Willowfrost trudged behind Wolfhive with a sniff, clearly not pleased to be back out here. However, she understood it was necessary. To find Sunflowerswirl...sure. To get rid of the snake? Absolutely. The she-cat knew she should be worried about her Clanmate, but she was a tad bit bitter about the patrol still. And they didn't have any conclusive evidence anything had happened to her.
Regardless, she did as she was told and began looking for clues. Eventually, she came upon an unfamiliar scent. "Risingstorm! Over here!" She called, beckoning her Clanmate with her tail. "This scent is mixed with Sunflowerswirl's. We should follow it." Without waiting for an answer, she began trotting forward.

Brokenstream is RiverClan’s Head Lionheart - If You Need Him, Mention Me
"Great, then what I want to do is give you a more real taste of implementing some of these in a fight. We're going to spar; I'll attack first, and I want you to ward me off with the techniques we've gone over." He could do a reminder to keep things clean, but decided against it.
Wolfhive dropped to a crouch and used his backlegs to kick himself forward, lunging toward her.
Mallowpaw
104/100
A spar. Mallowpaw watched as Wolfhive dropped into a crouch; it looked like he was going to leap at her. She thought of the options he had given her for moves to use after dodging; slashing at his side wouldn't stop him with sheathed claws. Tail yanking might work, if she could get to his backside quick enough.
There was no more time to think as Wolfhive lunged at her. Mallowpaw sidestepped and stuck a paw out in front of him so he would hopefully trip. There was a chance he might leap over it, but it seemed like the best move to use. The most natural, too.
The white and tabby warrior looked around sniffing the air a slight trace of sunny was carried by the wind, his nose followed the scent and just as his head turned to the scent willowfrost called his name. the warrior hobbled over as quick as he could he opened his maw seeing blond fur tufts mixed with another more red tinted blond fur. the warrior growled darting forward " There was a struggle some fox heart took her." . Oh when he could lay his claws on whoever cat napped sunny would pay he didn't care what he did to them they would pay. he followed the scent quickly stopping to where the scent faded " Tree rats..." he snarled slashing at the dirt sniffing around not able to find her scent anymore he let out a loud angry growl that linger a sadness.
She was gone wasn't she? his heart sank in his chest, why would someone take her? she didn't deserve to be taken but why in Starclan did some fox dung rouge have to take her?...He had felt pain before God damnit he had been close to death but why did this hurt so much more? it felt as if a dog and just ripped him to shreds as hot tears grew in his eyes he wanted to sob he wanted to smell her but she was gone. he loved her so so much but he didn't even get a chance to tell her why he didn't, he just tell her? he felt so stupid he felt so bad. Risingstorm's vision grew blurry as salty tears fell down his face as he tried to breath he let out a hiccup his body shook with grief he didn't know she was dead or still alive but it still hurt so much.
He tried to stand but his legs were too shaky to even push off the ground oh Starclan why him? he lost family before he lost his mother and dovefluff but why was losing sunny so much more painful he just laid there not able to move. He was a warrior for crying out loud he felt like a kit, yet here he was sobbing on a patrol he felt alone even with willowfrost right there with him. he tried to breath but was met with another wave grief she couldn't be gone right? no she wasn't gone she couldn't be ... was this how orange blossom felt when ever he found out Springlight had died? no no sunny wasn't dead she couldn't be there was no blood not like when they found Springlight fight with the owl all he knew there was blood. even with no blood he felt like she was dead gone forever yet he didn't know he didn't know what took her or where they took her. risingstorm sat up slightly tears still flowing down his face but not as heavy, his breath was still shaky but he had calmed down " ... he opened is maw to speak but no sound came out. he tried again " L-lets-ss g-go tel-l wolfhivve..." he didn't want so say it he didn't want to say she was gone but she was she was gone.

Wolfhive knew she'd sidestep, but didn't correct his leap - in part, he wanted her to see how it'd play out successfully. In the future, he'd give her an example of it being evaded so she could prepare for it.
He stumbled over it, not quite falling but it did trip him up and delay his response. Once he had his balance back, he twisted on his paws to (lightly) aim a blow toward her face.

Wolfhive had found the snake, and was relieved to see it wasn't the same kind that killed Tawnykit. Still, to be safe he killed it and headed back to meet with the others. Their trail was easy to find - and led to the scene of disarray. Scattered tufts of fur, scuffed dirt, an upset Risingstorm. Hmmm.
"We'll find 'er, don't worry." He was a bit muffled beneath the snake in his mouth, but it didn't stop the idea from getting across. "It's goin' in the direction of the Twolegplace it seems.. let's regroup back at camp, calm you down, then we can send out a better-equipped patrol to track it."
If this was just a generic "went missing" sort of deal Wolfhive might not have bothered, but Sunflowerswirl was kidnapped. On their land. Wolfhive was going to paint the ground ready with rogue blood over it.
Willowfrost nodded approvingly at Wolfhive's kill, but concern furrowed her brow as they realized this was more than just a wandering warrior. Something more sinister had occurred. "Sounds like a plan." She agreed, frowning.

Mallowpaw
110/100
Her move had worked; partially, at least. Wolfhive stumbled over her outstretched paw but didn't fall. She watched as he got his bearings, wondering if she could attack him before he struck again. She could yank his tail, maybe? But before she could move, Wolfhive was on his paws, swiping one towards her face. Mallowpaw took a couple of steps back to avoid the blow, before dropping into a position not unlike a hunter's crouch, tensing her muscles, and dashing towards him in an attempt to knock his legs out from under him. If her move worked, she would roll out from under him to avoid being squashed- having a cat probably heavier than her fall on her didn't sound like fun. And it would likely end the fight; she doubted she would be able to free herself.

"Alright," Carrioncaller relents at the apprentice's snapping. There's little point convincing a cat to take this trip easy if the flat out refused. "Let's get going, then," he decides, and starts the trip to the pond.
Upon arriving, the large tom turns to the patrol. "We can split up to cover more ground, but don't go out of earshot, and if you run into trouble, don't bite off more than you can chew." That said, he turns to go in search of any tansy.
[roll - 15, success || amount - 1]
He does find some, but most of it seems to have gone bad in the recent cold weather, ruining most of the plant. It's not much, but he manages to salvage at least one sprig of the tansy. Hopefully he'll be able to find more, it would be bad if he returned to Wolfpaw with little to show for the patrol.

Re: Cattail Pond
Cloudedpaw nodded sharply and strode away. He lifted his head to smell the air, then realized he had no idea what tansy looked or smelled like. He flicked his tail and continued off anyway.
[Cloudedpaw rolls a 5/No tansy for him.]
Cloudedpaw stuck his head in a bush. It had leaves, so it must have been the tansy that Wolfpaw was looking for. He snagged 4 leaves off of the bush and trotted back to Carrioncaller with the leaves in his jaws and head held high. I got some. He mumbled, dropping them at his paws.

Acornfall sighed at the apprentice’s stubbornness. There was nothing he could do if Cloudedpaw was determined to go through with it. He nodded at Carrioncaller, and set off to find some tansy of his own.
-rolled 17-
Acornfall scored! Based on the description Wolfpaw gave them, he could tell this was the plant. And even though this bush was mostly impacted by leaf-bare, there were still two good sprigs he could get without taking too much from the plant so it could hopefully survive. He carefully removed the sprigs, gathering them and returning to where he left the others to see what they were able to collect.
He looked at the leaves that Cloudedpaw found, and tiled his head. Looking at what he found and then at Cloudedpaw’s leaves. They didn’t look the same. “Um…sorry kid. That ain’t tansy.” He mewed through the sprigs in his mouth, his voice slightly muffled as he was being careful not to accidentally puncture one of them with his teeth.
