GoldenKit glanced down at his paws. “I’m sorry father.” His fur ruffled. I have to do better. “Can you show me what I need to do better?” If my father teaches me then I’ll be a great warrior soon. He shuffled his paws in anticipation. His tail lightly placed beside him.

Bluemoon didn't answer. He dropped into a low crouch, claws unsheathed. Jumping forward, he attempted to land his pounce at Goldenkit. He really wanted to shred this kit to bits! Show him? He should know how!

GoldenKit's eyes widened as Bluemoon lunged forward. "Dad...?" He barely managed to squeak out. His fur fluffed up. Time seemed to move slower than a snail. This isn't happening. This is just a dream. A nightmare. He didn't know what to do. His paws were frozen in place. I don't want to disappoint him! Does he want me to dodge this or... To many thoughts bumbled their way into his brain for him to decipher. At the last possible moment, his paws regained feeling. He tried to jump out of the way but to the golden kit's horror, he was a too late. His back legs took the brunt of the blow. He toppled over off balanced.

Bluemoon huffed, his claws making a small, bloody scratch on the little kit's body. He hauled himself off of Goldenkit, his eyes gleaming with approval as he mewed tightly, That's how it's done. His lips curled into the tiniest smirk as he watched blood trickle down Goldenkit's body.

GoldenKit sat stunned. He wasn't quite sure what had happened. The blood that dripped down his leg brought him back to reality. He tried to stand back on his feet, but his legs were wobbly, and he tripped a little. His thoughts were numb. The Kit's eyes turned to BlueMoon. Confusion sparked inside of him, but he didn't have the courage to get answers. Why? a twinge of pain shot through his leg and up to his heart. What was that for? Tears threatened their way into his vision. I can't cry! I'm too old to cry.

Bluemoon noticed a hint of sadness in the kit's eyes, and he wondered, why does he want to cry? He was pretty sure of the reason, but he didn't know if that was right.

GoldenKit's paws shook. "I'll try to do better next time." His wandered to his paws and he curled his tail tightly around his leg. He closed his eyes praying his tears wouldn't leak out. This was a lesson I need to do it right next time like my father. He tried to justify his father's actions every way he could. His injury stung but his heart hurt more.

Bluemoon nodded. You'd better. He grumbled, under his breath.
(I have another plot idea! When Golden is older(maybe apprentice idk), he might discover he is very strong, maybe stronger then Blue. Then, blue could tell him to strike him again, and he could hurt blue instead. He would get very angry.)

GoldenKit closed his eyes. He only wanted one word of praise from his father. Deep down he decided it would never happen. Those feelings were kept far below his heart. He was a hopeful kit. I have to show him I'll be a great warrior someday. He knew he could do it.

(That sounds good, but it could be that after he becomes a warrior like after the test or something like Bluemoon tried to hold him back. we could also do a thing were Bluemoon tries to get him to fight a dog or something.)
