Primroseadder's ears perked up at the sound of another cat's voice, and she turned around to face whoever had spoken to her.

Shadowpaw.

The young warrior tipped her head to the side, emerald hues narrowing against the gray light. ´´Sure. Have you had a tour of the territory, because that's what I'm taking these two out for,´´ The RiverClanner gestured to Morningpaw and Hookpaw with her maw.

Primroseadder blinked, emerald eyes narrowing. She gave a sigh. ´´Fine, Morningpaw. You can come, but you're not allowed to continue to be mean to Hookpaw,´´ She meowed sternly before heading over toward the camp entrance / exit. ´´You two coming?´´

HookPaw bounced with excitement, leaping up and onto his paws.
"Eep! I can't wait!!" The apprentice squealed with wonder, already somehow halfway to the entrance of the camp.
"I bet if I went hunting I'd catch the biggest fish ever caught!" HookPaw beamed with pride, a low purr caught in his throat.

"Ooh, ooh! Is ShadowPaw coming with?" HookPaw asked, pausing to look around and stare at the fellow apprentice.
"You hear that MorningPaw? We have another buddy coming along!" HookPaw glanced at MorningPaw, curiosity filling his gaze.

Stonepaw listened to Salamanderpaw's words with solemn, yet slightly confused eyes. "I guess that's true..." she whispered. "But that's not just a dead body to Owltalon. That's her friend."

The gray apprentice awkwardly shut her mouth. It didn't feel right to talk about Owltalon behind her back, or Stormstar. And she didn't want to sound mad at Salamanderpaw- their new leader already was.

Adderstrike slipped next to Stonepaw without a word. Her mentor was really upset. She heard Adderstrike's scream, among the other loud cries of her clanmates... Stonepaw glanced up at the warrior, worried. She didn't know what to say. Or what to do. Even a simple brush of her tail against Adderstrike's seemed unreachable to her, Stonepaw had never comforted a cat before. Or really been comforted. She kept her eyes low as Cricketsplash began calling out orders, and as Salamanderpaw immediately started yelling back at him. She agreed with the older apprentice. Everyone in the clan would miss Stormstar, so shouldn't they grieve their leader together?

That's what we get, that's all we get. Buzzing off and playing stupid games isn't gonna help them and it's not gonna save them and you don't get to decide that it will.

Salamanderpaw's words caused a heavy, weighing feeling to settle in Stonepaw's heart. She was right. This was the life of a warrior, wasn't it... there was no use in pretending it wasn't. Cats would die. The future would feel dark.

All at once, a wave of exhaustion crashed into Stonepaw, tugging at her paws and pulling her deeper down. She was tired. She usually felt this way after pushing her body too far, but never from just feeling. Feeling so much sadness. Stonepaw didn't move when Cricketsplash said to, because the bitter part of her thought it was dumb, and she wasn't sure what would happen if she tried. She was too tired to do anything.

Adderstrike walked away with her old apprentice, Primroseadder. Salamanderpaw had left. Cats began walking up to Stormstar to say goodbye, but Stonepaw stayed where she was. She wouldn't know what to say, anyways.

She'd go back inside soon...
