A part of the clear, small stream running through Riverclan's clearing grew dark for a moment, obscured by a paw carefully guiding itself over it. Three more paws followed, landing in the soft sand on the other side and carrying over the shadow with them. As the darkness moved away the sunlight was once again allowed to shine upon the water, letting the stream glisten, and sparkle. A beautiful daily reminder of Riverclan's most irreplaceable treasure.
The shadow continued under the blue-gray tom as he wandered around the camp, observing the chatting of others and the activities of his clan. He had already checked on the elders den, the medicine cat's den, and the nursery. The kits were always happy and so full of energy, willing to play with anyone. Though the Queens always kept them away from Songwave, assuming that he was not fond of kits. He'd never correct them though, they were only doing what they believed was best for their kits. And how could he tell them otherwise?
They were the tom's clanmates, they'd seen him in battle. He was logical and seemingly unconflicted with his friendships to other clans, for the sole loyalty of Riverclan. They wanted to teach their kits precious values, like empathy and kindness, of which they believed the warrior had none. Trusted to protect their kits, but not to raise them. Relied upon to defend his clanmates, but not to enjoy past times with them. That was just Songwave's role. His identity. There was no pain or guilt in remaining that way, as none his clanmates would get hurt, or killed, for his sake.
A twig brushed against the tom's white cheek, pulling him out of his mind and back into the camp clearing. Songwave remembered the warmth of the sand and let it travel up his paw pads, his ears swivelling around to hear the camp chatter again as his eyes gathered in his surroundings. The warriors den. Just where he wanted to be.
The tom poked his head through lichen to make sure everyone was where they were last time he checked, before pulling his head back out. As he dreaded, it was peaceful for now. Songwave gave himself a lick on the chest before looking towards the entrance.
'Perhaps I should go for a hunt? Better to make use of myself than sit around.' He thought to himself.

Lavenderleopard had been emerging from the warriors den after a peaceful nap and bumped into Songwave. Pale blue hues widening, she helped the tom up whenever he had fallen. ´´I´m so sorry!´´ The warrior apologized, repeating herself so that he knew she meant it. ´´I am so, so sorry, Songwave. I didn´t mean to bump into you.´´ The she-cat´s shoulder had scarred after the otter fight, a cat would notice.
The tom blinked with a mixture of sympathy and encouragement at Sorrelsplash, but delved no further into her injury. Clearly, despite her good-natured attitude about it, it was still a bit of a sore subject.
His ears flicked in surprise when she asked how he had been and what it was like being Head Lionheart. Honestly, it had been awhile since anyone had asked him the former. It was nice. "I've been well! I'm currently training a new apprentice, Soaringpaw- she was formerly an outsider named Sora, weird name right?" Brokenstream began with a purr as he mentioned his apprentice. "But she fits in so well! You wouldn't know she wasn't RiverClan originally. She's a bit...spunky...but she's got a good heart and a smart brain. She'll grow up to be a great warrior." He boasted, green eyes gleaming with pride. Hmm...he needed to get her started with hunting training. A good reminder. "As for being Head Lionheart..."
The bengal's tail tip twitched to and fro as he thought. "Honestly, it's not much different than being a regular Lionheart. We have an amazing team who works hard at what they do. I still consider myself a regular old warrior, just like anyone else here. Just, you know, helping out Stormstar and Owltalon with having a bit more watchful eyes." He explained with a shrug.
Sorrelstreams ear twitched as she thought about the former outsider. "You're right, she doesn't seem very much like an outsider. I had completely forgotten she had been an outsider." She hadn't ever talked to her so she quite frankly wouldn't know how she had seemed, but from what she had at least viewed. She wondered, briefly, if she would ever be allowed to apprentice, since she was now half blind perhaps not. She had only just been allowed back to her duties and didn't actually even know if she could preform them correctly. She left out a very soft sigh and then brought her attention back to Brokenstream.
"That's true, but it must be such an honor. It sounds stressful, so it's a good thing you like it." She trailed off, frowning ever so softly as she finished. She had no idea what to say now.

Stiffening as Rainpaw leaned in closer to him, the young tom watched her cautiously out of the corner of his eye. Ah, she was just cleaning his fur too. He should be grateful. At least, that's what he thinks Ravenpaw would tell him. Why was that crazy she-cat always pushing him to hang out with Rainpaw anyways? They clearly didn't get along...Well, that couldn't actually be true because, for a moment, Riftpaw allowed his eyes to fall half-lidded with the gentle, rhythmic lull of Rainpaw's grooming. Of course, this would be short-lived.
Stifling the disappointment (?) he felt as Rainpaw pulled away, he nodded at her. "Thanks." He mewed awkwardly, clearing his throat. Why was he disappointed? He thought Rainpaw was weird. At least in the sense that she made him feel weird- and what he did know is that he didn't like it. Not one bit...Maybe? No. Feelings now confuddled, the half and half apprentice shot up from his spot, wrapping his tail tightly around his paws as he looked away from his denmate. However, his head quickly whipped back around to stare at her, confused. "I didn't roll in a pile of leaves." StarClan, where was Ravenpaw when he needed her. He was getting way too flustered to deal with this much longer. But Ravenpaw is mischevious...should he be worried?

"Say, would you like to join me for a swim in the river?"
The tom asked kindly, giving a friendly blink to the she-cat. He didn't want her to doubt her hunting ability, so he avoided asking to go for a hunt. "I think feeling the water again will remind you that no matter the injury, you're still just as much of a RiverClan cat as the rest of us." Brokenstream mewed, nudging Sorrelsplash's shoulder gently with his own.

Now, he wasn’t saying he was bored, but… he was bored. Seriously, there wasn’t much to do about anything when you were stuck in camp. Oh, what he wouldn’t give to just skip the next moon and be a ‘paw already. Unfortunately, that was not how life worked, and he had to be patient and wait just like everybody else. He could wait, even if he was a bit impatient for it.
The light brown tom was laying on his back, staring at the sky and thinking. It wasn’t too much of an eventful day for him. Just an ordinary day, with ordinary cats, in an ordinary camp. He hated being stuck in there, but he was trying his best not to give into any urges and sneak out.
Suddenly, a cool-looking bird crossed the sky with a dazzling swoop of its wings, gone as soon as it had appeared. Left in awe, he stared at the now empty space in the sky the bird had been, only to be distracted by one of its feathers falling onto his nose. Cool! He could use it for something later, whatever that may be.

I didn´t mean to bump into you.´´ The she-cat´s shoulder had scarred after the otter fight, a cat would notice.
The tom ears flattened in surprise as he was yanked up to his paws before he had time to pick himself up. A flurry of words hurriedly filled the air, although none of them were Songwave's, nor were most of them anything other than an apology. It wasn't too big of a deal, it's not like he hadn't been knocked down before, but she really seemed to be hanging onto her honest mistake for longer than she deserved. He silently blinked at her after she finished speaking, letting the calm return so his quiet response could be heard.
"S'okay." He mewed, finally getting a chance to see the dark spots and stripes of a familiar clanmate.
It was Lavenderleopard, of course. He didn't know much about her yet -though, that was the same for most of his clanmates-, but he had heard about her fight with the otters. Apparently, so the 'paws say, Lavenderleopard dived at an otter to protect Fishleap from certain death. A courageous act, but not without a cost.
The tom's dark brown eyes had found their way to the scar on her shoulder. It was still quite large and young, a fresh mark from a recent battle. He had never seen such a large scar in its early stages like this, so he couldn't help but gaze and wonder about the elders and their scars. That, and to look away would deny the she-cat of what had happened and her bravery in that moment.
Except... when Songwave's eyes reached her face again he could sense from her expression that his staring might have hurt her, instead of being read as admiration.
"You okay?" The warrior asked gently, possibly referring to either the recent collision, her scar, or her mind. Or perhaps all of them at once.

Immediately, as Owltalon joins her, Larkwing feels her posture stiffen slightly. Nervousness is not an emotion she is unfamiliar with, not in the slightest, and she swallows down the feeling along with a bite of her fish.
"Oh, uh, just a light eater, I guess?" She answers, a slightly wobbly smile on her face. "Yeah, the chill's been messing with my scars too," truthfully, she's been sore all around lately, old injuries and fresh ones, so the shared experience wasn't unwelcome.
The deputy turned her head away for a moment, ears still turned behind her to pick up the mews of Larkwing. With her tail heavily coiled around large paws, the deputy was starting to feel like she'd do much better if she were in a caccon. Hm, but would good would that be? Just because she could fit in tight spaces didn't mean she liked to be in them, so she'd rather just be cold.
After her mind had wandered for a bit, she turned back to the thin she-cat. If anything, Owltalon would've expected cats to scarf down what they could when it came to leaf-bare. A meal always warmed ones stomach, but there was no shame in not seeking that warm, perhaps only wanting flavor. But, with leaf-bare also came the lack of food, so cats might not eat as much to better benefit the whole clan.
She couldn't shake the feeling that Larkwing simply wasn't comfortable around her. She understood that with kits, Beachkit in particular. When he first saw her, she could've sworn he was about to bolt right off that mountain. But, she didn't think that was the case with Larkwing, she'd probably seen worse scars, Owltalon knew that she had. But that was besides the point. What was wanted was a regular conversation.
"Ya don't say..." She tailed off, giving her head a slight tilt. "Wonder if anythin' could help with it. Eh, that's silly ain't it? I merely know of poppy seeds, and maybe moss, but I 'ave no idea what it does. But I'm used ta it, guess it's just a bit more unbearable now that somecat dug their teeth inta my muzzle and screwed it up." The three v one was certainly a battle to remember. "I can barely talk without any form a pain."
(Gggrrrrr, I'm sorry if this makes no sense!)

Nine, ten, eleven, twelve..... Twelve? Already? Marigoldpaw wasn't very good with numbers, she was better with feelings and such. One of those feelings being absolute horror and excitement. She was already twelve moons? And with Goldfish's sudden appearance, Marigoldpaw felt like the worst cat in the whole entire world. Goldfish was gone, Jayfrost was probably dead, Mousepaw didn't even reach warriorhood. In short, Marigoldpaw was in need of friends, before all of them eventually slipped right though her white and orange paws.
She lay at the outside of the apprentice den, her head low but eyes high, avoiding the sun cleverly and their blinding disapproval. She saw things that were mostly ordinary. Stuffing her paws underneath her belly and curling her tail around herself in a loaf, the apprentice tried to stop her chattering teeth and possibly feverish stare. But that was besides the point, because a few heartbeats later, she saw a bird. Most likely a sea bird of some kind. It lost a feather as it flew past, and her interest was peeked.
The feather seemed to have landed near a kit she didn't recognize, but she simply saw that as an opportunity to make a new friend. She walked up to the kit, her pawsteps wobbly as she dreaded every sting of cold that came to her paws pads. She probably looked horrible... Bloodshot eyes from crying, maybe even a sniffly nose. If wasn't the best first impression, but it would do.
"Uh... Hello there!" She said with a kind smile. "I'm uh Marigoldpaw! I see you've found an um... Uh. A feather! What's your name?"
