Mouseleap watched in horror as the leader flashed away from their eyes. The queen shielded the kittens' eyes. She ushered them back into the nursery while trying to make them settle down. Mouseleap thought her words carefully as Woolkit asked her a question. "Oh.. just some drama that you shouldn't be looking at until you are old enough," she explained to the kit before closing the den with the shades so the kits wouldn't be able to see what was going on. The molly would break if her kits learned about it causing them to have nightmares. The queen flinched as her wound ached but shoved it aside before smiling at her kits.

Foggybrook peered at the drama between Hailstorm and Icestar who she learned awhile ago that they were related to each other. The molly watched as Icestar had a massage from her daughter then fell asleep? Who falls asleep in the middle of a bickering. Why was Hailstorm running? Why was everyone panicking when the leader was merely sleeping? Wait, why was red swea-blood gushing out of the leader? Foggybrook wasn't sure if Icestar was... dead?

This........was all happening to quickly. Icestar was dead, Hailstorm had fled, Dawnstipe was the leader, had exiled Falcondive, and sliced Icestar's face, Croakingtoad had lunged at Dawnstipe, trying to KILL her it seemed. Pressing closer to Foggybrook, he continued trembling, trembling, just......TERRIFIED. He had to protect her. Blackhaze had told him to. And he had to. And it would be hard, he was so sure. Dawnstipe........was evil, even more evil.

The frosty tom didn't blink. He stared straight ahead, refusing to miss one second of the murder. Because that's what it was, wasn't it? It was murder. Although, surely, the black-furred she would come back to life. The powerful leader had seemed infallible both in and out of battle, yet she had been defeated by a warrior - no, a rogue - who just happened to be her own daughter.

Talonstone couldn't imagine the shadows without Icestar towering over them. She had been the leader for as long as he could remember. Yet when a few cats pushed forwards to get a better look and returned with frantic whispering, dread settled in the warrior's chest. They couldn't be right. This was all wrong.

Then, the newly appointed deputy - or was she leader now? Whoever she was, she started laughing maniacally, and for just a second, fear flashed through the white-furred tom's gut. For all that his clanmates complained about her, if Icestar didn't come back, then they were all doomed. He didn't dare close his eyes, watching the strange molly closely as if he could defeat her with his sight.

And then other cats began screaming, yowling, trying to rile the others up. They were fools! All of them. Did they want to get killed? Wrong or not, Dawnstripe was a skilled warrior and a ruthless feline overall, not to mention slightly out of her mind. Although he wasn't in a position to speak; not many cats were sane these days. He stood silently, passively, hating that nothing worthwhile could be done about his clan's newest predicament.
