Oh joy. Now Snakepaw was asking. The depressed rat could go shove his nose in someone else's face, he decided. "Snakepaw, would you like to go away?" Some anger was leaking into Larkpaw's voice with the last two words. @Kipo Oak

"No." he said flatly. He wanted to be partnered with his brother. Then again, how many training lessons did Larkpaw have? Snakepaw has had three.

Larkpaw could see that Snakepaw wasn't going anywhere. "Fine." He turned his head forwards again. He didn't want to run into a tree again, like he did when he was with Foxpaw on their little adventure. @Kipo Oak

A bit perplexed by the hostility he was met with, Shrewpaw mewed You're smarter than some then. Other apprentices had all sorts of strange notions about how becoming a warrior worked. Moving closer to the deputy, so Finchwhisker could see they were ready to go, he snuck one more look at his discontented partner.

Larkpaw ignored Frecklepaw. He already had a partner by now (sowwy feather lily) and didn't want to listen to him. @feather lily

Marigoldpaw confidently moved around the clearing like place. She had already unsheathed her claws and her eyes glinted promising pain to her opponent. She was here to win not play. Though this would be fun! The golden she cat brushed past Shrewpaw completely ignoring him, she did the same with her brother Shrikepaw. Instead of looking at them her eyes were trained on a lonesome Tom that looked close-ish in size(even if Marigoldpaw was a little bigger it was probably fine!). “Hey you,” She called out as she neared him. She waited for his response before she mewed anything else.

Quailpaw's tattered ears perked up at the she-cat's call. A golden molly padded towards him; around his size, though perhaps a little larger. "It's Quailpaw," he grunted flatly, eyeing her in the shadows. "Are you looking for a partner?" He hoped she was. His paws itched with eagerness; he was ready for the fight to begin. However, the tingling in his muscles was mingled with nervousness. This was his first group training session. He'd never actually fought another apprentice before, although he had had training.
