The squirrel's luck seemed to die quickly, as a haughty Lionstar pranced through the woods in search of more prey.

For some reason, he wasn't having much luck finding anything. As soon as he scented something, it seemed the animal scurried away. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He wanted a refund on the prey around here. Get some baby turtles instead.

Almondpaw ran over following a new trail, slowing down, seeing a squrriel flying away from Lionstar, he jumped at it.

Whiteheart enters lionsrange and sits down. She sees a butterfly and silently bats at it. She unsheathes her claws and catches it. She rememebers when she was a kit, no worries and always batting at butterflies. She flicks her tail and decides to ptrol the riverclan border.

Yeaahh, he was beginning to think the forest was cheating. Where was all the prey?!

Lashing his tail, Lionstar dropped into a crouch and slipped through the nearby undergrowth, keeping an eye out for anything of interest. A bird, a mouse, anything... aha!

Scuttering over some leaves was a mouse, and Lionstar didn't hesitate. He pounced toward it, paws falling over the little rodent.

When he reached to bite it though, it was gone - and angrily he struck the ground with a hiss. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!"

Finally! His luck was taking a turn.

The fluttering of wings as a bird landed nearby garnered his attention, and he didn't wait - pouncing on it and pinning it. A bit to the throat killed it.

But his joy was short lived due to Almondpaw's arrival, and he did his best to keep a neutral expression. "The prey around here has been.. unfortunate, but I'm glad you did so well." This was all about keeping appearance, after all. "Let's head back to camp."

During their time away from ShadowClan, Whiskernose and Citrusflower made their way as far away from Dawnstar as they could. Whiskernose, having previously been through RiverClan, probably was the reason they ended up in the Lionsrange, though it was accidental.
He didn't want to get on the water cats' bad side. It was a dumb thing, considering he had warned them about Dawnstar and was hoping that if things were rough enough, they could maybe seek refuge there.
It was easy to find food on the beach at least.
The gulls were messy birds, and often had leftovers from fresh meals and the bridal pools held a great many lovely things to eat.
He had just stolen a fish from the pools and was bringing it to Citrusflower to share.
