I never got a good look at them, but...” he flattened his ears, recalling the haunting experience. “I swear I could hear my uncle, Coldpath’s voice...but he’s been dead as long as my father has, and...that was definitely not StarClan.” He shook his head, offering her a weak grin, “Weird, right? I probably just...ate a strange rabbit yesterday or something.”

Sagebrook flicked her tail in uneasy agreement. " Probably so," she mewed, but something about the dream seemed... off to her. " Well," she added, standing and stretching, " If you hear any more ghostly uncles, tell me." She forced a smile. " I can't say I've ever had the opportunity." As she observed the sunlight streaming into the den, she remembered something. " I was thinking yesterday that it might be interesting to hunt in the tunnels. Would you like to come try it out with me?" She twitched her ear playfully. " I wouldn't want to be alone if more strange rabbits bring along dead uncles." It would be nice to try a new form of hunting, and she'd only explored the tunnels a few times before. With a small snort, she recalled how Crowpaw, the apprentice, had held some crazed competition a while back. She wasn't really one to participate in those sorts of things, but she couldn't deny it had sounded fun.

Re: WindClan Clearing
What did he want to do? That was a very open question. He didn't know that many things to do, but he did know one thing he liked to do. He liked to EAT! Because food tasted so good! And he hadn't done that yet today, so now might be a good time to do it! And he could show see if his favorite thing was in the pile this time. It hadn't been for a couple days, and it was probably just as well because when it was he ate a mouse half as big as him and was full for the next day. Those were the days the nursery got some peace from his zipping around. He was distracted by the mention of stupid things. He knew what stupid was. It was what grumpy queens called zipping around. He couldn't quite imagine why Breezefeather would be being nasty to one of the warriors in the clan. But his father knew a lot more than he did, so he wasn't going to argue. But what did he want to do? Oh yeah! Eat! Not even saying anything, she scrambled to his feet and loped to the fresh-kill pile, noting with pleasure that a mouse was indeed buried under a pair of rabbits. Squirming in to grab it, he pranced back to his dad with a purr. Let's eat! I love mice, but a whole one makes me so so full! Maybe you could help me? Before plopping down the prey, oblivious to any reactions his father might have. @ Arie

Even if Deadpaw disliked her own mother, she loved Whitetuft no matter what the black-and-white she-cat thought of her. “My own mother was a great warrior,” she murmured, surprised by the sadness that came into her voice. The worry. “But she couldn’t deal with a deformed kit. She had wanted everything to be perfect, but she just didn’t know how to handle something that wasn’t... normal. It was me, not her.” Ashfeather paused for a moment, then added, “She was a great hunter and a lot of cats thought that she’d be deputy. And serious and strict, but a good teacher. A valued warrior who I messed up.” She paused. Deadpaw wouldn’t understand since her mother had been the perfect example of a terrible cat. It’s a good thing that Deadpaw doesn’t take after Rosebriar, she thought.

She was surprised by Ashfeather's passiveness and acceptance of the fact that she was the one who messed up, which was just not true. Or at least, Deadpaw refused to believe that it was true in any way. A bit of a derisive snort escaping her muzzle, she huffed Hey, you didn't want to be different. I didn't want to either. If our mothers can't deal with that, that's their problem, isn't it? At least she thought it was. She was glad her mother was gone, and would have loved to have been the one to boot her out, but maybe Ashfeather was a bit nicer. A bit reluctantly, she had to admit that her brother wasn't all that bad. I mean, did your mother ever give you a chance to prove yourself, a way back in? My mother, and my sister, never did that. I wouldn't kick my brother off a cliff. He didn't accept that I would be less useful, but he accepted that I didn't want to be this way and could be useful if I worked hard. She didn't want babied, she wanted to prove herself and THEN be accepted.

Re: WindClan Territory
[ open! <3 ]
Falconspirit had been wandering around the territory for at least an hour.
He was bored.
Of everything.
Even the birds seemed too familiar, as if they fell into an endless routine. He sighed, and quickened his speed, away from the loud melody. The moor seemed to sway, and he sighed. Again. The only way to get air out without it seeming too... well, great! He had sighed too much! And thought too much! Now the two things he couldn’t POSSIBLY be bored of were boring!
“Life’s an endless routine, ain’t it?”
He turned to watch a rabbit scurry past him, it’s pace quickening as it passed by the large time. Falconspirit crouched to run after it, before abruptly pausing. Wouldn’t it be too ordinary? A normal Windclan warrior chasing a rabbit! Ugh! The routine followed him everywhere.
“....”
He frowned, and sat on his haunches. The air was thick with fog, and the sun was practically hidden behind the dense mist. Something unfamiliar? He didn’t know. Routine, routine, boredom. Everything was boring to him! But what about everyone else? He sighed, yet again, nothing made sense. Falconspirit flattened his ears. This was it. This was what life as going to be for him, from now on.

She purred pleased the queen was awake with her. She could do things, what things she didn't know but something!
Climbing closer to Echowind Rainkit sat down to think. "Oh, there are bunches of things we could do! Lots of fun stuff and exciting things!" The black kitten exclaimed. She really didn't know what she wanted to do, maybe more then one thing? Oh, it was hard to pick things when your head was tired... Why was that? It didn't make much sense to Rainkit. "Um... Can you tell me a story? Like what are Coyotes and did ShadowClan really help WindClan when they attacked us? The new ShadowClan guy spy, told me that they did but I don't know if he was telling the truth. Also what are the other Clans like?' Rainkit asked, her mind somehow getting on the topics of the Clans and her conversation last meeting. She was pretty curious about that stuff, she did have to know it to be the best warrior in WindClan, right?
|
Echowind smiled as the kit went on. "A story, hm?" She scooted over, making room for the kit. "Sit, little one." She listened to the kit talk carefully.
"Coyotes are big creatures. Kinda like dogs, in a way, I guess." And then she had to bring ShadowClan in. First of all, since when was there a ShadowClan cat here? Was she really that antisocial?? Sure, she barely listened at Clan meetings, and yes, she rarely listened to anybody. But still! She decided to just ignore the ShadowClan kit. "Well, RiverClan is lead by a cat whose barely cut out to be leader, but still better then Lionstorm. They're okay, I guess, they've helped us. ThunderClan are boring, and ShadowClan absolutely suck and deserve to die." Most accurate summary Echowind had ever made.

Re: WindClan - Joining or Rejoining
Lionkit gazed up at all the cats “is this it... am I,... could it be...I’m home...” most cats didn’t recognize him as his eye was covered with a scar and his fur with small tufts of badger fur. “Um yes you probably don’t recognize me as I look quite different a um badger attacked me but a thunder clan cat add it go away” he said “ I assume my mother isn’t here she died while kitting. anyway IT’S STLLL ME DONT YOU REMEMBER MY IF YOU DONT MY NAME IS LIONKIT!!!!!!!!!! So can I be welcomed back into the cln i know I was missing forever it’s ok of you don’t want me back...”

Re: WindClan Territory
( @ H3ARTBOUNC_3 )
Hallowstep had been tucked low in one of the small shrubs sparsely dotted across the land- the needles kept him well hidden before he sprang out, shooting across the area after the rabbit Falconspirit had missed. He killed it- quickly, mercifully, and skillfully.
He raised his neck, making eye contact with the other warrior. His amber eyes were aglow with, ironically, stoicism. Snow crumbled beneath his paws silently as he approached Falconspirit; then, he stopped, right in front of the tom, rabbit still in his mouth.
He set it down, "You missed this," he quipped- it seemed cold but his tone was light, carrying an air of playfulness. Hallowstep sat before him, ears perked and pointed towards the other.

Re: WindClan Warriors' Den
[ @Arie ]
Stag? Rushingmoor blinked bleary eyes and looked up at the younger warrior with a yawn as a rabbit suddenly smacked him in the face.
“Wha? Stagleech did you just throw a rabbit at my face?”
The toyger mix pushed himself to his paws and peered down at the dead creature with confusion, his tired mind slow to catch on. Once he figured out what was going on, though, Rushingmoor threw the younger cat a smile.
“Wow, that’s amazing, Stag! Yes, of course I’m proud of you- I always am. I can’t wait to eat it- thank you. Have you brought one to Twilightstar? I’m sure she’ll be proud.”

Sparkfrost chuckled softly in amusement, pushing the details of the haunting vision aside, “Yeah, that sounds fun! I’ve never really spent much time down there, but I should probably familiarize myself with the tunnels.” He agreed. He stood and stretched, yawning broadly. He stepped out into the sunlight, the wintry sun bathing his glossy pelt as he surveyed the camp with bleary cyan eyes.
