Bella looked into her water bowl. Her face was kind of bruised and her ear was a scratched.

She had remained quite silent while the others talked,
I doubt humans would eat cats like Bella and I, She thought to herself, The mongoose doesn’t look to appetizing either.
Suddenly, there was a jingling of keys and a human in a white coat came walking into the room, his face was twisted into a sickening grin, he walked over to Flora’s cage and stared down at the cat,
“Welcome to NuFormz,” He chuckled as he unlocked the cage and slowly opened the door.
Flora dashed out, but the human kicked out his leg, barring her way, he then bent down and collared her, smiling wider.
“No no, kitty, you’re not going to act up, are you?” He pressed a button on a remote that he took out of his pocket. Flora felt an electric charge rattle down her spine and she let out a hiss as the human shoved her into a small crate and carried her out the door.

She stared up at the humans in the white coats, one of them held a syringe, she fought and fought against the restraints, but the needle was injected swiftly, she let out a yowl as the humans turned off the light.
She felt pain behind her shoulders, pain, pain, so much pain! Soon, her whole body was afire with pain and, not able to handle it all, she slipped into unconsciousness.

Where was he? Why was he here? What were they doing to him?

Husky bit at the cage trying to find a way out. There had to be a way out. He kept on biting and growling at the bars. He could bite through it, he knew he could, he knew he could... He couldn't. "Let me out! Now!" He kept on barking and barking.

"Oh no!" he shouted, breaking out of his daze. "We're done. We're dead. That's it. No more snake eggs. No more juicy bugs. No more-"
He was interrupted as a large dog directly in front of him got to his feet and started attacking the cage. Fred watched fascinated, until Bella, who had been silent since the human left, spoke up.
"Hey, I bet he could break out." Fred turned back to the dog. "I bet a beast like you could destroy this thing."
