Croaking Swamp

Fogkit whimpers and freezes. Stay still. Stay still. Stay still. Even his tail has seized up, sticking straight out.

As this strange cat reaches out, Fogkit’s mind goes wild. Are they going to eat him? Or are they good guys? Well, he knows he can’t get down on his own… so… he lets them.

Starrylight swiftly snagged the kitten, hopping down extra carefully from branch to branch then placing the kit on the ground softly.

``Alright now, I'm going to take you to Dawnstar, the leader, once she knows I'll take you back home too..`` She paused a moment sniffing the kit ``Riverclan, by the way, could you tell me your name dear?

Fogkit, squeaks at every impact when they hop on the branches.

“I-I’m.. I’m Fogkit…” he says with a voice shaking along with his small body. The bloody slash in his side from the bird thrums with pain.

Then, he pauses. “Who are you?” Fogkit asks, unsure if he should trust this strange cat. “And what clan are you in?”

Starrylight smiled, ``My name is Starrylight, I'm from Shadowclan- Now don't get scared. We aren't actually evil cats like in those fairy tales! Most of us are pretty nice! Don't be scared, I'll have to drop you off at the medicine cat's den first though, that scrape looks bad, `` She meowed.

She looked up at the sun, which was now beginning to set, ``tsk, you might have to stay the night ``She meowed, ``But we'll see, I promise by tomorrow night you'll be telling your friends you went to a different clan `` She winked. ``Anyway, do you think you can walk or should I carry you? ``

Fogkit squeaks. Shadowclan? Aren’t they… but this nice warrior saved him from the tree… Well, now he isn’t sure what to think. “Is the medicine cat nice?” He asks, ears lowered in fear. He doesn’t want to stay the night with an evil- er, mean cat.

Fogkit then nods, and says, “I don’t need help.” He takes a step and immediately sinks into some mud. With a yowl, he yanks himself out of the ground. What is this stuff?! Dark water?! Now his previously white fur on his leg and chest is caked in mud.

“Ok, maybe I need help,” he admits quietly, staring up at Starrylight while shuffling his paws.

Not wanting to be like most cats Thrushbriar found herself walking through Croaking swamp to do some hunting for her clan. Leafbare was most likely to be harsh, so her clan needed as much to eat as she could.

Stagskull

Stagskull trudged forward into Croakingswamp, her tail lashing as she shook snow out of her fur. 'Might find a toad. Maybe a fish if I'm lucky.' The molly though as she looked around the area.
