Acting for Dummies [whole clan event]

It looked like a decent crowd had shown and honestly Mudhound was willing to get started! Some cats had grouped and some had not (that was fine, it meant this was an opportunity to make a new friend!) but it looked like there was an even amount of cats so this'd work!


Deciding to skip any more awkward chatting and pairing to get on with it the hornet started assigning cats with a

First cats in the group Im gonna come around and whisper the word in your ear and you can get started acting them out immediately! Remember, no talking and if your partner sits around and do nothing you can find a new one, vanishing is just unkind to your buddy! AAaaaaand go!"


Padding around to whisper to each cat Mudhound hopped up on their perch to overlook the groups, internally keeping track of how long until they would swap and who might be the first to get it!

Brindlepaw didn't really know Nightgaze, but if Mudhoud decreed them partners so they would be. Dipping his head in a greeting once he had received his word (how in Starclan's name was he supposed to act THAT out?) he mewed a bit nervously I'll just....begin I suppose? before wracking his stupid little brain for a way to allude to the thing he was supposed to convey. They were slow and small, that was a start. Scrunching himself as small as he could (not particularly small, but it was the thought that counted) Brindlepaw began scootching across the ground, doing his best to appear both small and slow. His front paws came out and then pulled the rest of him forwards, as he made incremental progress across the clearing. @Morrigan

Cavekit walked over to Daylightwing with a smile "Hi!" He said excitedly, ready to start, but he wanted to make sure his partner was first. He started to get into a crouching pose, almost bow like and playful, starting to imitate what he was meant to.

Sniffing gently Weepingwillow padded to her partner. Wordlessly the queen layed carefully on her side. Giving a purr of amusement as she kept her hind and forepaws against each other, gently seizing them upwards and then back down a few times for pausing. Weepingwillow was clearly embarssed but didn't show it in her actions as she repeated it once more.

Twilightforest blinked. How in starclan was he supposed to act that out?? He huffed, turning to Riversong. He puffed our his thick pelt, and began hopping around. If cats could float that'd be far easier.

Ok, ok! Brindlepaw, hmm...who was that? Oh, them! Nightgaze eagerly grinned at her partner giving a small "Mhmm!" at their inquiry to begin. She watched closely as they crouched down and began...she didn't really know what it was...This was gonna be hard for sure!

Confusion obvious as she tipped her head to the side, the small she-cat thought hard to get an idea of what they were pretending to be. Slow, small, scooting across the ground...a snake? No snakes were pretty fast and they didn't really scoot...wait! She got it! "A snail!" she basically shouted out, hoping with all her being she was correct.

'Hi! I'm you're partner!'

PuddlePaw thinks for a second before flopping onto the ground, their limbs spread out and their eyes closed.

Fallingpaw went first he tried to think about how to act out his word then got it he pinned his ears back, laid on the ground, closed his eyes, and wiggled his legs around z

Amber eyes surveyed the cats who arrived as the large warrior occasionally considered a few of them as potential partners for the game, but she couldn't seem to find anyone she deemed a good enough fit. That was until one decided to make the choice for her, and Hawkcatcher turned her head to look at Drizzlecloud, dipping her head as she returned the greeting. "I am." She didn't have time to say more than that when Mudhound called again to start the game, but they seemed to have spotted Drizzlecloud and Hawkcatcher together and paired them up. So that was taken care of.

As Mudhound called out the rest of the pairs and whispering their words, Hawkcatcher took a brief moment to count how many of her clanmates had joined in, and though it wasn't as many as on some other events, she was still glad that others were participating in these things. Then she got her word (apparently she would be acting first, but so be it), and nodded to Mudhound to confirm that she had heard.

So now, acting. She considered starting with making Drizzlecloud understand that it had something to do with for example hunting or something, but she also felt like it would take too long, so instead she crouched down and took a few leaps forward, trying to hop as best she could. Then she sat down, filled her lungs with air (making sure to puff out her chest to show that), and opened her mouth, making sure not to actually make the sound but pretending to, before going back to puffing up her chest. To further try and explain the word with actions, she tried to make a few swimming motions. Now it was just to see what Drizzlecloud would guess.

Her partner was Puddlepaw. Mallowpaw didn't know the she-cat well; she just had to hope she was a good actor. The apprentice quickly flopped on the ground, and Mallowpaw tilted her head in thought. Eyes closed; that meant one of two things. She didn't think Mudhound would assign Puddlepaw the first option, so... "Sleeping?" Mallowpaw said hesitantly.
