Shadowfur nodded as Dawnstar expressed her thoughts on Vulturefang’s assessment.
He listened carefully as she expressed her approval for his idea, along with the rules she was setting for the event. Shadowfur completely understood her line of thinking, nodding in agreement as she finished speaking. “Understood, Dawnstar. I’ll begin searching for apprentices right away.”
[ Unless Dawn has anything else she wants to say to Shadow, I’m fine with her dismissing him off-screen! ]

The cat pelt still draped across his shoulders, Shadowfur leaned his head in to Dawnstar’s den. “Dawnstar? Foxcall and I found something interesting at the WindClan border; we’d like to present it to you and discuss the circumstances under which we found it.”

Vulturekit winced slightly in fear in their mind, but didn't let anything show on the outside as he quickly corrected himself, "You are the best cat ever!" keeping his tail still so none of his nervousness will show. When Dawnstar responded about the pelts, he tilted his head slightly, "But how did you start your collection? Also how does one learn how to skin pelts?" he asked with his kit like curiosity. Thinking to himself about his knowledge of apprenticeship (which wasn't much) you don't learn how to skin cats in it from as far as I know.
The warrior was slightly nervous to be near Dawnstar's, while he had respected the leader he still feared her slightly. They wanted to be here in case Dawnstar wanted to question them about the whole thing but there wasn't even much to question at the moment. They all would have to be on high alert for whoever did this. They stayed quiet as Shadowfur spoke out to Dawnstar, they decided to look around to try and calm themselves down.

The idea was fresh in her mind for a several days now, and after some delicate planning and consideration, Redmoon was ready to pitch the idea to Dawnstar. She figured the Clan could benefit from a class on silent communications, and if the leader would allow it, she'd be willing to teach the future generations as well. The perfect stepping stone for leaving a significant mark on ShadowClan. All she needed was approval.
The russet molly approached the leader's den with purpose in her step, dark tail held high. "Dawnstar," she called out from the entrance, "May I speak with you for a moment?"
Thornclaw padded into camp shaking his dusty coat the tom flicked his tail hating that he has to go speak to dawnstar," dawnstar I wish to see you, it will only take a few minutes thats all the time i want a few minutes to talk" he said from the entrance of the den, few minutes simple and easy
@Undertaker
Vixensnarl padded toward Dawnstar's den with the pelt she had held carefully so as not to dirty or ruin it. It had been too long since she had given her mother a gift, and now she was going to fix that. The tabby paused briefly outside the leader's den to ensure no one was in there with her before she fully entered. "Mother, I brought a gift," Vixensnarl said, using the term mother so the leader would know she wasn't here on official business.
The Enforcer carefully laid the Siamese pelt down so Dawnstar could put it where she pleased. "It came from a squirrel who wandered too close to the border by themself."
Orchidmoon approached the den with a confident gait, having just dropped off her prey offering into the freshkill pile. She needed to get her place recemented in the clan and fast - she would not have her stint as a twoleg prisoner stain her reputation forever. “Dawnstar,” she called from outside the den’s entrance. “I would like to speak with you regarding my absence in the clan, and the actions I plan to take to amend it.” Considering she had left with a decently high status, Orchidmoon was unsure of how her return would be received.
[ apologies for how long this took to get up - life got unexpectedly busy. i’ve also scrapped the orchidmoon pregnancy plot for the time being in order to focus on her activity in the clan. ]

The scarred mackerel tabby chuckled softly as she noticed that she had frightened the kit. It was so easy to scare her clanmates. It was so hard to find cats that understood her. The leader twitched her ears as Vulturekit asked about the pelts. Of course, this again. "My mate, Grimhound, brought me back the pelt of a WindClanner after a battle as a jest I believe. But I quite liked it and the clan picked up on that and started bringing me pelts as gifts ever since that. As for learning how you should start working on prey, like mice. Of course, don't waste prey make sure you eat the meat, but learning how to cut the pelt from the body isn't too hard. Vixensnarl and Ivysnake know how to skin, you could ask the for advice. Although Smolderingkit took an interest in skinning as well, you could see what he knows before pestering the older cats."

Shadowfur seemed to be making frequent visits to her den as much as she distrust him he's proven to be one of the most useful clanmates. He brought another warrior with him today, Foxcall. Her amber glare returned to Shadowfur as he explain what he was here for. "Interesting at WindClan's border, sounds entertaining, let's hear it." She prompted the tom to speak with an impatient twitch of her whiskers.

This is why Dawnstar liked to stay outside of camp, she never got much time to herself when she was in camp like this. She was aware this came with the territory and rank, but the she-cat would still complain about it internally. She lifted her head from her paws as she recognized Redmoon's meow. "Come in," She ordered in a brisk tone before ducking her head to swipe her tongue along her shoulder. Once the molly had stepped inside she realigned her gaze on the warrior. "What do you need?"

She went one cat off and another replaced them. Dawnstar snarled something to herself as Thornclaw called into her den, but was smart enough to wait before entering it. This better be no longer than a few moments, I need a nap."Come in, Thornclaw, be quick about it." She hissed, fighting off a yawn.

The Enforcer carefully laid the Siamese pelt down so Dawnstar could put it where she pleased. "It came from a squirrel who wandered too close to the border by themself."
Lost in thought about nothing overly important, Dawnstar's eyes regain their sharp, intense, glare as she heard the cat approaching her den. Now what is it? Dawnstar's ears flickered rapidly back and forth as the call was mother and not her name. Considering she only had two kits remaining in the clan, and Ivysnake rarely visited it wasn't hard to guess who it was. The she-cat's eyes gleamed brighter as her daughter aid a pelt down in front of her. Getting up, she padded closer to inspect it as Vixensnarl told her where she got it.
"Lovely I don't get many squirrel pelts, thank you." She replied gratefully, hooking her claws into the edge of the pelt, and moved it to add to her collection. "Was this squirrel merely too close to our border or over it? I need specific in case the rodents want to make a fuss."
Orchidmoon approached the den with a confident gait, having just dropped off her prey offering into the freshkill pile. [That's alright, I'm in no hurry. Okay, thanks for letting me know.]
Oh! Now that was a voice she hasn't heard in a long while, so long that the leader had begun to wonder if the molly had passed away. What else could keep her from returning to her clan? Vixensnarl had said something about her former mentor returning to the clan. With the hectic around camp, Dawnstar hadn't really been paying attention to returning cats. So long as they got the approval to return. "Enter." Dawnstar replied, wondering what Orchidmoon had to say.

THornclaw walked in"i can be quick, thought i come in the let you know that i found a loner on our border she was young but i chased her off, i thought to let you know because i don't want to lie or hide myself that i met a loner and chased her out especcially when your the leader who can rip someones pelt less then 1 minute" he replied super fast
@Undertaker
Shadowfur padded into Dawnstar’s den as she invited him to speak on the situation. He decided to explain before offering the pelt to her, figuring duty came before anything else. “Foxcall and I went to check up on the WindClan border, and while there we found this pelt. It was on our side of the border. Oddly enough, it was completely devoid of any scent, aside from the border markers. Whoever killed this cat must’ve taken the measures to wipe any scent clean from it, including the victim’s.”
He paused for a moment to crouch down and slide the pelt in question off of his back. “We looked around, but found no evidence of a struggle. No scent trail of any kind. I don’t think it was WindClan, since skinning isn’t their style. Plus, why bother hiding the evidence if it was to send a message or to taunt us?”
Shadowfur nudged the pelt with a paw. “We brought the pelt back for you, figuring you’d like to add it to your collection.” Briefly, the tom wondered if any of the older pelts in her collection were getting smelly or brittle, given how long they’d been in here for. He glanced at Foxcall, in case the other cat had anything to add.

Foxcall shook his head when Shadowfur had glanced toward them, indicating that they had nothing else to say but if Dawnstar wanted to ask them anything he would answer.
Vulturekit nose scrunched up at the name of his brother, “My brother is extra stinky though and probably wouldn’t help me.” He said with that still kit like behavior of having a small rivalry with his siblings but his tone showed he didn’t actually hate his siblings, his tail swished as he thought of asking Ivysnake, he had been taught by her. Maybe she would be willing.
