Yanking her head out, Skunkblaze shook her head, showering water. Ahhhhh she mumbled, with the water still dripping from her face. This felt SO nice. Looking at Deerblossom, bent over, she crept up behind him. A mischievous grin on her face, she CASUALLY bumped into his rump, probably spilling him off the bank, and into the river.

"Aaaahhh!" Deerblossom shrieked when he got pushed. He plummeted face first into the water and, after shaking his head to get to mud off, he playfully growled and lashed out to pull the she in too. He wasn't going to let her win that easily.

Ashfeather gave a bit of a lopsided smile. "Yeah. I've heard that taking care of kits could be some difficult work." She looked at Flameclaw and her smile widened. "I'm doing pretty good. But there's something that I'm excited about." She looked first at Nightleaf and then back to Flameclaw. She knew that maybe she should talk to her mate about it somewhere else, but she couldn't hold it in. And who cared if more cats knew? Everybody would know soon enough when she moved to the nursery. "I'm pregnant!"

Ashfeather turned toward the apprentice, nearly getting knocked over. "Oh - it's fine!" she purred. "I was in the way, anyway. How are you?" she asked, scooting a bit further away.

Ha! Skunkblaze snorted, as Deerblossom splashed into the water. It quickly turned into a burble though, as she too sank into the water. Breaking the surface, she shook her head. What was that for? she joked, slicking a pawful of water at his face. @MagicCat99

The tabby started back toward their den, gesturing for the group to follow. "I’m going to move the herbs, just so they don’t get ruined or anything," they spoke. Could herbs be ruined by dirt? It seemed unlikely, considering they were stored in dirt clefts. But they didn’t want hard work ruined.

"Um, two of you can go ahead and work on the resting area. There’s no nests right now, but it’s over in that corner." with a pause, they wondered what the other two could do. Oh! "The other two of you can push back that wall where the herbs were? It’s kind of tight back there, and some space would be good." Whew. They looked at Coldamber, silently questioning if this was alright, if she needed anything?

Come on Sandpaw! Let's do some digging! Skunkblaze called, heading into the resting area. Hopefully Sandpaw was decent at digging, or this could be a long job. Sticking her claws into the wall, she gouged out pawfuls of dirt, and allowed them to collect behind her. They could take them out later. @Ayeeta @elysian

Ashfeather suddenly felt a bit anxious with Nightleaf looking at them. Glancing at the black she-cat, she asked, "Uh... could we... get a second alone?" Without waiting, she turned back to Flameclaw, barely noticing his overly shocked reaction. Excitement thrilled through her body. "Yeah!" she purred, her voice a bit giddy. "You are."

Ashfeather blinked in confusion. She didn't understand what the tom was saying. "Hate you?" she asked, the excitement dying out of her distorted voice. "Why... why would our kits hate you, Flameclaw? You would be a great father." Why was Flameclaw so worried? This was good news, surely.
