The tabby she-cat flattened her ears. What the hell was she supposed to do about this? Everyone was gone anyway, at the stupid battle. They didn't even have their medicine cats! As Violetfreckle went to open her mouth, it seemed injured cats weer pouring into the clearing. She blinked, closed her mouth, and forgot immediately about poor Cherrypaw. She had something else on her mind, something far more important. Someone.
And so Violetfreckle scanned the growing crowd for that pale tabby pelt, that familiar face marred with claw marks, those bright green eyes.
Stotmclaw gave a small nod before sitting up. "It means there's more warriors to protect the clan." He nudged the little kit with his paw gently. "So, be happy they're back rather than scared."
"I get that. They're tough. It's not nice seeing others hurt, especially if you're close with them." Stormclaw sighed softly and dug softly at the ground. "I'm scared too, but as a warrior you need to fight your fears. It's a tough battle, but I believe you can do it."
