Technically, Cowtuft didn't need to join in the event. However, he had been quite interested in getting proper battle training. He was WindClan's medicine cat but that did not mean he didn't need to defend himself. Oh, he had been proven quite a few times that wasn't the case. So, with a soft smile he padded up to join the gathered group. It was a good bonding opportunity.

Their ears turned in Fallownose's direction as he announced an opportunity for battle practice. While not a proponent of violence, Starryeyes had been caught off-guard by the state in which they'd seen Twilightstar, and knew it was the beginning of Something; Starryeyes had felt a call to action and wouldn't be leaving it unanswered. They just wanted for everyone to be safe. This would be a great chance for them to bond with their peers, too, maybe. They'd see.

Dreamlight heard the call and padded over to join the other. The warrior had yet to go visit her mother while she was recovering in the medicine den. She was hoping she could get Leechscar to come with without a fight. She wasn't looking forward to this war with RiverClan, but didn't want to sit it out either. The orange-eyed she-cat spotted her brother with his apprentice and immediately glanced around to see if Owlpaw was around as well.

The old tom yawned after hearing the cry from the deputy. Battle Training, he hasn’t been able to touch on the with Twistedpaw yet, her training was going slow. So joining even if he didn’t need it was something to do. Batglare spotted his apprentice, but chose to sit further in the back instead of going to her, wait for everything to begin.

Owlpaw padded over to the forming group. He wasn't excited about this upcoming war, but he'd do anything to help protect his clan, even if it meant being called to fight. The ebony apprentice spotted his mentor and went to go sit by her.

Mousefern heard the call and approached quietly. She wasn't a fighter herself, but at this point.. This was unavoidable. This was going to happen and she had to defend her clanmates.

Ooooh! Battle training for a possible war against RiverClan? Yes, please! Learning battle skills would be great! But... where was Lynxyowl? Asterblink had told Silentleap that she had gone out for the gathering, but, why? She was going to miss this! Plus, the gathering was probably about territorial fights and whatnot.

Silentleap padded over, his stubby tail up high. "Count me in!"

Firestorm was still basking in the afterglow of receiving her new name. This time, however, instead of marching around the camp proclaiming her greatness, she was resting not-so inconspicuously in the clearing for all to see her magnificence.

In the midst of one of her casual dozes, a loud howl startled her out of her daze. Fallownose was calling them. For what?

Ooh there was going to be a battle training event? That could be fun! Knowing that her battle training was sub-par, this could be a prime opportunity to brush up on her skills. Maybe she could impress Milknose with them? Speaking of, where was he? She hadn’t seen him in a little while.

Oh well, she’ll go hunt him down later on, now was time for fun!

Longmoor was fairly confident in her fighting abilities, but it wouldn't hurt to get some more practice in. She quickly followed after Fallownose, wondering what he had planned.

The deputy led those who had chosen to follow to a spacious area that wasn't too hilly. The plan was to pair cats up and have them practice battle moves on each other. Turning to face the group, Fallownose was pleased to see how many had decided to join.

"Thank you all for joining this event. I'll be assigning you a partner to work on the battle moves I'll be teaching for this event. I expect everyone to keep their claws sheathed. If you don't, there will be severe consequences."

The tall tom waited a moment to make sure he was understood before moving on to assign the pairs. "Starryeyes [ @hope ], you'll be paired with Fireflame [ @Spirit_life_yt ]. Leechscar [ @Undertaker ], you're with Firestorm [ @Darkclaws ]. Ashclaw [ @Spirity_life_yt ] and Goldenpaw [ @ameko ] will work together. Deadmoon [ @gs29513 ], you'll help out Littlepaw [ @Leafie ]. Owlpaw [ @Woodlow, you'll be paired up with Curlyeye [ @gs29513 ]. Ashtrail [ @silverwynds ], you get to work with Scalescar [ @Spirit_life_yt ]. Rookscreech [ @Shade. ], Crookedpaw [ @Spirit_life_yt ] will be your partner. With the pairs listed, Fallownose waited for the partners to find each other before continuing on with the event.
