Claws Ready [THC Battle Training Event]

Foxpaw briefly pricked his ears when a battle training event was called, then decided not to participate, because it's not like he had any friends to partner with. He let out a little grunt, laying down in the clearing with his tail wrapped around his paws. Even if he wouldn't participate, perhaps it was good to watch the others and take note of their moves. His green hues briefly lingered on his mentor and Dawnpaw. That was Hawkcatcher's other apprentice, not? He curiously tilted his head as he watched them, waiting for the event to start when suddenly his mentor said his name.

The lanky apprentice furrowed his brows briefly, then decided not to be grumpy and join them. This would be good practice. He wanted to become one of ThunderClan's strongest, after all. "Sure, I'll join," he mewed and gave both Dawnpaw and Hawkcatcher a curt nod. No smile, or any sign for friendliness. Foxpaw liked getting things done and would not waste time messing around saying how excited he was and how glad to meet this new cat.

Dawnpaw dips her head in greeting when fox paw comes over. She was ready to get this event started. She looks between the two gathered with her. Hoping introductions would be made at some point

Sprucejumper didn't do group events. He wanted nothing to do with most cats on a good day. Felt it unnecessary to interact with the cats as long as he was providing for the clan, and provide he did. Perhaps not with pointless banter, but he was a competent hunter, and he made sure to stock up the storage with his catches on a regular basis. When it was all said and done, however... he knew his weaknesses. His folly. Didn't matter if he had managed to pass his assessment, he was fairly certain that his hunting and climbing capabilities had pushed him forward where his fighting technique had failed him.

So at the mention of a battle training event? He decided to hop right in. The Boulder had been an excellent teacher... but the former kittypet's skills were still lacking. He needed to be better. Be stronger. If he wanted to survive, this was an imperative. And who knew? Maybe he could walk over towards his former mentor and show them some cool new moves he had learned afterwards. Steal them back from Chatty the Usurper's evil clutches, hmph.

Battle training? Mallowpaw had learnt some moves from Fognettle, but she still didn't have the knowledge of a warrior, nor the experience. It would be good to join, to show Wolfhive that she could do this on her own. So Mallowpaw padded over to the group and looked up at Baybreeze.
