Birchpaw´s tail tip twitched as she dragged dirty moss from the elders´ den. Fadingsun´s so-called ´punishment´ was harsh. Besides, she was getting the worst of it.

Personally, Birdsnow´s rule of hardening the patrol punishments was stupid. This was Birchpaw´s first punishment, and it had been too far to go to demotion.

The she-cat dropped the dirty moss and grabbed a ball of fresh moss, heading back towards the elders´ den. She noticed Goldfish on the way there and gave the warrior a nod of her head.

[ Birchpaw is warrior-aged. Do keep in mind that she is only using an apprentice name as a punishment and will earn her name and full warrior status back on March 12th, 2024. ]

"Sure do!" Swanberry grinned toothily. She watched as Riverwhisper practically drowned in excitement, taking note of his jubilating tone.

He was obviously giddy and it was growing on her.

"I just thought you'd look good in it, ya know?" Swanberry looked at the floor, trying to gather her thoughts in a more reasonable fashion. Her face was obviously flushing, and she was reeling. Why exactly? She wasn't sure.

But she felt comfortable around this strange tom. He was fun to be around. Also, he was very good at finding fruit in the middle of winter apparently. That was a skill she'd kill to have. Scavenging pretty trinkets and feathers? Yes! She wanted that!

Wait... What was she thinking about again?

She tore her eyes away from the ground to Riverwhisper, finding an odd sense of comfort in his gaze.

Probably because he's my clanmate. Swanberry concluded.

"Really, thank you." She said, lacking better words.

He smiled, seeing her face flush before she ducked her head. He hesitated, but he decided. Is this too much? he wondered. He shook his head to clear the negative thoughts. He began to gently groom her fur, unconsciously twining his tail with hers.

Swanberry returned the show of affection, twinning her tail with his. Haha! How funny, she'd done the same thing moments before.

"Tell me about yourself," she began. There had to be some way to carry this conversation, if not it would just fizzle out into awkwardness. Swanberry wasn't quite found of awkwardness.

Plus, he seemed pretty interesting. Any cat she didn't know much about was actually pretty interesting by default.Which isn't at all a bad thing! In fact it might be the best thing her brain had successfully hardwired into her brain.

She steadied her gaze to align with his, trying not to focus on the flurry of robins behind Riverwhisper.

Squirrelpaw padded around the clearing, checking on her Clanmates as they struggle from their wounds.

But there was one cat in particular that Squirrelpaw had noticed was injured badly - Treepaw.

A purr rumbled in her throat as she spotted Treepaw, a black and white tom that she liked. She possibly even had feelings for him.

´´Treepaw!´´ The she-cat called out, bounding over to him and pressing her muzzle to his shoulder.

Treepaw purred, licking her ear affectionatly (my spelling go bye), ``Squirrelpaw! Your back!``He chirped, happy to see his friend back from wherever she was. It didn't matter now. He was happy to see her again.

StrawberryPaw would yawn with a slight purr of amusement as she flipped into a more comfy position, with her belly facing the sky, she would meow and bat at her own paws, like a kit would. Ottersplash ran into camp, a kit in her jaws. The kit mewled loudly. "I need a medicine cat!"
