Gonna mention @wolfie here so that they see this request.

As it stands with this plot, I will have to have Lightning bow out. She would notice a broken leg. She is meticulous with her patients, and by this point has actively had to deal with multiple patients trying to hide their injuries, so she doesn't just take a warriors' word over what ails them, she will investigate, and she will notice the limb is broken. If you want, however, I can propose a different plot in which Poppysong simply doesn't get tended to?

You mention Poppysong is terrified of the medicine cat's den? If Lightning were to hear their call and call back to them that she is coming, how likely would Poppy be to run away before she gets there? They coughed, so she will follow if she sees them, but if they were to leave while she searches for some preemptive herbs for treatment, she wouldn't know who was there in the first place, and therefore be unable to heal them. This way, she would keep an eye out for any sick cats, but as long as Poppy avoids her - shouldn't be overly hard with how busy she has been - by the time they decide they have to seek medical attention, the damage could be done and the leg too healed to set properly anymore?

This is of course just an idea if you would like Lightning to help out with this visit, as her not noticing would simply not be in character for her. If it sounds good for you, do let me know! I'll try and get a response in soon if so.

Fixing this for KitKat, Wispkit will die.
I thought I'd help her, so Lightningstorm can be there when Wisp dies in the nursery.
