Alpinekit pranced a few meters away and laid down on her belly. Her forelimbs were outstretched and her fur was glimmering in the sunlight.

Alpinekit was starting to enjoy the warmth of the sun. She laid her head on the soft ground. Her belly was full of snake(s). The young cat looked over to Mountainkit. "This feels nice." She happily thought. "I never sunbathed like this before."

"See?" she purred, "I told you so!" She joined Alpinekit in the sun and laid with her paws outstretched. Mountainkit let out a large yawn and drank in the sun sleepily. "Now I'd never wanna get up."

The tortoiseshell kit was going to be an apprentice soon! She shuddered at the thought of being a 'paw'. She didn't know what to expect except training all day! Her breathing quickened and she told herself that she should focus on the present.
