“Great starclan no! Your my sister!” Silverfeather said in disgust. “As for Fallenstar..I’m sure he’s fine but no and Heatherfur..really? The medicine cat? Again no.” She looked at her sister with fake shock. “No...though I did meet a tom..who isn’t a in Riverclan.” She admitted quietly.

She stared at her sister, now realizing she didn't mean it in that way. "What kind of meet? The slice and run kind? Or the "GET OFF MY LAWN!!" type?"

Silver looked at her sister blankly. “No...he’s a shadowclan warrior.” She leaned closer to her sister, making sure she’s the only one who can hear her next words. “Darkheart from Shadowclan..and I might love him.” She confessed.

Nightsong stood stiff-legged at the name 'ShadowClan'. "One of those fox-hearts?" She stood deep in thought, thinking if this tom was actually nice. She put on a manly, fatherly tone. "No. I forebid it." She meowed dryly.

Heatherfur sat quietly as Daydream continued to speak. It was clear for her to see the anguish they had faced in such a short period of time. All the death and despair of those closest to them either dying to disappearing without a trace. The pain was so clearly written all over their appearance, and she had expected them to at least accept the prey, but it sat there, untouched. Slowly, the ears on Heatherfur's head began to flatten, and she was about getting fed up this Daydream's refusal for any help. She would never hurt them physically, but if they wanted to be rude and talk back, then two could play at that game. Perhaps they got away with talking to others like this, but Heatherfur wouldn't allow it. Grieving or not, they needed to understand that not all cats that sought to help them wouldn't just vanish. Especially Heatherfur - who had no where else to go but stay in RiverClan. Plus, even if she tried to leave, she was sure StarClan would stop that from happening. After all, they had led her here in the first place. "I understand you're grieving, and I know the darkness you must be facing with Juniperpaw now disappearing," Heatherfur spoke slowly, locking her pale green eyes with Daydream's own, her gaze not wavering. "At some point though, you need to learn to let go and realize that you should probably hold onto the cats who are still here, trying to help you. I'm sure the cats who have passed away who were trying to help would would not want to see you join them because you refused to do the one thing they asked you to while they were alive." It wasn't that Heatherfur was upset with Daydream. It was more like she was talking to her younger self. Snap out of it! she thought, as her eyes glazed over. In front of her was no longer Daydream. Instead it was her younger self, shuddering with pain in a desolate corner of WindClan's camp. Anger stabbed at her and the medicine cat turned away, breaking her eye contact with Daydream. Everything came back, and after a brief moment the tabby regained her composure. "I have to keep looking for herbs and get back to healing my Clan. You're welcome to go to Fallenstar and ask to look for Juniperpaw. He might send out a patrol if it comes from you," Heatherfur mewed, though her tone was clipped. Daydream seemed to bring out a side of her that was different - one that wanted to change the past, change it so that they didn't feel so alone, like she had as an apprentice. She looked back up at them, masking the painful memory with a blank stare as she watched them. She wouldn't escort them out if they didn't want to leave, nor would she alert the Clan to their prescense. In fact, she felt as though she needed a breather too - too many painful memories were bubbling to the surface the more she learned about the ShadowClan medicine cat's pain.

they turned to leave by stopped in their tracks. her words sounded like something geckoleaf wouldve told them. she wouldve told them that they had something to live for, that there were cats around them that cared who were still alive. their ears perked aswell, the only sign that they had actually listened to what she said. they knew they should let go, to get over everything. they wanted to get angry, they wanted to snap again at her for what she said. how dare she tell them what to do so easily, as if she knew them, their life story. she didnt know anything, not even the tiniest detail. but she didnt need to know their life story for her advice to be valid. they should let go, they know they should. but it was hard. it was hard to take a fresh breath in when you knew others that didnt anymore, it was hard to walk with the legs that had held geckoleaf when she passed away. it was hard to hear the trickling of water when they once had their lungs filled with water and was dying on riverclans floor. it was hard. "I have someone to speak to before i go," they mewed quietly, their voice not agressive anymore, instead a soft, monotone tone. emotionless. they needed to speak with mistfall, was it? the same molly geckoleaf had told them about on her death bed. she wanted daydream to tell her what happened, and that she truely loved her. it was geckoleafs last wish..it was the least they could do. but heatherfurs words came back into their head, the only reason they listened was because it had struck a chord. they didnt feel as angry as before. nothing was healed by anymeans, but her words had stirred something in their mind. "Its hard to go herb hunting for herbs you dont know," they stated bluntly, knowing her lack of knowledge from being a warrior,"ill teach you someday." they couldnt believe the words had come out of their mouth. were they really willing to teach juniperpaws replacement? they didnt know, but they had said it before thinking, and now theyd have to follow up on their actions sooner or later. after all, surgestorm had an apprentice now too, and so did daydream, and caliapaw was still and apprentice, and shinefang was just now getting his fullname. they were the second eldest medicine cat, and without their knowledge riverclan would be left defenseless. they started to walk away, their pawsteps feeling heavy as they grew closer to the clearing.

At first, the tabby thought that her words had just gone in one ear and out the other, and Heatherfur opened her mouth to repeat herself before she caught a glimpse of acknowledgement from their ear movement. Either they had heard her, or actually listened, as there was a big difference between the two, though Heatherfur thought it best to not push her luck. Finally, Daydream had dropped the aggressive, grieving tone - to one void of emotion, but still it was a welcomed changed. She let her fur fall and gave her chest fur a few swift licks in more of a way to calm herself than anything. At their comment of not knowing herbs, a twinge of frustration settled into the nook of her spine. "Well, I can't sit in that den anymore and pray to StarClan that I only have to treat scratches the rest of my days, now can I?" Usually she wasn't this short but the tedious task of learning all the herbs was beginning to grow tiresome and frustrating, especially with her work being corrected by those much younger. Heatherfur had spoken before Daydream had gotten the chance to finish however, and heat rushed to her ears as she realized they were leading up to offering their own expertise. It wasn't the first idea she would've thought of for her training - she figured since StarClan got her into this mess, they would at least help her learn what exactly she was suppose to do - but so far her dreams had been just black darkness, ending with her awaking the next morning still with no clue as to what she was doing as RiverClan's medicine cat. "...Thanks. I'd appreciate that," she said, keeping her tone a bit cautious as though she expected them to withdraw it at any time. As Daydream had spoken earlier of needing to speak to someone, she figured she'd be no help at that - Heatherfur was just now starting to learn all the cats in RiverClan, and really only knew Fallenstar and Rowanflower by name. "I can escort you to RiverClan. Not that I don't trust that you can do it on your own, but -" she cut herself off to swoop up the still untouched water vole that neither of them had claimed. "This should get back to RiverClan if you're going to pass on it," she finished, mumbling around a mouthful of fur as she fell into step beside the ShadowClan medicine cat, her gaze trained on the camp that lay ahead.

Nightsong stared at her, confused. "But. . . isn't your mate in this clan? I thought you were having an affair! Where are these juicy details failing me?!" She sat down, ears now flattened against her fur. "Just. . . don't get eaten by a shark while you're gone, alright?"
