Cherrykit looked around. "Um... Feather... something?" She called.

"Feathernose, little one," Feathernose mewed warmly. "Now, stay close to me, and remember what Berrybreak said. Don't eat anything."

He cast a glance over at Feathernose and Cherrykit. They seemed like a capable warrior, but worry creased his brow. He didn’t like leaving his young daughter in the paws of a stranger. What if something went wrong and he wasn’t there? Anything could happen! Would Feathernose be able to look after her? She was smart but she was so small, and she looked even smaller when contrasted to the warrior. He forced himself to sigh in resignation, however. She was just as capable as the other kits! She should get to have to unique and fun experience as well. He made himself focus on his task. Echopaw, huh? His head swerved around as he searched for the apprentice. He didn’t know them every well. Erm well he didn’t know them at all really. However, he was confident that they would have a wonderful time together! When he spotted his temporary ward he padded up to them. His tail flicked in greeting. “Hello! Are you ready to get started? Do you have a cat and gift in mind?” He said it pleasantly, with a smile on his maw. He knew exactly who and what he would be getting. A bouquet of flowers for his lovely mate Foxwillow. He couldn’t wait to see her face when he gave it to her! It was already so exciting and he hadn’t even started! Berrybreak was a genius! He made a mental note to tell them that when this was over.

The light warrior padded for the entrance tunnel. "First time out of camp?" She asked Cherrykit. She didn't think Cherrykit would have snuck out before, but you never know...

Echopaw searched for Duckfluff and noticed he was heading towards her. “Oh!” Echopaw meowed,”Hi Duckyfluff! What’s that? Oh! Who do I want to give a gift to? Maybe mom, or dad, or mister Hailhawk! But I don’t know what to give them….”

"Let's have a look around, and you tell me if anything jumps out at you," Feathernose flicked her tail and patted on, keeping her ears pricked for signs of... Anything really. They weren't going far from camp, and the weren't likely to be any predators so close. Except for birds maybe... She flicked her eyes up for signs. Light trickled through the bare branches and mist. Everything looked peaceful. A pretty feather would be ideal. An egg would be cool, but there were none of around them during leafbare. Some of the trees had some nice coloured leaves at their bases.
