She was ready, facing her apprentice and waiting for the younger she-cat to come at her. What she wasn't ready for was the speed with which Cobs ran. Her eyes widened a bit at it, wondering if she had been working on her endurance in secret. Regardless it made her heart beat with hope that perhaps maybe Cobs would be just fine as a warrior after all.

Between this surprise and the juke of Cobs move catching her off guard, Dusklion felt her apprentice's paws latch onto her and bring her to the ground. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good enough to pass for battling an enemy cat. Getting back to her paws she eyed Cobs, shaking her head. "Don't sit in disappointment; try again. Keep your chin up." There would be time later to think over how things could've gone better; for now the deputy wanted to keep the 'paw working so that they could improve instead of wallow - at least for right now.

The warrior treaded into the marsh, paws already getting muddy. A smile was cracked on her face as she begun to spark and crackle into the unsuspecting air around her. One day, she would use this power to destroy something other trees and other cats a clan perhaps. She never forgot what she did to that cat. Watching them sizzle and die. Yikes!!! Thunderchaser had NO intention of using her power for good.

This had set herself apart from the other clan members. No one could do what she could. No one could create lightning out of thin air, this already proved she was the chosen one. Starclan gave her this opportunity to become what she had become. If someone dared challenge her, they would meet the same fate as frostypaw or even worse like the cat she killed on the border moons ago.

Stepping into the body of water she erupted with energy as lightning charged the water, killing anything that had so happened be alive in the water. She watched as a few frogs and tadpoles floated to the top. Oof. Stepping outside the water she calmed down and the remaining bolts scattered into thin air. These results would leave her with some very good information.

cobwebpaw nodded, heaving herself to her feet and dipping her head determinedly. ' right. i got this. i'm cool. i know things. i literally learned like. eighty herbs. i can learn how to whack a cat real hard. ' she grumbled under her breath, fur prickling. rearing back again, cobwebpaw resisted a smile at the sight of dusk, her strong, cool mentor, being knocked to her feet by her.

cobwebpaw tilted her chin up, then ran at dusks. this time, she managed to hit dusk's shoulder, bringing her down as hard as possible. she popped to her feet, huffing proudly. ' YES! I DID IT!! ' she crowed, jumping up and down. ' HAH! WOO. yes. yes. was that good? did i do good? ' cobwebpaw cocked her head minutely, looking at her mentor with a proud grin on her face.

The deputy's maw upturned into a grin as Cobs seemed to gather more confidence. Eighty herbs?? That was news to her and there was a clear mixture of surprise and pride in her eyes. That would be something to notate later.

The next move was dealt as if it was by a warrior. Dusklion's eyes widened in surprise as Cobs hit her shoulder, sending her down to the ground. She had to scramble a bit to get back onto her paws, laughter coming from her. "That's it! In a real battle, you would've had time to deal some serious blows. Good job, kid." She gave a shake of her pelt. They'd been out here at the border practicing for a bit now, and Dusk could feel a bit of hunger settling into her stomach.

"Let's head back now, we can practice more on the way back, but I'm about ready to sink my teeth into a fish or somethin'," the deputy joked as she gently bumped Cobs with her shoulder.
