Tallfern perked her tufted ears, eyes rounded in surprise. She was a relatively young warrior, and had never trained an apprentice, but she felt the warmth of pride swell in her chest. Ghosttail grunted and cursed under his breath. When would she learn to get over it, that hognose? He went over to his new apprentice and touched noses with him. "We'll hunt when I say. We'll fight when I say. You'll leave camp when I say." He meowed. This was going to be a long couple of moons.

Iciclekit watched her leader through narrowed eyes, judging the huge she-cat carefully. The large kit twitched her whiskers, and sniffed the air. There seemed to be a fair amount of cats, all with anticipation and excitement. That emotion was coming especially from the new mentors and the new apprentices. But of course they were excited - they got to know each other more, and blah blah blah apprentices.

Iciclekit, personally, wasn't all too excited - she just wanted to become an apprentice, be a warrior, advance to deputy, then rule her Clan. It was the perfect plan. Act stupid and be obedient, only to overthrow all who opposed her. Iciclekit would be mentored by Dawnstar personally, following the leader around and watching her every move. Getting to know her, getting close, so she could defeat the leader one day. Nothing could stop her. Nothing could get in her way.

She.. Got an apprentice? Out of all cats, she was chosen to finish Brackenpaw's training? Nightshiver almost couldn't believe it. She wasn't even sure she herself was good enough to be a warrior, let alone teach an apprentice! The young molly felt a surge of nervousness creep up, but didn't miss the clear scowl she was given by the leader. It almost felt like test, but that likely just her worries speaking. Although either way, she couldn't mess this up.
The white furred warrior instinctively gave a small nod, then took a quick glance around the crowd of cats. It was fairly easy for her to spot Brackenpaw, and so she carefully approached her new and very first apprentice. It was a bit.. Scary, but she'd try the best she could to teach the apprentice properly. Offering a small smile in greeting, Nightshiver spoke with her usual stuttery but soft voice "w-we'll he-ad out once the me-et-ing is o-over a-and see how f...far yo-ou are wi-with t-trai-training" Hopefully.. She and Brackenpaw could get along, that would make everything a lot easier for both of them.

"I'm su-sure yo-ou wo-on't" Nightshiver replied, looking at her apprentice and leaning down just a bit to touch noses. Perhaps it wasn't to surprising, but this reminded her of the time she had spend with her mentor, Stormlily. Sometimes Nightshiver still wondered how the later was doing, as she hadn't seen her around in a while. But she couldn't blame her, not after everything that happened in past moons.

"thank yo-ou" Nightshiver meowed and sat down, wrapping her tail tightly over her paws as she always did. "I'm g-gla-glad yo-ou are" she smiled softly at Brackenpaw's comment. but worry hadn't left her.
