No sooner had the kittypet turned to leave than another outsider jumping down to attack it. His lip lifted in the beginnings of an irritable snarl. Two paw steps outside of his territory and he wouldn’t have cared what happened between the two, but now the attacking rogue was causing him more of a nuisance. He took a step but was intercepted by Stormpaw. After apparently realizing the mistake, the apprentice turned to attack the rogue and then was targeted himself. Woollyfeather was quick to join the skirmish.

The dark medicine cats green eyes narrowed as he waited for the opportunity. As the loner dodged Woollyfeather’s attack then refocused on Stormpaw, a mere apprentice, for another attack, Elmshadow pounced for the rogue’s throat.

Mid attack, the rogue suddenly dropped onto the ground and went for a low strike, dodging the double paw strike narrowly.

Stormpaw Yelped in pain as the strike had connected to his chest leaving a deep x cut on it, Stormpaw continued to move in on the rouge trying to make sure it couldn’t get up with claws deep in its hind legs so that the warrior that was there could take the killing blow with less difficulty

He sank his claws into the rogue’s back and flanks, his teeth coming down over the back of the tom’s neck. He bit down hard as he shoved his weight into the intruder to force him down into the ground. He dug his claws in, forcing his bite deeper, as the rogue’s fights gradually grew weaker, until he fell still altogether.

Elmshadow stepped back away from the body of the rogue before turning to address the two Shadowclanners,. ”Stormpaw, you fought well but stupid.” He didn’t know exactly how stupid considering the apprentice well knew he had the experienced medicine cat standing at his side so he wouldn’t have been in extreme danger but all the same, he’d thrown an attack against a cat that he didn’t know and was out in the territory seemingly in his own. He turned to Woollyfeather with a small head bow, ”Woollyfeather, I appreciate the support. If you wouldn’t mind escorting Stormpaw back to camp, I’ll dispose of this rogue.”

A grey-blue kittypet She-cat was just sat outside of the territory, watching the clouds.

Cougarbite spotted the outsider at the border of clan territory and he approached her with a growl “why are you here?” he snarled

Woollyfeather was none too pleased that her attacks had not landed their mark, but at least the initial pounce had been intercepted. Just as she got to her paws and was turning to face the rogue, Elmshadow was quick to take advantage of the distracted outsider who had, even despite her best attempts, gotten his claws on Stormpaw.
The deep gash weeped freely, but Elmshadow didn't seem to think it was life threatening, so she let that ease her worries as she approached the Medicine Cat.
She returned his bow and nodded when he asked her to escort Stormpaw back to camp.
"Yes, sir."
She turned to the apprentice and waved for him to follow her with a flick of her tail.
Before leaving, she glanced back to the dark pelted tom.
"Do you believe we should inform Dawnstar? This is far from the first set of rogues seen in the territory. If I'm remembering correctly, this makes the fifth that I've heard about. I reported an earlier incident to an Enforcer, but this is so recent, I'm not sure how far the news has gone. And it just keeps happening."
She breathed before turning her attention back to Stormpaw.
"I won't hold you up much longer. I just thought I should bring it up now as opposed to later."
Woollyfeather began padding back to camp.
"C'mon kiddo. Let's get you to camp."

Stormpaw was stagering to stay up proud of himself for defending the medicine cat or at least something like that he thinks at least HE HELPED and thats what mattered to him, he though through those things while his chest was bleeding he looked down at that and simply said "Ouch" before looking at Elmshadow

'But stupid BUT STUPID ARE YOU KIDDING ME' He thought to himself though at least he didnt just shut him down immediatly like most other cats would

"Woah there i can go back to camp myself" He said wearily and turning in the wrong direction taking a step but missing that step then falling over the blood loss kinda taking over "But i would appreciate some support back there" he said after a few seconds of trying to get up

The she-cat began to speak, and it was barely understandable due to her accent. "Some nasty loner is going around killing off kits, I've tried to stop him but didn't succeed." She meowed in response.

"heh. I've mauled a kit once. you think I care about that?" Cougarbite said, sliding out his claws. "Step over this border and you're dead." He said, his teeth glinting in the sun as well as his claws. He was young but he was burly.
