Rapid Recovery-Not Active
--------------------
Ugh.
Once she was up on land, she sat down with a wet plop.
"Right." She replied "Will do."
For some reason, she had a hunch breaks weren't really her thing before, so she would really have to take that advice.
"Uh, no need for fish for me, I'm okay." She said, implying he could get some for himself, obviously who was she to say he couldn't even if she had meant it like that, and that she would be fine without it "I'll just sit here for a moment."
Despite the words of encouragement, that tinge of humiliation still stuck.
Ugh, she would love to learn why.
Stupid brain.

Seabreeze
He/him | Riverclan Lionheart | Moons: 22 | Purrks: Go with the Flow | The Collector | Ultimate Predator |
“Ocean waters rising above your neck
You feel the glass start to crack.”
Seabreeze nodded and turned to lead the apprentice away from the raging river and instead out towards the forest that Seabreeze has taken to hunting in when he has the time. It would be the best bet for teaching his apprentice hunting as close as it can be to their normal territory. Though Seabreeze may show him some of the stuff that he and Rowanmane had learned while practicing more mountain based hunting techiques later if they have time. It didn’t too long to enter the forest and when they came to a clearing the lionheart slowed to a halt and waited for Covepaw to do the same.
“Since you said that you caught something why don’t you show me what you know and we’ll work on it from there?” The lionheart tilted his head slightly. He was curious to see the apprentice’s form. It must be somewhat there if he was able to catch something with it. He rather not go through the whole demonstration song and dance if he could help it. It did get a tad bit boring after awhile, sue him.

Re: RiverClan Mountain Territory
Heroneye
| she/her | RiverClan | Warrior |
Heroneye nodded thoughtfully at Floodsight's words. Well, yes, of course, the small, wispy things that inhabited the mountain waters were preferable to nothing at all. Perhaps Heroneye was simply being ungrateful; the fact that the three other Clans had allowed RiverClan to leave with their pelts was practically a small mercy in and of itself. One that Heroneye would certainly not take for granted.
And, oh--then Floodsight began to speak about kits. It was rather fascinating; the silver-pelted she-cat seemed to instantly light up at their mention. Heroneye hesitated, a small crease forming in her brow. Though she didn't particularly mind kits, she always regarded them as being... fragile, for lack of a better term. She always felt that the smallest comment, the most innocent misdirection could affect a kit for the rest of their life. And while that power could perhaps be used for good as well as evil, Heroneye was certain she'd mess up, one way or another. And besides, her serious disposition was likely much too boring for most kits. So, for those reasons, she generally avoided interacting with them as much as she could.
And then there was being a mentor. Floodsight's excitement on the notion was completely alien to Heroneye. It was like her fears about "messing up" a kit, but multiplied by ten. But then, Floodsight trailed off, rather sheepishly. Though Heroneye couldn't exactly relate to the other's feelings, she didn't really want her to stop talking, stop filling the silence. "It's good you feel that way," Heroneye began carefully. "I'm sure being a kit can be quite boring, so it's good to have warriors who try to make them feel included in the Clan. That's how I see it, anyway."

Re: RiverClan Mountain Territory
covepaw
APPRENTICE | Male | 9 moons
"Can you feel it? The ocean has a profound healing energy."
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay! I'm pretty sure my form's off by a large amount,"
Covepaw gave a cautious laugh, before he lowered himself into an unsteady crouch. He was almost 100% sure the other two times were luck-based. No matter! He'd try his best, even if his legs were shaking miserably. He wasn't the greatest at this whole hunting crouch thing, but who cares? Well, pretty much every cat- and the prey he wanted to catch. But other than that he could just do his best. If he was perfect at it why would Seabreeze be his mentor? Exactly! That was all of the reassurance he needed as he stood again, letting his legs rest.
Breaks were the best things for Covepaw. That meant naps, adventure, and fun-time! Fun-time included the following; running around like a mad man, impersonating badgers, squirrels, essentially forest critters, and much more that he couldn't quite think up right now.
He store at Seabreeze, waiting for the final rundown of his shaky hunting crouch. He was sure he could go a bit forward if he wanted to, but he wasn't exactly sure sure he could.

Her voice did trail off slightly when a small crease could be seen between Heroneye's brows. Did Floodsight manage to upset the other cat somehow. Maybe they don't any good experiences with kits, or perhaps something else? Floodsight doesn't have any particular reasons to love the little ones. Or perhaps she did? Their endless bounds of energy and silly thought process usually bring a small chuckle to Floodsight. Perhaps it was just instinct for her to protect their livelihood, something she wished she'd known. Perhaps she's just trying to be different from her parents...
Enough bad thoughts. Perhaps Heroneye just didn't like kits and there's no reason for it. The fellow warrior's encouragement gave Floodsight a slight push to continue, but her nervousness flooded warmth to her face. She may have rambled on for a little too long. Quietly, Floodsight continued, "Aa yes, I hope they do feel welcome, loved and cared for."
"Especially...with RiverClan's current situation. Needing to travel such long distances at a young age. A lot of them...lost so much, too much."

Re: RiverClan Mountain Territory
Heroneye
| she/her | RiverClan | Warrior |
Welcome, loved, and cared for, huh? Well, that was something of a tall order. After all, being kicked out of one's birthplace because of a war one had nothing to do with wasn't exactly the way to make one feel "welcome". Heroneye and many other warriors could barely wrap their heads around it themselves, so expecting a kit to move on from such terrifying experiences was pretty unreasonable. But... that didn't mean they shouldn't try, right? If they grew up thinking they were hated by the world, that they needed to fight tooth and claw for everything they deserved, they'd only go on to continue the hateful cycles that had put RiverClan into this mess.
Heroneye turned suddenly as a cry resounded from somewhere behind her: a hawk's cry, no doubt. The warrior caught sight of the bird lurching towards the earth, talons extended--though it was not aiming for the two cats. Rather, it had noticed the two barely buried fish the warriors had caught just a moment prior. After all, why go after the fully grown, living cats when there were two perfectly good meals sitting behind them? Though hawks were certainly not creatures to be trifled with, it felt wrong to simply allow it to take perfectly good fish--fish that the Clan could be using to feed itself. But at the same time, perhaps it would be better to cut one's losses, seeing as the hawk seemed uninterested in attacking the cats unless provoked.
Argh, why did things have to be so difficult? Heroneye silently turned to Floodsight, trying to convey, What in StarClan's name are we supposed to do? with her eyes. Right, of course! Heroneye could just do whatever the other warrior did! Great! Easy! No need for concern, surely.

Re: RiverClan Mountain Territory
Floodsight
◆ she/her | 20 moons | Mind Reader ; Beefed Up T1 ; empty slot
She had heard the hawk coming from behind, but Heroneye was faster to react. A peaceful day, just quickly turned into a disaster. Augh, she'd had been careless. It could've happened, and she knows it. It was at the back of her mind, but chose to think positively. She knew something would go wrong.
Nothing ever went right.
Just earlier she had made sure to check for hawks but got a little careless and distracted. And now... they're now in a jumble. If they were back in RiverClan territory, the most they've would've gotten was a few seagulls trying to steal a few nibs at their prey. But no, this was a hawk with eyes on their prey. Theirs.
She looked towards the older warrior for instructions, but they've only returned a worried look. That made Floodsight feel a pit in her stomach. If Heroneye was looking for her to give the correct answer, Floodsight can't guarantee it is right or one Heroneye would want. They could let it go. Let the prey stealing hawk take their fish... or they could take it all. For now...she needed to stay calm.
The answer she chose? Fight.
Floodsight launched herself towards the hawk, clinging on its back. It couldn't take off or fly with a warrior clinging on its back. But it sure can put up a fight. Floodsight had locked a strong bite onto one of it's wings, struggling to hold hawk down. She hoped Heroneye would be quick to act and join in. Floodsight couldn't hold on forever, and she was definitely not letting this bird get away with the clan's prey.
