eelfang sat up a little bit straighter, puffing out his chest, he would totally lead his team to victory. hopefully his team would be more or less a certain type of cat, either fast or strong, so strategy would be easier to discuss. it didnt make sense to send weak cats up against strong ones and pretend like they could succeed with the same tactics. he'd have to take a good glance at the other team too, but that would have to wait until the teams were decided. it was admittedly a bit unfair to have a unexperienced apprentice lead the second team but maybe they'd surprise him, underestimating his opponent was the last sin he would commit.

Well, Team Gold and Team Silver... Eggpaw knew which team he wanted to be on, based on the leaders. Surely a team with such an inexperienced leader as Gold's was cursed to lose from the start?
Well, he didn't think he would make a very good replacement himself, so he would perhaps keep his mouth shut.
The pale apprentice scored his claws in the ground with impatience as he waited for the battle to begin.

Willow'Paw padded over, sitting herself down about a tail length from Swan'Paw, waiting for the rest of her team to gather.
She hoped that they wouldn't need to fight somewhere muddy or wet, that would be kind of a nightmare. Or a swamp. A swamp would be the actual worst.
Taking her mind off biomes she didn't like, she scanned the cats for-....... gosh, she already forgot the rest of her team. She was saved as Swan'Paw called out for Gold Team.
