and rodents dropped from her jaws onto the freshkill pile, and after a moment of inspecting it she turned over a few pieces of prey so that the slightly more stale ones were on top. They needed to be eaten first before they would start going bad, but Hawkcatcher had noticed that many of her clanmates didn't really bother checking before grabbing something to eat, so placing the older catches on top had become part of her routine.
She hadn't noticed the small fluffball approaching her, but a tattered ear twitched slightly and she glanced down as it poked against her leg. "...what is it?" She had expected a verbal reply but was instead answered by some sort of signalling. Well, her rough appreance often times kept kits away, so if this one was here it likely wasn't because of Hawkcatcher specifically, but because of the location. Carefully the massive warrior hooked a claw of a fresh robin and placed it down in front of the kit. "Was this what you wanted?"

Another day in the clearing, another cat yelling about something or other. A sigh lead to a grumble, as Breezepool was rudely awaken from his nap. A good nap at that. He had been dreaming he was within the canopy of a giant forrest, jumping effortlessly from one tree to another, and there was- there was.. stars damn it, he cant remember now. This better've been for something actually important, or some idiot was going to go pelt-less tonight.
Getting, drowsily, to his paws, a name caused his ears to prick up. Willowfrost? His sister? Immediately Breezepools green eyes darted about the clearing, before landing on a familiar pair of pelts. Now that woke him up. A brisk walk turned into a swift trot, as he rushed to join his littermates. "Where have you been??" his voice was sharp but laced with concern, and after a sigh of relief he added, in a calmer tone "I'm glad youre back, but you really cant be doing this, I was honestly starting to think you were dead or somethin." with a gentle-ish nock of his paw against the back of her head.
Larkswoop nodded to her apprentices, Falconpaw and Ravenpaw. "Practice some of your hunting moves by the camp entrance. I'll be there after I've eaten."
She dismissed the two cats with a wave of her tail before beckoning her sister, Willowfrost, over to her. "Where in StarClan's name have you been?" The she-cat demanded. "A moon, Willowfrost, and no sign of you. Do you understand that Crowtalon and I searched the camp and the territory all over for you?" She pressed her muzzle to the top of her littermate's head.
Larkswoop swung her head around to glare at her mate, Finchswoop. "And you? You had me worried sick, you daft furball. Now, come here and let me clean those wounds."

Waking with a start at the sound of her sister's voice, Willowfrost groggily rose to her paws and padded over towards her. She hung her head in shame as Larkswoop scolded her, paws scuffing the ground like a pouting kit. Her pelt started to prickle as she heard yet another familiar voice coming towards them and felt a paw lightly knock her head. "I was chased out by a pair of foxes, I'll have you know! Not just one, but two!" She snapped at Breezpool and Larkswoop, scar on her side still clearly visible despite the patches of fur growing back. But yet, as soon as she snapped, guilt immediately overcame her as she went back to hanging her head in shame. It wasn't like her to be anything but soft-spoken, but her time away had instilled a new fear in her that she was having trouble overcoming. "I'm sorry, okay? It won't happen again." She grumbled with a gentle headbutt of affection to each of her siblings. "Where is Crowtalon?"
( @isla - would you remind me who all the siblings are again? or is this all of them (including crow) ? | @Apollo. - sounds good !! )

Sunnystreak nodded at Halfpaw, glancing at Finbranch to see if he agreed. "I think that would be just fine." He meowed in response. "I don't have an apprentice of my own, so it would be easy to put it together. Do you think your mentor would mind?" He didn't really want to step on the toes of another warrior, but he didn't know if Halfpaw's mentor was actively paying attention to him if the young cat was alone with these feelings. Any good mentor would be mindful of the struggles their apprentice was experiencing and try to help them. "If not, Finbranch and I would be more than willing to put together a patrol." He looked at Finbranch as he spoke, hoping the tom would agree.
"If there are any other clanmates you want to invite on the patrol, you can ask them too." He added, thoughtfully avoiding the word "friend". With what he could understand from Halfpaw, he could only guess that the word might be triggering for him. And he didn't want to make him feel anymore alone than he already felt.
Finbranch stood in front of the pair, listening to Halfpaws response. The apprentice was clearly shy. That didnt bother Finbranch much, so long as he was still able to have fun with them. The day was fine and bright, and there was no use in wasting it in camp. Finbranch brightened at Sunnystreaks mention of looking after Halfpaw.
"I am a new warrior, but if im ever to become a great leader I must learn to lead the youth!"
Of course, Finbranch had always dreamt of being a warrior to look up to. And though this was nothing but a day patrol, he would technically be able to tell the younger tom what to do. The thought of this made him feel fiery and proud.
"Alright, lets get going then! im sure we will still have to ask an older warrior to lead the patrol though, but I have no doubts they will be willing. Its such a fine day after all! An extra patrol wont hurt" Finbranch knew that young warriors pestering their older counterparts for adventure was something he had been scolded for in the past, but he was a true warrior now, warrior name and all! His eyes searched the crowded camp for a cat who looked like they had nothing to do.
(//after we get a patrol lead we can set it up on the patrol menu right? im new to this lol//)

Alpinepaw quickly looked around to see if there were any other cats watching her. Apparently not. She stood there for a few minutes before dashing off to a tree on the other side of the Clearing. Alpinepaw skidded and fell over, landing next to the tree.
Beetlepaw stood there for a moment before letting out a smirk, followed by a fit of laughter. "Was that really your best shot at running?" the dark tabby she-cat cackled, "Well, Its a good thing you aren't a Windclan cat."
"Nope." Alpinepaw said as she got up. She got a bit bruised from falling. Alpinepaw looked closely at Beetlepaw before realizing that she was the cat who was watching her. The young cat wondered why did Beetlepaw watch her.
"You were prodding at the freshkill pile right? Why don't you go and refill it?" she mewed, "But then, you would probably fall over trying to catch it, like you did just then." the she-cat added, smirking.
Alpinepaw tensed up her body and gave no reaction to Beetlepaw's statement. She knew that she had good balance, but their statement made her think that she could fall more often. Alpinepaw looked at the fresh-kill pile and thought, "I can't do anything to replenish it...There is nothing I can do to help."
