Re: May Gathering [Leaders]
He gave Forestshade a reassuring smile, noticing how jumpy the feline seemed to be. While he hadn’t been scared or nervous for his first gathering as a deputy, he had been jittery. So he supposed he could understand the tom’s nerves. At least he got a no different back out of him, which Flintspirit felt was a good start.
The tomcat then turned his ears to listen to the leaders beginning to talk before answering Buttercupbreeze. He remembered being reprimanded by a certain she-cat in particular for not listening at gatherings, and he figured that the Windclan deputy would be listening as well, so she wouldn’t mind. His ears flicked as Passionstar spoke up, and the tomcat tuned into every word his leader was saying. He nodded to himself, grateful that the leader hadn’t mentioned anything about Tallmarsh and her... difficulties. He knew the leader was still feeling off about the whole situation, and Flintspirit could understand that.
He let his gaze drift over to Lionstorm as Fallenstar introduced him, not missing the look that’s the black-furred leader gave the golden tom. He couldn’t interpret the look exactly, but he could see well enough that it wasn’t exactly one of pride. Flintspirit also didn’t miss how the tom had straightened up upon seeing him out of the corners of his eyes. He’ll probably be trouble to deal with. The Thunderclan deputy just supposed he’d have to talk to the cat himself to get a better perception of his personality though. Right now all he was seeing was little parts, and Flintspirit didn’t like to judge off of things as minuscule as those.
His ears dropped slightly when hearing Grousestar’s news. He hadn’t known Auroraflame very well, but he knew she’d been a strong loyal deputy to her clan, a clan which had gone though so much trouble and trial. They had suffered a great loss from her death. He turned to Buttercupbreeze as Grousestar finished speaking, unsure if he should say anything anymore. He knew all of the previous deputies, before he’d become one, had been very close. “I’m doing well... Um..” He spoke quietly, only with enough volume for her to hear him. But he didn’t know now what to say about Auroraflame. A simple condolence didn’t seem like it wouldn’t mean anything from him. He opted for not saying anything more, turning his eyes forwards, glancing up towards Passionstar to see if he could catch his leader’s eye. Maybe that would give them both some reassurance.
