Vinepaw scrambled out of Twilightforest's grasp and looked at Pinepaw. "Uhh, you okay?" She meowed quietly and nudged him.
She jumped up suddenly.
"Honeypetal!" Vinepaw gasped and shot a glare at Beetlepaw.

Morningpaw

Good, Beetlepaw was with him. And eventually after getting away enough that someone would have enough to catch Vinepaw if she decided to try and follow up on threats he stopped. Morningpaw looked up to the leader, waiting for her response to the situation before Beetlepaw’s voice graced his ears again. He turned his cold, green eyed gaze to the apprentice. “I want you to act like a proper apprentice of this clan, and also… figure what the hell just happened so that you don’t do it again.” Beetlepaw seemed sad but Morningpaw couldn’t find it in himself to care honestly. He flicked his tail, “I would rather we drop it until after the meeting.” Mostly because Morningpaw wanted to focus on the meeting, not the kitten fight that just occurred.

Beetlepaw nodded, but didnt reply. What kind of apprentice fights their own clanmates? She really was horrible. Beetlepaw kept her head down, tears rolling down her cheeks. Luckily, no-one could see, at least she thought.

Honeypetal did their best to menacingly walk up to Vinepaw, face stern. "Vinepaw, what did you think you were doing?! You can't just fight during a meeting like that, let alone fighting your Clanmates!"

"Look, I know you're still learning, but c'mon now. I don't care who started it, I care why you engaged in it. So spit it out. Why?"

Vinepaw's tail bristled. "It was all Beetlepaw! I was just muttering about the apprentice den getting full now then she butted in, trying to act all smart and stuff!" She meowed angrily.

"Parenthood doesn't mean you own her!" there was no hiding the hint of a growl in his throat. "Nor does it give you a right to guilt her about her name." The 'softness' Mountaintalon portrayed to Kestrelpaw made Wolfhive uneasy. He knew it soothed Kestrelpaw, but it didn't feel right... reminded him of ... who? [ @dino. @Rose @Blaaze unfortunately wolf has to deal w some dummies so his side is ending early ;o ]

His attention was warped by the commotion of fighting. Though some cats beat him to it, just breaking up a fight didn't seem like enough of a deterrent - he heard Vinepaw's threatening hiss. "Vinepaw. If you want to act like a kitten having a tantrum then you can join the rest of the kits in the nursery as Vinekit [ @Bluest+r~ ]; it'll give you some time to cool off and reconsider your actions before you do them. Behave, help out around the den, and have three queens come to me with referrals about your good attitude to get your apprentice rank back.

"Beetlepaw [ @Alderheart2763 ]. You didn't throw the first blow, but you did add fuel to the fire and retaliated. I'm not demoting you, but you're confined to camp until, with Risingstorm's [ @Spider. ] supervision, you help Vinekit clean out the nursery and, separately, clean out the elders' den and apprentices' den. If I hear either of you disregarding this, things will get worse for both of you."

Beetlepaw lifted her head slightly to see what was happening with Vinepaw. For a moment they felt bad, they got them inot this mess. After looking for a few seconds, Beetlepaw went back to looking at her paws.

Beetlepaw's fur bristled. "How is that fair? I caused it, surely I should be demoted too?" Beetlepaw's tail bushed up, why was she defending Vinepaw? "Im not questioning you, but I know what is right or wrong, and that doesn't seem right." Beetlepaw seemed suddenly embarrased, should they have spoke up? She should be lucky she wasnt demoted.

Vinekit's jaw dropped. Her fur bristled and turned to her mentor for a protest. Alas, it didn't come and she sighed and walked away to the nursery.
