minkpaw jawned, she hadnt been able to sleep all night, unable to stop herself from thinking about her conversation with blazingstar the prior night. but it was the early morning now and she had to go check up on birchbranch. slipping out of the medicine cat den, it was early enough for most cats to be just getting up so the clearing was rather empty. luckily birchbranch was up already, so they didnt have to try to not step on anyone trying to get to her in the warrior den.
"hello birchbranch, i hope you had a good night, how are you doing? any issues?" was that a good checkup? well. the molly would probably complain if she had any issues so she supposed it must be fine. luckily most complaints would be probably minor, cobwebpaw wouldnt have let her move out of the medicine den otherwise.
Birchbranch lifted her head slowly as she saw Minkpaw approach her.
A purr rumbled in the warrior's throat.
''I'm doing just fine, Minkpaw. Thank you for asking,'' The warrior leaned forward, giving Minkpaw's ear a comforting lick.
''But I assume that's not the only reason you're here. Is something wrong? Do you need advice?''
Birchbranch whisked her tail, her head tilted questioningly.

the apprentice shook her head, "im okay, im really just here to check up on you.. but i'll remember if i ever do need advice" they stated. though she would probably go to pinefire and if she could, blazingstar. not for silly stuff obviously, she'd never exploit the uhm- situation- like that. who was she even trying to convince here.. "can i do anything for you? you should be resting for a bit longer"

Bait, hook, and sinker! Just as Cherryswirl had hoped, Cowkit had been intrigued by her talk of training,
"I'm sure you'll be an amazing warrior!" She meowed gently, finishing up with the final reed carefully, "I've done a lot of den repairs in my day! I used to get into trouble all the time as an apprentice..." Cherry purred. "So I know how to look out for the thorns. Sometimes I get poked, but it's usually ok." Now then, what could Cherry teach the little kit? With a grin, she backed away from the den and turned to crouch down by Cow. Keeping a level gaze she meowed quietly, like she was sharing a secret,
"I was thinking we could practice a special move here in camp!" She stopped momentarily to inspect Cowkit's expression, "It's a duck and roll... then after that we can try a swipe. How does that sound?"
Cowkit purred. "Oh seeing blood must suck!" she gave out a squeak as she looked up towards Cherry. "I want to practice that, I'm just like an apprentice right now!" she was wiggling in excitement as she jumped up and down in front of Cherry. "I mean in two moons I will be an apprentice!"

The bengal warrior turned her head and nodded in greeting. "That is true," she mewed softly, tucking her paws under her body. "Maybe we could have set a stronger foundation for Larkstar and Tansypaw if our Clan had just supported them. They're our leader, and yet cats disrespected them. Lets pray to the stars that doesn't happen to Birdstar," she thought aloud, her eyes gleaming with irritation. "Of course... That's just what I think," she quickly added, turning to look at the Head Lionheart. "RiverClan has gotten themselves buried themselves deep. Lets just hope we're not too deep," Spottedstream sighed, her silver fur reflecting the pale rays of the sun.

"It can be! Once you start hunting prey, you get used to it though-" Cherryswirl quickly sprung up to her paws, keeping a playfully serious expression. "Alright, Cowpaw!" She emphasized cheerfully, as she took up a loose stance on one side of the clearing,
"Go take your stance right on the other side of the clearing there, then once you're ready I want you to run at me like we're in battle. I'm going to gently swing out a paw towards you and I want you to duck," As she spoke she demonstrated the move for Cowkit, crouching down so her belly brushed the ground,
"-then roll!" With that, Cherry completed a full roll, quickly bouncing back onto her feet. "We'll start with that and once you're able to complete the roll, we'll work on your swings, sound good?" The Lionheart retraced her steps back to her original spot, taking up an offensive position this time.

In thought she indeed was... Cherryswirl seemed to stir as she realized that another was making their way over. Her gaze, that had been focused firmly on the dirt, redirected onto Birchbranch,
"Oh! Birchbranch, Hello!" The ginger tabby smiled softly, dipping her head in greeting as a soft purr rumbled in her chest, "I'm doing alright! I was just thinking about training I could set up for Wingpaw - it's too cold for swimming lessons... although hrmmm the springs should still be warm enough...." Cherry muttered to herself momentarily before addressing the other again,
"What can I help you with today, Birchbranch? Looking to go out on a patrol or just wanted some company?"
Oh, right, how to actually use it! Can't forget about that "you have to eat it to work. It does taste bitter though. Best amount is just one flower. If you give someone too much they might have a stomachache and nausea. For cats like kits and younger apprentices you should try to avoid giving them any" unfortunate but sadly an all powerful perfect herb that cures every or most problems and works for every age is too good to be true...at least probably. There's still some hope! Who knows what could be lying before them just waiting to be found. "As for scent...there isn't really much of a scent to it" which is a real bummer.
"The next herb...what about Willow leaves? Those plants usually grow in new leaf" oh, there's quite a few versions of the plant though it shouldn't be too hard, right?

not suitable for kits and younger apprentices, noted, this probably meant queens and frail elders were off limit too. and only one flower.. right okay.
"okay i think i got it." she remarked quietly, not wanting to interrupt sunsetpaws thoughts. "i dont know anything about willow leaves, so im all ears!" it was a miracle the other apprentice just so happened to know specifically herbs she didnt, bless starclan.
