"That's it? You were starting to look as nasty as everyone else lately. Is there something up with you all?" She snorts. It's rhetorical; of course there's something up. They're in Riverclan. Everyone's got something up. "I can hunt, too, you know. Lots of cats can. Lils is Lilyglide, right? Next time I gotta clean the nursery out I can make sure she's fed. That's like, the whole point, right?" They're a clan, dangit. Nobody should be looking dead on their paws all because they feel like they've got to be the sole provider for someone else.

Salamanderpaw stretches out, rocking forward and then back and then settling onto her haunches with a little sigh. "Training's good. I got Caveclaw showin' me how to fight, Amberdusk showed me fishing tips a while back, Willowtail got me through a real, proper tour...only, Sedgewater Valley's off limits, but whatever. Now that the stupid river's frozen over I haven't been able to swim anyplace. I almost wonder if I should just try learning out at Lionsbeach." It's...mostly a joke. She may not be the sharpest thorn on the branch, but Salamanderpaw recognizes the danger of trying to learn to swim in a tide. That might not matter to her the longer she's deprived of her warrior name because of it, though.

"So anyway, that's me growing and doing better. What about you, are you getting better, or what? I told you, I'm gonna get you someday, so you better be getting ready for it. 'Cause I meant it." She squints critically at Snapjaw for a moment before her gaze softens up. She does mean it, but it's all in good fun.

So, what, the big technique is to just offer to go on a walk? That's what she was shooed back for? Salamanderpaw scoffs lightly...but if that's something Starrypaw really wants right now, then it can't be that outrageous. This offer likely isn't being extended to anyone else, so from her spot a couple paces back Salamanderpaw chimes:

"Feel better, Starrypaw. I'll leave a fish in your nest if there are any."

She's noticed the little weirdo doesn't really bother eating anything without scales. It's not something Salamanderpaw really understands, but it is what it is. That pickiness is going to be real hard to accommodate with the rivers frozen over like they are, now, but that's all the more reason to go and see if there's any. From what she can see this far away, it looks like a hard maybe.

Pebblesplash returns to camp after going to the river to drink some water. She was surprised the river wasn’t completely frozen.

Little Owletkit had been wanting to mind her own business, strolling around camp like a kit, batting at everything she saw. But then... She saw something even better! A grey-furred cat, just sitting around, just calling for her to come and pounce at them! So Owletkit lowered herself in a very lopsided crouch and began to creep towards them.

"SURPRISE ATTACK!" She squealed, jumping at their tail with a playful giggle. "I gotcha!"

Sunsetgleam had been looking around the camp; they..weren't exactly doing a lot, but if any trouble arises at least they'd know. And..they were right to do that. They didn't see a fight, or a dying cat. They saw..was that Primroseadder? Something about her looked..different "hey..Primroseadder?" They called out in a softer tone, trying to get the she-cats attention without taking her by too much surprise "I'm sorry if I'm invading a bit but..what happened?" they weren't looking to pry, but Sunsetgleam just wanted to know what's gotten the other warrior to act like that. Was she alright? No, clearly not, they didn't need to ask that to know for sure. Did something bad happen? The answer is already obvious. If someone needed help, then surely the right thing to do would be to help them; if Primroseadder needed help, then..Sunsetgleam should try to help and be understanding, right?

Primroseadder exited the nursery, a look of mixed anger and sadness on her face as she slipped from the shadows, emerging so that her Clanmates could see her. Never---not once in her life---had she fought with Almondchatter. With her mother. Today. . .

. . .that changed. History changed. This had been her first-ever argument with Almondchatter, and, of course, it had been over Primroseadder's littermate and sister---Dewpaw.

Primroseadder had had a run-in with her kin at the outskirts border. However, only Owlstar and Almondchatter knew that. While Owlstar was understanding about the whole thing, Almondchatter had not been. Instead, she had acted almost completely opposite of how her daughter had thought she would. With a small huff, the dark-cream-and-white RiverClan warrior grabbed a small salmon---her favorite type of prey---off the fresh-kill pile and settled as far from the nursery as possible to eat it.

It was a normal day in the camp, the sound of small waves hitting the rocks just outside the entrance, the faint sound of cats chatting, a bit colder and some clouds, but to OtterFoot, it felt like a sunny day. She was walking around just to get a little breeze when she saw a cat eating alone, they looked upset so OtterFoot padded over to hopefully help, "Hello, Im OtterFoot. You looked a little down as I was walking past, is everything alright dear?" She purred kindly, keeping her distance so they don't feel uncomfortable

Primroseadder looked up at the sound of a voice calling to her---Sunsetgleam. Her eyes then flicked over to another warrior that had approached her---Otterfoot. They both seemingly knew that she was upset and were both asking.

Swallowing the rest of her salmon, the warrior shifted into a sitting position. ''I. . .I had a fight with Almondchatter---my mother,'' She admitted, staring down at her paws as they kneaded the ground. ''We've never fought before, and. . .''

Oh, there was another warrior that had approached; Otterfoot was her name? Sunsetgleam didn't exactly have a problem with that, though if more cats come around they just worried it's gonna get cluttered and unnecessary. But the both of them were trying to help and..the thought counts a little, right?

A fight with her mother? For the first time? Ever? Then that probably signalled something bad, something that had cause the two cat's relationship to falter like that. Otterfoot took Sunsetgleam's words straight out of their mouth and they were about to ask what had what cause the arguement in the first place before the other warrior had already asked; if they asked the same thing, it'll seem weird "I'm sorry that arguement happened, I'll at least try to help you and Almondchatter out in..some way, if you want" they sat near the other warrior, offering the she-cat a kind expression

Primroseadder tipped her head to the side. ''Over---Over my sister, my littermate. Dewpaw. She went missing whenever I was still an apprentice.''

''No, no. It's okay, you don't have to, Sunsetgleam,'' The warrior shook her head, her emerald eyes glistening with unreadable emotions. ''Almondchatter and I both said things that we should've not. We'll. . .We'll make up eventually, I'm sure. Whenever her kits---my half-siblings---are here.''
