{ Yeah, Forest kinda knows how to hunt... a little bit, he was taught by Fox, his former caretaker. He could use to hunt a bit better though.}

The brown maine coon watched the kit for a second before announcing, "The first part of your assessment is to test your hunting. I do not care if you like it or not. Should you refuse or fail to complete any part of the assessment, I will not continue your training - so be sure not to fail. Your test is to hunt any three pieces of prey; preferably a small mammal, a bird, and a snake, lizard, or frog. I will not help you and you will treat me with respect. As for what to do with the prey-animals you catch, frankly, I don't care. Maul them, tear them to shreds and drink the blood if you want, although I advise to bury them in case you need a snack later." At the end of his spiel, Zakien took a deep breath. That was the most he'd said in one go in ages. He would make sure to speak less next time. The rogue wasn't sure how Forest's attention span was, but he didn't want to waste his breath for nothing. Not when the kit had already shown signs of untrained impatience. With the narrowing of his eyes, Zakien began to walk away. "You have until sundown. Begin."

"Alright!" "I can hunt!" Forest mewed as he watched Zakien walk away. Forest started heading the opposite direction, looking for prey. Almost at once, he scented a vole. *Whoosh* He was swept into his memories. He found himself training to hunt with Fox. “Forest. Here’s the first lesson of hunting. Just because you’re not stalking your prey doesn’t mean they can’t hear you.” Fox snapped "O-okay... I'm s-sorry." Forest mumbled. "So how do you hunt?" “I’m going to give you some advice first. Stay downwind and be as silent as you can. The first thing I’m going to teach you is the hunter’s crouch. Keep your body and tail low but not low enough to where it brushes against the grass.” Fox mewed as she showed him. Forest missed hated those times. Fox was weak. He is stronger, and once he had completed his training, he would get his revenge. *Whoosh* He was back in the forest with the scent of vole in his nostrils. He slowly went into the hunter's crouch, following the scent of vole. He was weak back then. Now he was strong. The scent got stronger and stronger until he saw the vole. Without hesitation, he pounced. He landed on it squarely and nipped it's neck, killing it. "Yes! Two more to go." He mewed while he buried it in the Earth.

The second Forest had padded in the other direction, Zakien had shifted downwind to secretly follow the grey kitten. He watched with silent approval as the kit killed a vole, then frowned at the thing's exclamation. The main coon swiftly took a step forwards and stood directly behind Forest. "If I could hear you yell, 'yes!' then I bet all the prey in the forest could, too," he warned the kit. It was adorable, the pride, really, but he needed to beat some sense into the little kit. Then, as quickly as he'd appeared, Zakien disappeared, leaving Forest alone again.
