Tord was still pressed up against Sasuke, unsure of what to say. “I’m not leaving you,” he said softly, just to help reassure Sasuke. He kept telling himself that he needed to get up, and he was ready to, but he also wasn’t. Tord nodded. Feeling a jacket wrapped around him, he used one of his hands to pull it closer to his own body. “Not...a whole bunch,” he murmured as he noticed Sasuke’s fake smile. “Don’t force yourself to smile,” he murmured after a minute, looking away, letting the jacket hold him.

Tord became quiet, not wanting to think he was the reason for all of this. Well, maybe not the reason for this, but probably why Sasuke was forcing himself to smile. As Sasuke spoke once more, he became silent. He didn’t want to do that. He would never want to do that! He grew quiet, trying not to tremble as he let the words try to sink in, trying not to cry as well.

”I love you too,” Tord murmured, smiling quietly. “Before...before what?” he asked. Though he was all for sitting down, dragging Sasuke down with him as he did so.

Tord nodded, as he didn’t really want to talk for the time being, leaning against Sasuke. He was trembling ever so slightly, but leaning against Sasuke helped calm him, just waiting. He didn’t know what he was waiting for, but he was waiting, breathing softly, as though he was sleeping.

”No, we can’t,” Tord admitted sadly, looking up for a moment, before looking back down. He clenched Sasuke’s hand the whole time, not wanting to lose him. As much as Sasuke said to end him, Tord wasn’t going to do that, he couldn’t bring himself to do that.
