It appeared too big to be a bug, but as he got closer he realized it was just a massive beetle. Slightly spooked the warrior padded away quickly, back to his patrol

Nightpaw scents the ground and wind for invaders, not scenting anything he would not recognize he begins to refresh the scent markers.
When Sunsnarl comes back he looks at him. "Everything okay over there?" He asks softly, tilting his head.

Elkshade limped over to set the scent markers, and jumped back when he saw something making it’s way up a tree. He decided it would be better to try and figure out what it was and doing before calling an alarm. He sniffed it. He recognized it as a bu. “Huh?” he murmed. “Nightpaw! Sunsnarl! Come over here!” He yowled. He swiped a paw at the bu, wondering how it would react. @Phantomtamer @Winter Jax

"Yeah, there was a massive beetle on that tree, from the sound of it Elkshade just saw it too. I'm probably gonna report that to Shadestorm, just as a warning." Sunsnarl mewed. "Lets head back." He added

He hadn't bothered to see if his clanmates were following him, because if they weren't that wasn't his problem anyway. He eyed the borders, noting that they were faint, and that Riverclan likely hadn't checked up over here recently, at least not over where he was. He continued on, and smelled something... strange, as he scent marked his part. It wasn't a cat, nor a dog, or anything familiar. It tingled his senses, and he decided to ask his clanmates if they knew what the smell was. "Hey! What's that smell?" He called behind him, his ear angled back to catch any responses. He continued to sniff where he was, while he curiously flicked his tail about.
