Cody sat down at looked at her mother. "Mom, I've got to grow up sometime." The hazel tabby gave her mother's cheek a lick, and went back to his clovers.

Cody froze up, memories of his five brothers flooding over him. The small tom choked on his own saliva during his shock, and started a coughing fit. "Im- fine!" He choked out, still coughing violently.
