Fawnlight
The trek to the WindClan border was thankfully not one they would have to do in the rain. Clouds scattered across the sky but none of them were dark and heavy, which told Fawnlight that they would remain dry as they stepped out of the treeline and onto the bank. Between them was the river that separated RiverClan and WindClan, which was perhaps the only obstacle. The edges of the bank were still frosted over, but the ice looked thin. A sharp pain struck her chest as she recalled her near-drowning experience, having to swallow back the tears that threatened to rise within. No, no no. She was safe. The water was calm. It would be easy to cross. Plus, there had to be a section where the land sloped down and crossing was the safest.

Swinging her head around, mostly to survey the safest area to cross but also to make sure Twigkit was still on her back, Fawnlight finally turned her gaze to Raccoonear. "I think we can cross down there," she indicated, pointing with her tail towards a dip in the land where the river thinned. With a nod she padded softly towards it, but instead of crossing she simply stood for now. She didn't want to just step onto WindClan territory before their neighbors knew what they were here for. "We can wait here for a WindClan patrol." Fluffing her fur up, the young medicine cat went back to surveying the wide expanse of moorland on the other side, waiting to catch sight of any cats who might be able to lead her, Raccoonear, and the kit to their camp.

Twigkit wanted to return to Windclan more than anything, cats may call him lazy but all he wanted was a rabbit and a moss bed ready for him as soon as he returns. Sometimes he has dreams of skipping to the elder stage as soon as he becomes an apprentice. For some kits that could be a Nightmare, but for him, it was the best dream ever created.
He opened his eyes every now and then, to make sure this cat was taking him to Windclan and not some dark cave to kill him off.


Twigkit never remembered any conflict with Riverclan and Windclan, but he still never trusted them. He rather get kidnapped by Shadowclan than Riverclan. As they got closer to the river, twigkit dug his claws into Fawnlights back to make sure he didn't fall off and drown. But he remembered this could be a hostile cat and let go a bit. He waited for Twilightstar to show up and save him. So he can brag to all the kits that he was rescued by the only Twilightstar.

After no sign from the border patrol that was meant to head to Sedgewater Valley, Gingerfrost waddled out in the cold to do so instead. He hadn't seen Nightfeather or Emberflame since he assigned patrols; in fact, he couldn't even remember them showing up. He'd have to find Gullpaw after this to ask about what happened there. But for now, he was here. The ginger tabby grumbled a little as he brushed himself past a nearby bush, raked a bit of his paws over the ground, leaving scent marks along the border as he went. He wasn't exactly please with the WindClan border patrol's failure to complete it, nor thrilled that had to make a second trip to a border within the span of half a day. Then there was Fawnleap who didn't show either, and Robinpaw. And that kit situation. He had to hurry up and finish marking the border to sort all that out.

The gray molly slowly walked alongside Fawnlight, who had Twigkit upon her back. This trip was much different than any other one she'd been on to meet someone of another clan, calmer. Windclan was a clan she had deep respect for. They had Twilightstar, a truly kind and sensible cat, and Fallownose, who she was sure to be a good deputy, though she hadn't met him yet, however they have both had their ranks for a long time, and stable high ranks are vital to a clan. To add to that, this clan actually had morals. She padded through Riverclan territory, her mind clear for the most part, as the calming scenery passed her by like sponges absorbing any and all negative thoughts. Trees, vines hanging low, patches of light seeping in through the overhead brush and leaves, small reflective puddles, it's all so beautiful, Riverclan is so beautiful.

Her icy gaze followed to where the brown molly's tail pointed. A small dip in the river that separated the two clans. She nodded towards Fawnlight and made her way down to the edge of the river and sat down. "Sounds good." She enjoyed not having to wait in fear for a patrol to arrive, and to be able to wait calmly, to actually look forward to meeting whoever finds them. She turned to face Fawnlight with a kind smile on her face. "Hey, congrats on gettin' your full medicine cat name. I hear that takes a lotta dedication to the role, and faith. Those words you shared with the clan afterwards were real kind of you, heartfelt. Just wanted ta' with you luck on your journey as our medicine cat."

The slate-gray tom trotted easily along the moor with his medium-furred pelt fluffed up against the chill. He was sure WindClan was always the coldest in leaf-bare without trees to protect them, but he wouldn't trade his home for anything in the world.

Fallownose glanced towards the RiverClan border as he went before doing a double take as he noticed two cats... standing by it? Odd, it clearly wasn't a regular patrol considering they weren't moving along and marking the border, so the deputy swerved so he was bounding toward the cats. As he got closer, Fallownose recognized Fawnpaw, the current medicine cat of RiverClan, and his muscles relaxed slightly.

The tom slowed to a walk as he finally made it, dipping his head in greeting to the medicine cat and her escort before noticing the kit that was on her back. But wait, wasn't that Twigkit?

"Greetings, Fawnpaw," he started, giving a nod in the warrior's direction to acknowledge her even though he did not know her name. "I see you've found one of our wayward kits. What happened to Twigkit?" Fallownose's tone was not accusatory, simply curious. Pikestar was clearly different than Skystar, and seeing as WindClan and RiverClan were on relatively good terms, he highly doubted that they had kidnapped a kit. Plus, why would Fawnlight have brought Twigkit to the border if they had? No, the deputy simply wanted to know how in StarClan's name one of their kits came to be in a place where RiverClan found them and if Twigkit was okay.

Fawnlight
The feeling of claws digging into her back didn't really phase her; with how rightfully terrified Twigkit had been Fawnlight had half-expected him to hop off and bolt as soon as they reached the border. She was currently thanking her lucky stars that he had stayed put, and kept any comments about being "kidnapped" to himself. Mainly because she was exhausted and continuously fighting off a yawn that had been threatening to creep over her since yesterday. Between the chaos of it all, her naming ceremony, and now today, the medicine cat had not so much as a wink of sleep.

Ears perked as Raccoonear congratulated her on her name, and a rush of heat flushed her face. Fawnlight drew her ears back and tucked her head to give her chest fur a few swift licks. "Thank you, Raccoonear. That means a lot." Other than the cheers from the crowd below, Raccoonear was one of the only pawful of cats to personally congratulate her - not that the RiverClan medicine cat would ever seek it out. But it did feel rather nice. Lifting her head to return the smile, she added, "I hope I can continue to serve our Clan for a long time to come." It was actually quite pleasant being out here with the shield, and perhaps it was something she would want to do another time. Raccoonear seemed to be a good warrior, with a good head on her shoulders. No wonder Pikestar trusted her so much.

Paw steps approaching captured her attention and Fawnlight turned to see none other than Fallownose approaching them. Well that was certainly good. Dipping her head in greeting back to the deputy, the RiverClan medicine cat smiled softly. "Hello, Fallownose." Oh, her apprentice name. That's right - no one but those in RiverClan would know of her recent promotion. Ah. Well there would be time to go over that later.

"Yes, one of our border patrols to Smallpines found him. He was bleeding pretty badly, and there was lingering scent of fox. They brought him straight to my den since the injury was pretty bad, and I managed to stop the bleeding and get it wrapped up." There had been quite a bit of blood, likely from a scratch of sorts. Fawnlight still wasn't sure if it had been because of a fox, as one that was hungry enough surely would've taken the entire kit. But Mintpaw had reported the fox smell, so she would of course let WindClan know. "I had him rest in my den last night, but I hope now to return him to WindClan - and perhaps speak with Cowpaw about how his healing has gone, if possible."

Once she was finished she hesitated a bit and glanced at Raccoonear once before back at Fallownose. "Oh, and it's Fawnlight now. I recently received my full name." It was more so a correction on the 'paw part, not because she wanted to boast about her rank. Blue eyes glimmered though as she awaited Fallownose's thoughts on it all, and if he would permit her to speak with Cowpaw about Twigkit's healing. She had never really done this before, but she wanted to make sure the medicine cat was aware of what she had applied already and what had worked, if only to not have him waste herbs that he didn't have to.

Twigkit noticed these cats. But fell asleep again. Hoping this was just another crazy long dream. A Very Long dream.
He didn't know he smelled like a fox, but he didn't care. He wanted to get home and Sleep for as long as a cat could.

"Can i go home now?" he asked.

The slate-gray tom's mouth curved into a frown as Fawnlight began by mentioning the scent of a fox. That was cause for concern, though he didn't think one had managed to get into the nursery because none of the queens had reported it. Still, a fox on the territory was a danger, especially if it had gotten a taste for cat blood.

"Thank you for treating him. And, of course, I can escort you to our camp," Fallownose mewed, stepping back to give them room to cross. "Yes, Twigkit, you're going home now. Oh, congratulations on your name Fawnlight!" While happy for the young molly, it worried him for Cowpaw. He had been WindClan's medicine cat for much longer than Fawnlight had been RiverClan's, yet he still had his apprentice name. Was there something wrong that he should know about?

Shaking off the worries, the deputy glanced over his shoulder to make sure they both made it across alright and set off at an easy pace back towards WindClan camp.

Fawnlight
At Fallownose's invitation to cross over, Fawnlight smiled but turned to Raccoonear before doing so. "Thank you for escorting me to the border, but this is where you part ways." A concerned yet understanding look shown in her eyes as they flickered down to her paws and then back up. "Wash them out in the stream as best you can, and in my den there should be at least one or two cobwebs left. Have Pikestar help you wrap them if needed, and stay off them as much as you can." Though gentle, there was a firmness in her tone that clarified this as an order and not a request. The guilt she felt for not having noticed before would be sifted through another day; right now she had to get this kit to WindClan's camp.

Turning back to Fallownose she gave a nod before bunching her muscles and springing across the river and landing just before the deputy, turning her head to make sure Twigkit was still on her back. With that she kept up with the pace as she followed the RiverClan deputy to WindClan's camp.
