Sarah pulled out her Salmonsong (Samsung) phone and looked at the breaking news. The Mayor was giving a speech about predators? Wow! Equality, finally! She would never hurt any of the other animals in Zootopia. The artic fox smiled as she clicked the live stream and got ready to watch. This was a big moment in their history!

At exactly 9:00 the Thomas Fawks was to appear on screen, too bad he was arguing with his assistant,
“No, listen, this is for the good of prey everywhere! You don’t like it because you are just simply a pred lover!” Thomas said his little bunny nose twitching,
“I know what I’m doing.”
As soon as Thomas appears on the podium, the cameras start to roll,
“Fellow Zootopians, today is a day of great change, today is a day that full equality is to be added to Zootopia in a safe, harmless form, in the form of...
Taming Collars!”
All was silent in the Town Hall, not a sound,
“Yes, I know this is a surprise to all of you preds out there, but believe me, this is something that will help you gain equality! All predators are to report to the closest hospital so that the collars can be added, further news later today at 12.”

Goldie’s eyes widened,
“No!” She yelled,”NO! I WILL NOT HAVE MY FREEDOM TAKEN AWAY FROM ME! NOOOOO!” Her yells carried down the hall, but she didn’t care, her very freedom was at stake here!

Iris would gasp, she couldn’t believe the mayor would do that!
Collars? Why?!? No!!

Sarah watched the screen with interest until she heard "taming collars". What? Why? She thought that they were supposed to be equal! Now she would have to walk around with a big old collar? What would it even do? Tame her? What did that even mean? No way she was going through with this. She wanted to live her own life, free from the government.
She would not go and get the collar, no matter what.

The Mayor said one last thing before the news switched to the reporters,
“If you do not show up, we will know and the police will show up at your door to arrest, and manually put on the collar, there is no escape from this preds of Zootopia, this is for equality, this is for safety, this is for peace.”

Outside of the Town Hall, animals were already protesting, but one by one they were arrested and given taming collars, they animals fought to get them off, but the collars were permanently stuck unless the authorities chose to take them off, the worst thing about the collars was, if a predator were to get too angry or excited, they would receive a shock depending on the level of excitement or anger.

After hearing the last announcement by the Mayor, Goldie sighed and walked out her door, there was no escape from this, none, she might as well get this over with, then maybe she could finally be equal, that was what she wanted... right?
The hospital was crowded with preds, each looking terrified, indifferent, or some, happy! Goldie was one of the indifferent ones, she accepted her fate with no argument, and when the doctor clasped the collar around her neck, only then did she retaliate, she received a level three shock, realizing, it was already too late.

Lizz would be sleeping on her perch, she never watched the news.
Besides, it wasn’t directed at her!

Iris would whimper. I- I don’t have a choice?
She’d bury herself under her pillow, hiding from the world

Three hours later she went to the hospital, she’d duck down multiple times,
She didn’t want it on her!! Finally the doctor got it on her.
She’d let out a harsh yelp. These things are horrid!

It was 12, time for the Mayor’s second announcement, predators with their new taming collars tuned in to see if this was just some cruel joke,
“Hello Zootopians! and preds. I’m sure some of you are frustrated about these new collars, so, to make this better, I am making a law that states, All Preds mustn’t be out of their homes past 11pm, if seen out of their homes after that time they will be arrested! Welp, time for my daily tea-time! Toodles!” Thomas smiled as he said this, this was the day he had been dreaming of since he was a boy, and it was finally here.
