Deadmoon was disappointed by the flowers on offer in Sunset Grove. There were no fresh blossoms to be found, not even a dandelion. A few dead stalks had fluffy tufts still clinging to them, but that meant little to her. She needed a proper flower. Three of them. And there were none to be found. It would be horribly disrespectful to bring anything but the best for the three cats laid to rest in the Starry Meadow, and so Deadmoon momentarily disregarded her apprentice in search of a token to offer. Perhaps there was a dried flower that still retained some beauty? That might be suitable.
Yes, yes, there one was. A dried, shriveled bit of marigold, with a decent number of petals left on its head. A pair of buttercups too, yes, these would be sufficient. Realizing that she'd been neglecting Mistypaw, Deadmoon got her act back together. Sunset grove. Another good spot for herbs and hunting. We're going to Starry Meadow next. Where......where dead clanmates are buried. A bit somber and whatnot. The flower are, for, uh....the cats I know. Knew. Know. She still knew them, or at least she chose to believe she did. They were in Starclan, they still existed in some form. Deadmoon knew them. And she was bringing flowers, two buttercups and a droopy marigold, for the cats she knew. Turning, she made her way in the direction of Starry Meadow.

Mistypaw lowered her ears at the sound of dead clanmates. She lowered her head slowly and helped her mentor pick the flowers.
Though she didn't hold the top mark anymore, the warrior still relished in her clanmate's praise. Her tail proudly twirled around behind her, and a bright, toothy grin stuck out against the black of her head.
"You know you're free to give it a shot too. Even if you miss you'll still get a nice mark above the rest," She pointed out, tapping a bare spot below her mark and above the scratched up bark. It would add some much needed variation to such a notable tree.
Sixfoot copied Gourdsun's stretch and rolled her shoulders to stop them from freezing up, casually cocking a brow at her question.
"Not sure..." she raised her head and opened her maw, letting the icy air flow through her mouth (rolled a 3). "...but I'm not smelling anything yet. Should we go down a bit further?" The warrior knew there was a small stream further ahead, and a few more scattered trees. Perhaps the prey was closer to the water, since there would still be grasses and herbs growing near it.
( @Peril our rolls are not looking good so far lol)

Her eyes passed over the tree roots as she hunkered down nearly on her belly to try and see any hiding spots better. She wasn't sure what to do. Her eyes were peeled for any movement... damn. Not a thing so far. (3... yikes)
"I ain't seeing anything. Let's get closer, see if anything gets scared out of somewhere." She suggested, creeping closer to where all the nice hiding spots were. Settling by a tree to watch, she huffed and shook her head a little. Ugh. Was there anything?
(Oooh a 6! Finally!)
She spotted, in the very edge of her vision, movement. Her breath caught and she made a minor motion eith her tail for silence, gesturing to the squirrel she spotted. Thank StarClan! Even if it looked a little skinny, although most any prey they'd find this time of year would be.
"O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills," ~ O Captain! My Captain!; Walt Whitman ~
Sixfoot followed after Gourdsun, keeping quiet in case there was anything that would jump out at random. But there was nothing, so they chose to wait and watch in silence. The cold was really starting to get to her bones, and they hadn't even been sitting there that long. 'Starclan, if you're listening we need a hand,' she thought to herself, 'I know it's a bit unrealistic, but if you could possibly get some prey to leap straight into either of our mouths, that would be amazing.' Her prayers remained unanswered for a while, until...
Sixfoot's black ears pricked at the sound of her clanmate moving her tail around, and she quietly followed her signal to the skinny squirrel. The warrior's pupils grew tremendously as she felt focus flow through her mind. She dropped her body down low and immediately slunk further to the side (rolled a 6 YES!), the squirrel remained unknowing of her presence as she slid into a small dip in the ground. This shallow slump in the ground would be enough to keep her out of sight of the prey for now, making her a good back-up for Gourdsun in case she missed. Because if this is the only prey they encountered today, they had to make sure they got it.

Her paws carried her quietly forward as her eyes stayed trained on that damned squirrel. Stars above, if she messed this up that would be so embarrassing. Especially in front of a Clanmate, especially after that wicked jump Sixfoot made.
She got within jumping distance, her body relaxing before her muscles coiled up and she was ready. She made the jump, her body was going through the air, she was behind it and it hadn't seen her yet. Her claws extended and...
(Rolled a... 6! Yeah!)
She successfully grappled the thing and bit into it quickly, the neck snapping neatly as she rested for a moment, catching her breath as she smiled at the kill. She breathed a quiet 'thank you' for the kill and picked the rodent up by its bushy tail, turning around and happily padding back to Sixfoot with silent pawsteps. She deposited the kill at her companion's paws and let out a breath.
"Got it." She announced with pride, albeit quietly.
"O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills," ~ O Captain! My Captain!; Walt Whitman ~
The scarred warrior's head peeked above the dip, as she watched Gourdsun stalk forward. It was perfect, the Squirrel hadn't even noticed her yet! One step, then another... a pause, and then-
Sixfoot popped up out of the ditch and back to her full size. It was a very clean kill, for both the warrior and the squirrel. She thanked Starclan in her mind and met Gourdsun in the middle, watching the prey drop to the ground.
"Nice work Gourdsun!" She praised, "we should catch another, while you're on such a roll!" Sixfoot immediately put her big paws to the right task, clawing at the cold dirt. She dug the hole deep enough for her clanmate to hide the prey.
