Sneezekit's head shot up. A race? A competition? A chance to prove Sneezekit's incredible Abilities? How exciting! Plus also a chance to forget about nearly almost being eaten. They were supposed to have forgotten about that by then, but maybe they just needed some extra help.

They noticed another cat a few rabbit hops away. Score! A new cat that they hadn't talked to yet! Alright, time for Sneezekit to work their usual friend-making magic! 'Cept that when they tried to walk over, their paws wouldn't work for some reason. They frowned, looking down. Move, stupid paws! That's your job! they scolded internally. And then a past warning about talking to strangers echoed in their mind. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!! Sneezekit was trying to make friends! Bad guys don't know anything! MOVE, PAWS! SNEEZEKIT COMMANDS IT!!!

Well, fine, harumph! If Sneezekit's paws wouldn't let them walk up to their new friend, they had other ways! They'd learned this little trick from Littlekit: "HELLOOOO! YOU OVER THERE! HI! I'M SNEEZEKIT! WHAT! IS! YOUR! NAME!?" they screamed, trying to reach the other cat with their voice. Hopefully, they wouldn't have any questions about why they were trying to have a conversation from halfway across camp.

Cloverkit jumped up suddenly. She turned to find.. what was their name.. Snoozekit? Sandkit? Oh. Sneezekit. Cloverkit turned fully to face them. Hey! She yowled back. I'm Cloverkit! She added.

Cloverkit batted away the apprentice's paw and stuck her tongue out at her. She walked closer to the little kit and found.. erm.. uh.. Cloverkit shook her head. Harehead! Or was it Harewhisker?
Anyway.
Cloverkit walked up to the hare cat and Sneezekit. Hi you two! She meowed, reminding herself to make a smart remark at the apprentice later.

Opossumbug looked over at the young apprentice that padded up beside him, he let a soft grin seeing the apprentice was excited, he loved to see the younger clan mates happy. "Well I don't run much! But it's worth the shot, I am pretty fast! And yes I'm opossumbug!" he said with the soft grin still stuck on his brown freckled face. "I probably wont win though, these legs are rusty!" he said jokingly.

Then he looked over at the other apprentice that also padded up to him excited as excited could get, he let a friendly tail flick from his tail. "Yes! Very exciting! Good to see y'all both excited!" he said talked to both apprentices. He still had to let it sink in that he could call rabbitpaw a tunneler apprentice anymore, he had to call rabbitpaw medicine cat apprentice now, it wouldn't take long to get used to though.

Harewhisker looked at the kit. Oh no, another cat! "Hello." Harewhisker mewed politely. She kneaded the ground anxiously.

The other cat had looked up. Okay, great! It had worked, and they'd successfully gotten the other cat's attention! And their mouth started to move, so Sneezy got ready to listen real good to whatever they said. 'Cept that even though Sneezekit was straining their ears a lot, they couldn't make out a single word. Well, if they were to have an actual conversation and become friends, that was going to have to change.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY? I COULDN'T HEAR YOU. CAN YOU TALK A LITTLE LOUDER PLEASE???" Sneezekit yowled back. They made sure to say please, 'cause apparently adults liked it when you said stuff like that.

Oh, and another kit had noticed them. "Hi, Cloverkit!" they said, a little quieter 'cause Cloverkit was a little closer than the adult. "Are you excited for the race? This is gonna be a ton of fun, I betcha."

Cloverkit narrowed her eyes at the hare cat. She just couldn't remember their name! It was either Harehead or Hareheart or Haretail or Hareface or Harejump or Harewhisker. She shook her head. Didn't you hear them? Their name is Sneezekit! She meowed smartly.
