Weaseltooth lay outside in a secluded part of the clearing, nobody coming over at first until...
"Mr weaseltooth?" A small and familiar voice came from Soulkit. "Is something wrong?"
"... No." Weaseltooth lied, trying to convince the trio he was fine.
"Your tone of voice and expression tells us otherwise." Snowflakekit piped up.
Smolderkit nodded. "now cmon! Tell us what's eatin' at you!"
Weaseltooth growled again.
"I'm. Fine." He snarled, baring his teeth.
"Stop trying to bottle it all up!" The trio of kits mewed at the same time. Frostkit realized that he really wasn't better than everyone else, he was just as good. Tail drooping, he slowly began to approach just as weaseltooth started to get up. His eyes seemed to narrow in frustration. It was then frostkit realized weaseltooth was getting angry.
"You three, I think you're making him angry... It's best you go back to the nursery." He mewed to the trio, who then stubbornly refused.
"not until we've made sure Weaseltooth is alright." Soulkit suddenly snapped at frostkit. Weaseltooth had fully stood up, fur bristling. These four reminded him of Sootpelt- and he just couldn't take it anymore.
"You're just like her. stubborn, annoying, persistent and frustrating..." Weaseltooth suddenly snarled at the four kits before going to attack Soulkit, Smolderkit and Snowflakekit, who almost got hurt. But then, frostkit got in the way and took the blow before retaliating, claws unsheathed.
"That's enough, weaseltooth! What has gotten into you?! Calm down!" He meowed, but was suddenly cut off by Weaseltooth ramming into him. The demoted apprentice realized he needed to hold his ground and protect the three younger ones. Charging at Weaseltooth, he aimed three claw strikes- one at the head, one at the side and one at the legs. Only one hit- the head. Weaseltooth drew back in pain, hissing with pure hatred."Snowflakekit, smolderkit, Soulkit, get back to the nursery ASAP. I'll handle Weaseltooth." He growled before continuing to defend the trio. Weaseltooth, after the three kits had gotten back into the nursery, aimed a claw strike that suddenly tore off half of Frostkit's face. the demoted apprentice lost it and suddenly hit Weaseltooth hard enough to force the large Tom to retreat. "NOBODY messes with my friends." He growled as Weaseltooth backed off.
Birdsnow padded over to Weaseltooth, Winterpaw and Frostkit with a deep, warning snarl, disgusted by the infighting. And Weaseltooth was someone who had helped to save her life, but that didn't mean he had a free pass to maim children. "Weaseltooth, stand down." She barked, tail lashing as she attempted to stand in between Frostkit and Weaseltooth. Frostkit's face was injured, and she flicked her tail for him to leave. "Frostkit, go see Tansypaw and Falconfeather." She ordered firmly, blue eyes locked on Weaseltooth. No one hurt kids on her watch.
"Weaseltooth you have five seconds to explain to me why you felt it was appropriate to injure an apprentice before I give you something to be mad about." She snapped, tail lashing and eyes narrowed to slits.

Weaseltooth let out a low snarl that soon turned into a soft sigh. "Three kits wouldn't leave me alone, I lost my temper and I went into some sort of blind rage." He explained, ears flat on his head. "Then frostkit stepped in and saved the three but I attacked him. I tore off half his face. He was trying to protect the kits, and I... I had lost my temper. It's just... Ever since sootpelt got exiled, I've been questioning what I thought was wrong and right, my entire head hurts every time I think of her and when those three turned up, I... I snapped after they were being stubborn- just like Sootpelt would've been..." Weaseltooth looked like he was about to start crying. His ears had gone very flat now and his tail hung low.

"If this 'blind rage' of yours leads you to maim a fellow clan member, just because they were being a little annoying? Then I'd suggest you take that rage of yours and take it far away from my clan." She got right in Weaseltooth's face, daring him to attack hers as well. Anyone - anyone at all - who attacks kits due to their own volatile mood was a danger to be in camp. "I suggest you leave. Right now. From this moment until the day I die, you will be treated as an outsider. You no longer have a home here. Get out."

So Sootpelt was still causing her problems, even exiled and gone. Snarling softly, the deputy lashed her tail. "Do you understand how many cats go through similar feelings you do and somehow manage to not attack and maim children? You are absolutely pathetic and childish if it takes that much for you to want to harm kids." How she wanted to give him a taste of the wounds he had given Frostkit. Birdsnow turned her head as Larkstar appeared beside her, dipping her head as the leader took no time before exiling Weaseltooth. "I can escort him to the border, Larkstar." She offered, not keen on trusting him to leave immediately but also not wanting to risk Larkstar going out there herself while she was still recovering from the last attempt on her life.

The young trio of kits slowly padded over.
"If you're exiling him, you can go too. I've had enough of cats being kicked out and treated badly just because of things that can just be reasoned about." Smolderkit snarled, baring his teeth. Soulkit looked both angry and disgusted, and just lowered his head.
"Sorry, Larkstar, but I gotta agree. All the exiling for simple reasons that could just be talked through is getting too much for my precious little brain to handle. Either both of you leave or weaseltooth gets to stay."
"You are THIS CLOSE, " Snowflakekit hissed at Larkstar, using her tail to make a tiny circle shape. "To me just full-on striding out of this cesspool of exile and death. So help me, Larkstar, if you exile him then you can pack your stuff and leave too." The three were standing up for weaseltooth despite what happened...? What a shock.
Weaseltooth had already begun to slowly leave. His fuse was gonna blow at the rate of which this was going. But then he heard the trio of kits protecting him and standing up for him.
"I- even after I tried to off you?! Darn it, they're so kind..." A small tear fell from weaseltooth's eye. This was so kind of them, he'd never expected this.
(I'm sorry I couldn't resist the most wholesome scene I've ever roleplayed. They're doing a me when a classmate gets removed during school TwT)
Charredpaw slowly made his way over, even standing behind the kits.
"I just overheard everything. And you know what? These three are right. All this death, these rumors, all the exiles... I can't take it just as much as the next flipping apprentice. So either you're going with weaseltooth, or he's staying. End of discussion." He said this so calmly it was a tad unnerving. Weaseltooth got a sense of foreboding as he slowly began to leave. He thought charredpaw wasn't gonna agree... Something was wrong. The trio of kits, in sync, padded towards Larkstar while lashing their tails in sync.

Charredpaw slowly joined the trio of kits starting to walk towards Larkstar, clearly disappointed. "Yknow, I actually expected better from a role model. It's not his fault he misses sootpelt. It's Birdsnow's for exiling her. So yknow what, you can leave if you think I'm gonna let you exile the only tom who's actually been a father figure for me my entire life up to now. I never even knew my father, I don't even know who he is because of the events in my life. Today, here, now, I change things and stand up to how my fate was set." He growled, ears flat in disgust. He looked almost... Wait, that was! He was being more brave! His courage was back, and stronger than ever before!

Springpaw had stayed out of this because she was sure both Lark and Bird could handle it all. It was after all an idiot threatening kits and an apprentice with physical violence. Something that everyone in a clan didn't stand for, especially when it was a clanmate. Well, at least if they had a damn brain but hearing the kits speak up for their would-be attacker and the newbie apprentice join in. The torbie had to take a second look, was she seeing things or had she hit her head and had a nightmare? Especially when three stupid little kits felt they had any authority in the clan to try and kick out a leader. Who the hell was raising these little demons, since when did they care for the social going on in a clan? Especially when said kits weren't even clan born. Getting up she stomped over to the group, setting her fiery green eyes upon the idiotic groupie. "If I were you three I'd watch your goddamn mouth or ill send you back to where you came from outsiders" she hissed who cares if these little rats were kits.
"You're outsiders, never born in a clan so you have no idea how clan life works, but ill inform your tiny minds" she stared down at them. Each one screamed idiots to her, if she listened to their puny reasoning then she would include herself in that. "You attack a clanmate with intentions to hurt? you're outta here no longer welcomes because who knows who you'll go after next!" she hissed. "You show you have no regard for authority and will do anything to get what you want be it if a cat has to die? You're gone, maybe even killed because you're a threat!" how bad she wanted to drag these things out of here and chase them away. Whoever raised these kits failed at it since they felt the need to talk big, she would treat them like adults. "Whoever raised you, did a poor job at it because you can't even listen to reason by the leader and you're defending someone ready to KILL you in a moment's notice." she aimed to swat away snowflakekit for their hissing, she would have none of that.
"Larkstar exiled them for very good reasons, ones that you can't seem to understand, so I you're any kind of smart, you would learn to keep your mouth shut" Springpaw stood in front of the three, making sure all they could see was her side. And if any of these idiots tried to get past her, she would stop them. "Learn how clan life works before you even try to argue with someone who's lived here far longer than you" Tail lashing as she leveled the three with a glare, "If you don't learn how things work around here, you won't last whole another moon as a clanmate the instant your an apprentice and you choose to do something stupid that's a threat to everyone here, your gone"
Oh great, now the newbie was speaking out like a true ignorant fool that they are. Springpaw had a few words for weaseltooth but Charredboy here just screamed 'im an idiot' to her. She wondered if they were all related because every single one of them was causing trouble now. "Listen newbie, you just became an apprentice after you were sniveling behind others as a child, fix you're self before you get wrecked" she snarled. The older apprentice hated cats who acted like a pansy but suddenly got brave when they felt like they were getting wronged. Why couldn't they grow a pair and not hide behind others because they couldn't handle a bit of pressure? "You're another outsider who joined our ranks, one who was hiding from a weak-ass loner when in the confines of camp. you don't know nothing of what has been going on around here!" she shot daggers at them, it was taking all her strength to not swing at this one. "Let me switch it for all five of you imbeciles since you love Weaseltooth so goddamn much to ignore he tried to kill you, you can ALL leave and not come back, after all a family of rats do belong together." she sneered
Could she finally turn her attention to the cause of this whole stupid fiasco? Of course, she said what she wanted to say to the three mousekateers and their pansy chaperone. " As for you, a poor excuse of a warrior, whoever trained you did a piss poor job of it because they should have instilled in you to never attack clanmates no matter what, you're the scum of this earth, the very bottom trash that I step on as I go about my life, you should never be around anyone if physical violence is the go-to answer you deserve to live forever alone to wonder life like an insect fighting to live its life" tail lashing for now, she was done with her words, silently wondering if these fools would say anything. Then again she wasn't sure if she wanted to hear whatever these dark forest minions had to say. "Oh before I forget, you can take that miracle girlfriend of yours with you too, she'll probably come screaming like a banshee because her daddy got kicked.

"Thank you, Birdsnow," Larkstar says when Birdsnow makes her offer, and she's prepared to return to her duties after that when the most absurd thing happens. The three kits, Soul, Smolder and Snowflake, actually stand up for and defend the filth that just made an attempt on their lives. And, more than that, the three of them stare her down and threaten to exile their leader. The sheer absurdity of it all just makes Lark want to laugh. And, when Charredpaw joins in with the kit's campaign to remove her, she actually does bark a short, rueful laugh, the stress that's been piling on her shoulders spilling over a little now. She knows she shouldn't yell at the kits - they're just kits they don't know any better, but right now she's just going to yell at the first cat who gets on her nerves.
"I couldn't care less about his reasons," she snaps after Charredpaw, who'd wandered over too to share his own thoughts that she didn't ask to hear, spoke, her ears flat against her head and maw drawn back in a snarl. "Any cat who makes an attempt to kill another member of my clan, whether he's successful or not, has no place here!" The kits are too kind for their own good, too forgiving to a tom who would have taken their lives if Frostkit hadn't stepped in the way and taken the attack for him.
Springpaw joined them all, then, snarling at the four morons who felt it necessary to defend the weasel among them. It was almost laughable, really, every cat knows that if you attack a clanmate the the intent to hurt or even kill them, that's probably the last time you're ever going to be viewed as a clan member. It was disgusting is what it was. Larkwing let Springpaw speak, and she honestly couldn't say she didn't agree with every work spoken.
"You three," she spat at the three kits, "get to the nursery and stay there, someone will be around to lecture you about clan life until you realize the severity of that weasel's actions." Tail swishing violently behind her, Larkstar leveled her gaze on Charredpaw. "Charredpaw, you have been sheltered here from the loner who wished you dead for several moons now, I expected you to be able to understand our rules by now. Get to the apprentice's den, you are to stay in camp for the foreseeable future. But if any of you," - although she addressed the five insolent souls in front of her with that last part, she was truly addressing the clan as a whole, "have a problem with how I run MY clan, you're welcome to join Weaseltooth in exile." She shot a pointed glare at Weaseltooth, claws unsheathing and sheathing again - a warning that he should leave now before her claws had anything to say about the matter.
